For Literacy Month, the Library Club students embarked on The AudioBook Project. As a school, the array of resources available to students is endless! But students found that one library area that needs more focus is the audiobook collection.

Audiobooks are a fun way to bring stories to life. Most importantly, it can also play a critical role in improving literacy skills. Students might notice plot points that they might not have otherwise spotted, and by listening to the narrator, the different sounds of the voice can guide students through the book, helping them uncover new things they might have overlooked. 

有声读物是一种将故事带入生活的有趣方式。最重要的是，它还可以在提高文学技能方面发挥关键作用。学生们可能会留意到之前没有注意到的情节，通过听叙述者，不同的声音可以引导学生阅读这本书，帮助他们发现被忽视的新事物。

For many ASJ students, English is their second language. As Language learners, an audiobook can be used to build fluency. To become fluent in another language, one of the ways to do so is to listen to other people speak it. Listening to an audiobook can also help build listening skills in students. The addition of these exciting audiobooks will be a great way for students to learn new words and build their literacy.
