广州斐特思室内马术馆四月开放！赶紧跨上你的马鞍开启骑手人生！
在广州斐特思开展的70多项CCA课外拓展课中，马术一直是备受学生青睐的热门选修课，我们在运动场上常能听见阵阵马蹄声。为了让广州斐特思的骑手们能够在更舒适、配套更完备的场所中训练，我们将在四月份开设全新的室内马术馆！无论是初级骑手或是进阶骑手，都可以在这个室内马术馆完成各项马术课程。
Amongst the 70+ co-curricular activities offered at Fettes College Guangzhou, equestrianism has always been a popular option for students. On the FCG sports field you can often hear the sounds of horses' hooves. To allow FCG riders to train in a more comfortable and well-equipped facility, FCG will open a new indoor riding arena in April! Both beginners and advanced riders can complete their riding lessons in this indoor arena.
Temperature-Controlled 800m² Space
for Comfortable All-Weather Training
广州斐特思室内马术馆占地近800平米，设施完备，拥有6个精美的马房，盛装舞步围栏、障碍架、障碍杆、小地杆等专业练习设施，以及训练区、装备房、备马区、草料房、骑乘等候区等专业马场设置。为了让学员在学习马术的过程中获得更多的知识，我们还特别布置了马术标志桶、马术线路图、马术科普墙等知识充电区。
FCG indoor riding arena boasts a vast area of approximately 800 square meters and six exquisitely designed stables. Professional practice equipment including dressage fences, obstacle racks, obstacle poles and small ground poles adorn the premises alongside various stable settings such as a training area, equipment room, horse preparation area, forage room, and a waiting area for riders.
To enhance the horsemanship learning experience for our students, we have designed the area with equestrian displays such as equestrian sign barrels, equestrian route maps, and equestrian science walls.
马术馆采用欧式室内设计风格，地面铺设赛事标准纤维沙，所有设施均使用高品质原木建造，建材来自国内高规格马术比赛指定供应商。马房铺设10cm厚的纯木刨花，为马匹提供进口苜蓿作为主要饲料，每天定时养护和洗澡，以确保马匹的健康和舒适。
此外，我们还配置了现代化照明设备和先进的通风和控温系统，在任何天气条件下，学员都可以在稳定的室温下进行安全、舒适的训练。
The indoor riding arena boasts a refined European interior design style, and the ground is paved with event-standard fibre sand. Our facilities are constructed from high-quality logs sourced from designated domestic equestrian competition suppliers. Our stables are paved with a 10cm-thick layer of pure wood shavings, and our horses receive imported alfalfa as their primary feed. Our equine residents are well-cared for and receive regular maintenance and daily baths to ensure their optimal health and comfort.
Moreover, we have installed modern lighting and an advanced ventilation and temperature control system, ensuring that our students can safely and comfortably train at a stable room temperature in all weather conditions.
Mathematics is one of Anna's best subjects, and she enjoys solving mathematics problems. To prepare for the AMC, she prepared by summarising the types of questions and the range of knowledge needed from many previous exams. Anna has developed her confidence by ensuring she only had very few mistakes after completion of all the questions. Anna considers the competition guidance from her mathematics teacher, Ms Ke, and the school atmosphere crucial to her learning outcomes. In the future, Anna still hopes to challenge herself as much as possible in mathematics and explore her potential.
An All-Ages Progression Programme
广州斐特思的马术课程融合了法国Galop马术教学体系，参照中国马术协会骑手通级考核标准，可以为全龄段学员提供个性化的马术启蒙、进阶学习、及高阶国际赛事的培训。
马术运动是奥运会众多项目中唯一一项有动物参与的运动。在广州斐特思，我们坚信骑手与马匹之间的情感联系是马术学习的核心，因此我们的马术课程不仅注重骑乘技巧，更强调学员与训练伙伴之间的默契和互信。在我们的马术实践课程中，学员将全面了解马匹护理、马房管理等知识，培养责任感和关怀意识，建立与马匹的信任关系，为骑乘训练的无间配合打下坚实的基础。
The FCG equestrian programme integrates the French Galop and the China Equestrian Association's Rider Proficiency Test to offer customised initiation and advanced training for equestrians of all ages.
At FCG, we place great emphasis on the emotional bond between the rider and horse as the foundation of equestrian learning. Our riding lessons prioritise the development of riding skills and the cultivation of a mutual understanding and trust between the rider and horse. Our stable practical classes provide students with a comprehensive understanding of horse care and management, instill a sense of responsibility and respect, foster trust with the horse, and establish a strong foundation for all competition and training activities.
