2022年6月14日上午，中国跳水运动员、奥运会双料冠军陈艾森在暨南大学对外联络处处长梁燕的陪同下莅临广州暨大港澳子弟学校，我校理事长邓强光、执行校长封岩，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校执行理事易丽华、东莞市高埗世外实验小学校长周斌陪同参观并进行了友好的交流。

陈艾森先生一行依次参观了图书馆、体育馆、ECA教室、中小学课室、多功能健身室等，了解了学校教学科研、文化学术、人才培养等情况。他表示国家越来越重视青少年的健康成长，鼓励学生走向操场、走进大自然、走到阳光下；暨大港澳子弟学校能从创校之初就提出“体教合一” 与国家素质教育理念高度契合，具有战略眼光。此次得到暨南大学和暨大港澳子弟学校的信任，成为学校学术顾问，他感到非常荣幸，并表示将通过自己和团队的力量，在体育协会的支持下，针对学校“体教合一”的办学特色，设计一系列的专业培训课程，为暨大港澳子弟学校的同学们提供专业指导和服务。

座谈会上，执行校长封岩首先代表学校对陈艾森先生一行的到来表示热烈欢迎，并简要介绍了学校的整体情况。她表示学校一直把增强学生体质作为学校教育的目标之一，在课程设计上会更多地给予学生体育活动时间，充分调动他们体育锻炼的积极性。陈艾森先生是体育翘楚，多次在专业的国际体育赛场上为国争光，充分展现了中国运动员不怕苦、不畏难、坚持不懈的体育精神。希望双方往后能有更深入的交流和互动，在学校体育设施建设、体育课程设计、专业水平提升、素质锻炼、人才培养、意志力提升等多方面给予指导。

梁燕处长对广州暨大港澳子弟学校打造 “暨大本色、湾区底色、港澳特色”的校园所取得的成绩表示高度肯定，并提出学校未来要在体育、艺术等方面也要办出特色，充分挖掘学生潜能，加大体育方面的宣传，鼓励学生们积极参加体育锻炼，实现“全人教育”的目标。

邓强光理事长表示加强青少年体育锻炼、增强体质是国家素质教育方针，也是学校的目标之一。希望通过此次交流，双方能建立友好合作关系，比如为我校同学提供体育技能课程、举办体育项目训练夏令营、暑期防溺水教育的讲座等。

On the morning of June 14, 2022, Mr Chen Aisen, Chinese diving star and Olympic champion, and Ms Liang Yan, Director of Jinan University International Liaison Office, visited ASJ. Mr Lucas Deng, Executive Director of ASJ School Board, Ms Jessica Feng, Executive Principal of ASJ, Ms Yi Lihua, Executive Director of ASJ Dongguan School Board, and Mr Zhou Bin, Principal of Dongguan Gaobu Shiwai Experimental Primary School, accompanied the visitors and had a friendly exchange.

Mr Chen visited the library, gymnasium, ECA classrooms, primary and secondary school classrooms, multi-functional fitness room, etc., and learned about the school's teaching and research, culture and academics, and talent cultivation. He said that our country is paying more and more attention to the healthy growth of young people, encouraging students to go to the playground. With the support of the Sports Association, he will design a series of professional training courses for the students of ASJ, in line with the school's characteristic of "Sports and Education in One". He will provide professional guidance and services to our students.

At the seminar, Ms Feng firstly expressed a warm welcome to Mr Chen and his delegation on behalf of the school and briefly introduced ASJ. She said that our school has always considered enhancing students' physical fitness as one of the objectives of school education. Our curriculum gives students more time for physical activities and motivates them to engage in exercise. Mr Chen is a leading sportsman who has competed for China in many professional international sports competitions. He has fully demonstrated the sportsmanship of Chinese athletes who are not afraid of hardship and perseverance. We hope that both sides can have more in-depth exchanges and interactions in the future, and give guidance in various aspects such as the construction of sports facilities in schools, the design of sports courses, the enhancement of professional standards, quality exercise, talent training, and the enhancement of willpower.

Ms Liang expressed her high appreciation for the achievements of ASJ in creating a campus with “the tradition of Jinan University, the vision of the Greater Bay Area, the characteristics of Hong Kong and Macao.” She also said that ASJ should develop its characteristics in sports and arts, fully explore the potential of students, increase publicity on sports, encourage students to exercise actively, and achieve the goal of "Holistic Education." 

Mr Deng stated that strengthening physical exercise for young people and enhancing physical fitness is one of the national guidelines for quality education and one of the goals of our school. We hope that through this exchange, the two sides can establish friendly cooperation, such as providing sports skills courses for our students, organising summer camps for sports training, and seminars on drowning prevention education in summer.
