聚焦竞赛丨15枚全球金奖！IB学子国际数学竞赛硕果累累
近日，19名IB学子在2023英国UKMT-IMC数学中级竞赛中斩获世界级奖项，其中包含15枚全球金奖、3枚全球银奖、1枚全球铜奖、1枚学校最佳荣誉奖及1枚年级最佳荣誉奖，3位同学在斩获赛事金奖的同时以优异的成绩晋级到接下来的进阶挑战！
英国数学基金会 (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust, UKMT) 成立于 1996 年，是英国规模最大、权威度最高的数学竞赛组织单位，着重考察数学能力和逻辑推理技巧，海外名校认可度高。此系列竞赛鼓励学生发挥逻辑推理能力，培养缜密思维，使用基本的数学方法来解决新奇有趣的题目，可以很好地检验学生对于数学理解的深度和广度。
在参加竞赛的过程中，同学们丰富学科知识，深入探究，提高对相关学科的认知，提高分析和解决问题的能力。而在备赛过程中，广州外国语学校爱莎文华IBDP课程的老师们就学生思维提升、知识点拓展、解题技巧提高等方面开展了系统辅导，为同学们强势助力。

Recently, 19 IB students won world-class awards in the 2023 UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge, including 15 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze, 1 best in school and 1 best in year, and 3 students, who were awarded gold, got invitation to participate in the next advanced challenge!
United Kingdom Mathematics Trust
Founded in 1996, the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) is the largest and most authoritative mathematics competition organizer in the UK. Its competitions examine students’ mathematical ability and logical reasoning skills and are highly recognized by international prestigious schools. Its series of competitions encourage students to develop their logical reasoning ability, cultivate careful thinking, and use basic mathematical methods to solve novel and interesting problems. They test the depth and breadth of students' understanding of mathematics.
While participating in the competition, the students enriched their subject knowledge, through in-depth inquiry, improved their understanding of the subject, and improved their ability to analyse and solve problems. In the process of preparation for the competition, the teachers at GZFLS ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme provided systematic guidance on improving students' thinking, expanding their knowledge concepts, and improving their problem-solving skills, etc., to give strong support to the students.