Daniel has won several awards at the classical guitar competition in the last two years.

我们的马场配置了1.1米的纯种Pony和赛事级别的半血马，能够满足所有年龄段和学习进度的学员需求。所有马匹均经过精心挑选，它们不仅有着丰富的参赛经验和“带课”经验，而且性格成熟稳定，并拥有中国马术协会的护照。来到广州斐特思马术馆的马匹每天都会接受资深教练员的系统性骑行和打圈训练，确保学员在上课时能够得到稳定和高质量的运动体验。
Our indoor riding arena is equipped with thoroughbred ponies just over one meter tall and race-grade half-bloods to meet the needs of students of all ages and learning progressions. All horses have been carefully selected for their experience in competitions, their mature and stable personalities, and they have a Chinese Equestrian Association passport. The horses that come to FCG are systematically ridden and ringed daily by experienced trainers to ensure that students receive a consistent and quality exercise experience during their lessons.
我们与广州博塞马术俱乐部合作，为学员量身打造完善的马术课程。广州博塞马术获“国家级青少年体育俱乐部”等权威资质认证，是2023年广东省马术U系列赛事广州地区唯一承办单位。他们拥有丰富的校园马术培训经验和完整的课程进阶体系，其教练团队均为中国马术协会星级认证教练，不仅个人马术比赛成绩优异，而且拥有丰富的教学经验。
在2022年中国马术协会的通级考核中，所有博塞马术的学员都成功通过了考核。2021年广东青年马术系列赛事中，博塞马术的学员获得了舞步第一名，障碍60第二名，障碍30第二、第三名，地杆第二名等优异成绩。
We have formed a partnership with Guangzhou Bosai Equestrian to establish a comprehensive equestrian programme for students at FCG. Bosai Equestrian is a certified National Youth Sports Club. Bosai Equestrian's instructor team is composed entirely of star-certified instructors from the China Equestrian Association. In the 2022 China Equestrian Association's Rider Proficiency Test, all students from Bosai Equestrian successfully passed the test. In the 2021 Guangdong Youth Equestrian Series, students from Bosai Equestrian achieved impressive results. They secured the first position in dressage, and came second in showjumping and ground rail.
在骑马的过程中，骑手需要通过全身协调运动来配合马匹，从而使得各部位的肌肉都得到锻炼。同时，面对这样有高度挑战的运动，骑手需要具备勇气和极高的心理素质，与自己的马进行有效沟通、默契配合，经历身体和心理的训练，从而成为一名从容、自信、优雅、温暖的运动员，这些优秀的品格可使学员终生受益，这也是广州斐特思希望通过马术练习赋予我们学生的一项优势与财富。
Riding a horse requires the rider to synchronise their body movements with that of the horse, thereby engaging all muscle groups. This demanding sport also calls for a combination of courage and mental fitness to effectively communicate with the horse, undergo physical and psychological training, and develop into a composed, self-assured, refined, and affable athlete. These qualities are excellent attributes that can benefit students throughout their lives, and FCG aims to provide this advantage and asset to our students through equestrian practice.
广州斐特思还将计划推出一项更加激动人心的举措: 我们将设立全额奖学金，招收马术特长生，并组建一支专业的广州斐特思马术校队。我们将为这支校队的骑手提供更高水平的指导和更具挑战性的训练，帮助他们在马术领域更进一步，助力他们在全国乃至国际平台上展现自己的才华，带领校园里的所有骑手更加精进，引领“骑”跑线。

FCG has plans to introduce an innovative initiative that involves the provision of a complete scholarship to a skilled equestrian student. Additionally, we intend to establish a professional equestrian varsity team under the banner of FCG. This team will receive advanced coaching and rigorous training to enhance their equestrian skills, enabling them to demonstrate their abilities on a national and international stage.
FCG provides a diverse range of over 70 co-curricular activities for students. These programmes encompass an extensive variety of sports facilities and venues, featuring more than 20 distinct options, such as hockey, tennis, golf, squash, swimming, basketball, football and other sports. FCG recognises the aspirations of students who aim to pursue a career in sports. Hence, we provide access to internationally certified coaches and national athletes with high-level teaching resources, supporting them to explore diverse future pathways to fulfil their ambitions.
