 毕业 · 踏上更精彩的学习之旅

On 14th and 15th June, ISASC held the End of Year Celebrations for EY4 and G5 students respectively, celebrating the successful completion of the Early Years and Primary School. 

6月14日和15日，爱莎科学城学校分别举办了幼儿园和小学结业典礼，庆祝学生圆满结束幼儿园和小学的学习历程，鼓舞他们即将迈入新的学习阶段。

Commending the culmination of the kindergarten years as an extraordinary milestone in a child's journey. We gathered on June 14th to joyously commemorate this significant occasion in the Primary School assembly hall. Joined by proud parents and family members, students, EY4 teams, Head of School Mr. Paul Bawden and our EY leadership team, we collectively bore witness to the heartwarming moment when our EY4 students were presented with their well-deserved Early Years graduation certificates. This grand celebration served as a splendid opportunity to honor their learning endeavors and acknowledge this noteworthy milestone. 

幼儿园毕业是孩子学习生涯中的一个意义非凡的里程碑。6月14日，爱莎科学城幼儿园在小学部礼堂为EY4学生举办了毕业典礼，内心充满自豪的家长们、学生、老师、校长以及幼儿园领导团队成员齐聚一堂，共同见证孩子们接过人生第一张结业证书的感人时刻。毕业典礼作为一个盛大的庆祝活动，无疑对孩子们的学习成果与付出给予了极大的肯定，鼓励他们在未来学习旅程中更进一竿。

Gracing the event with his wisdom and heartfelt words, Mr. Paul Bawden, our Head of School, delivered a poignant speech to the parents, imparting invaluable advice. He encouraged parents to relish each cherished moment with their child, nurturing their curiosity through shared reading experiences, actively engaging in their inquiries, and embarking on exciting adventures together. Recognising the profound impact parents have as role models, he underscored their role as the most influential figures in their child's life. 

毕业典礼开始，总校长Paul Bawden先生真挚地向到场的家长表达了欢迎，并用智慧的语言向家长传授了宝贵的建议。他鼓励家长们珍惜与孩子的亲子时光，通过陪伴式阅读培养孩子的好奇心，并积极参与孩子的探究，与他们一起经历种种“冒险”——强调父母作为孩子生命中最有影响力的人物，起到的表率作用对孩子产生的深远影响。

Our EY4 students, with heads held high, embarked on their journey down the aisle to receive their Early Years certificates. With warm smiles and heartfelt congratulations, Mr. Paul and the homeroom teachers embraced each student, lauding their remarkable achievements. Following this heartfelt gesture, the EY4 students harmoniously serenaded their parents with two special songs, expressing gratitude and admiration. They handed out bouquets of flowers, offering tokens of appreciation to their parents, as well as the dedicated EY4 team and specialist teachers who had been instrumental in their growth. 

幼儿园大班的小小毕业生们昂首挺胸，迈着轻快地步伐，双手接过幼儿园毕业证书。校长Paul先生和主班老师带着热情的微笑和衷心的祝福，拥抱了每一位学生，并称赞他们过去的出色表现。在这一系列温情的举动后，孩子们用两首特别的歌曲献给了在座的父母，并双手捧起花束，献给了爸爸妈妈和老师，以此表达感谢。

Marking milestones and celebrating educational achievements fosters a profound sense of accomplishment and pride within children. Our rigorous Early Years program has equipped our EY4 students with essential life skills and abundant opportunities for holistic development, laying a robust foundation for their educational journey. As they leap forward into the realm of Primary School, we extend our heartfelt wishes to our resilient EY4 students, bidding them the very best as they embark on their Grade 1 journey in the upcoming academic year.

充满仪式感的结业典礼作为一项庆祝学业里程碑和教育成就的活动，有助于培养孩子获得成就感和自豪感。学校的幼儿园课程为EY4的学生提供了目前年龄段应具备、且助力他们在各个发展领域获得成就的各项生活与学习技能，为他们未来的教育旅程夯实基础。相信现在的他们，已经充分做好了迈向小学生活的准备，作为幼儿园校长，我衷心祝福这一届EY4的学生在未来的小学学习旅程中一切顺利。

The Grade 5 Graduation was a special time for students to reflect on their schooling journey taken until now, and it was also a time for thinking about what is coming next. We commenced the occasion with a ‘Clap Out’ (procession) through the Primary School, past all the students in Grades 1-4, who celebrated with the Grade 5 students as they walked by. The ‘Clap Out’ (procession) finished at the Auditorium, where students walked in accompanied by special music, looking very smart in their graduation gowns.

小学五年级的毕业典礼是一个具有特殊意义的时刻，既可以让学生回顾到目前为止的求学历程，又鼓励了他们思考未来。典礼开始前，伴随着1-4年级全体学生们热烈的掌声，五年级学生穿着正式的毕业服，从小学廊道走过，在激动人心的音乐中走入毕业典礼会场，充满了智慧与朝气。

The official ceremony began with a piano performance by one of the talented Grade 5 students. This was followed by a warm welcome from Ms Annie, and Head of School, Mr Paul Bawden’s address. The audience then enjoyed a wonderful showcase of photos - memories of the year spent as a Grade 5 cohort.

毕业典礼以一位才华横溢的五年级学生的钢琴表演拉开序幕。紧接着，小学副校长Annie女士与校长Paul先生轮番上台致辞，向到场的家长、老师与学生表达了热烈的欢迎，并向观众们播放了精彩的年度回忆照片展示。

Ms Louise shared some thoughts with the students. She spoke about the ‘extraordinary’ achievements of the Grade 5 cohort who had worked hard and reached their goals, and didn’t give up despite facing challenges along the way; who had supported and encouraged others; who had inspired others with their actions, especially with their PYPX projects; and who had displayed confidence in situations that most adults would be afraid of – such as speaking publicly in English in front of many strangers during the PYP exhibition. 

小学校长Louise女士上台发表讲话，谈及五年级学生这一年中的“非凡”成就与表现——他们努力学习，力争上游，尽管过程中历经种种挑战仍然不愿放弃；他们支持与鼓励彼此，并用行动(尤其通过PYPX小学毕业成果展项目)激励更多的人；他们在大多数成年人都会怯场的场面中展现了十足的自信，例如在PYPX中用英语自如地向许多陌生来宾公开演讲，介绍自己的研究成果。

Her advice/tips for the next phase of the students’ educational journey were to make a ‘plan’ and set goals; explore their passions and find their own version of ‘success’ (dare to be different and take some ‘risks’); widen their friendship circle and make new friends; have an “I can do” (growth mindset) and positive attitude; and also remember the power of a ‘smile’. 

Louise女士对学生的下一段教育旅程的建议是：制定合理的计划与目标、不断发掘内心的热爱并找到适合开拓“成功”的领域(敢于做与众不同的人和冒险者)、扩大交际圈，结识新伙伴、拥有“我能行”的成长心态和积极的态度，以及记住“微笑”带来的力量。

Grade 5 students all received certificates as recognition of their time at ISA Science City. Several students delivered thoughtful “thank you” messages to acknowledge their parents and ISA Science City staff for their support and encouragement throughout their primary years, and there were also engaging reflections about the past (memories of primary school) and what lies ahead in the future.  

五年级的学生都获得了表彰他们在爱莎科学城学习成果的毕业证书。学生代表在现场运用成熟的语言组织能力，对在座的父母和学校工作人员表达了谢意，感谢他们曾经提供的支持与鼓励，同时对过去的经历和未来的计划进行了思考与分享。

The audience was treated to more musical performances from talented Grade 5 students, including a singing duet and violin piece. The ceremony concluded with the Grade 5 cohort joining together to sing ‘Together, We Can Change the World’.

活动接近尾声，观众们欣赏了来自五年级更多有才能的学生带来的音乐表演，包括二重唱和小提琴等。最终，毕业典礼以一首五年级全体学生的合唱《团结起来，我们可以改变世界》落下了帷幕。

On behalf of the Primary School at ISA Science City, we wish all our Grade 5 students an exciting and successful journey into Secondary School and beyond.

我代表爱莎科学城小学部，祝愿所有5年级的学生在进入中学阶段的学习，以及未来的生活中心想事成，更上一层楼。
