A Dedicated and Growing
Team of Educators
Our teaching team has expanded to support our students and ensure a high-quality educational experience. Meanwhile, as a British school, we take pride in having a Prep School team that are 100% British-trained. This commitment is meaningful to us, as we believe that a team of British-qualified teachers is essential for guiding our students through the British thematic curriculum, fostering strong language skills, and building a solid academic foundation for their future learning journey.
Ms Bateman, Head of Prep School, is excited to see her team continue to grow and shares the key to maintaining our high standards:
The British Curriculum is renowned for its excellent quality of education and interactive teaching methodologies, which help us offer students a vast scope to build critical and analytical thinking. By constantly reviewing our curriculum, delivering the best educational practices, and providing constructive feedback for all areas of improvement, we ensure that students at LEH Prep School have access to the best quality of education. By employing British-trained educators, we can do this as we all have the training and understanding to do this as a team.
In addition, we have experienced specialist teachers for subjects such as Music, PE, Spanish, and Chinese, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded and enriching education.
Small Class Size for
Individualised Attention
Growing alongside our teaching staff is our Prep School student body, now reaching over 100 students.
We have carefully balanced this expansion with our commitment to small class sizes and personalised support, maintaining a maximum of 20 students per class. With two classes per year group from Year 2 to Year 6, our students fully benefit from the expertise of our dedicated teaching staff. This structure allows us to provide individualised attention to each student, ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need to succeed. Our teachers can focus on each learner and foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and engagement.
Growth and Development
of Prep School
This year marks the third consecutive year of our Prep School, and we couldn’t be prouder of our achievements together. Beyond our expanding community, we have created an engaging and immersive learning environment for our students. From thoughtfully decorated classrooms and our Prep School Garden to extensive outdoor facilities, every space is designed to support student growth. We also have a team of support teachers dedicated to offering English language assistance, ensuring every child can thrive.
Our boarding facilities are now open to younger students, with dedicated support and pastoral care to meet their needs. Additionally, our emerging house culture fosters a strong sense of community, bringing students together in a spirit of camaraderie and belonging.
Each day in Prep School revolves around three key principles: happy, busy, and purposeful. Our 8C values guide us in creating a dynamic, supportive, and enriching experience for every student.
Reflecting on the journey of Prep School, Ms Bateman finds it truly remarkable to see how far it has come.
From its humble beginnings, it has grown into a thriving Prep School known for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. One of the most significant accomplishments is the consistent improvement in student performance and the expansion of extracurricular programmes. These have provided students with opportunities to explore their interests and talents beyond the classroom, fostering a well-rounded education. Another proud achievement is the strong sense of community that has been built over the last few years. The collaboration between teachers, students, and parents has created a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages growth and learning.
Looking to the future, Ms Bateman shares her goals and aspirations for Prep School as we continue to grow.
The one, we spoke about earlier to continue to continuously update and improve the curriculum o ensure it meets the evolving educational standards and prepares students for future challenges will always remain at the forefront of our development. Alongside this technology integration and incorporating the latest technology into classrooms to enhance learning experiences and keep students engaged with interactive and innovative teaching methods. To further grow the holistic development and focus on the overall development of our students by continuing to offer a balanced mix of academics, sports, arts, and extracurricular activities. These goals can help LEH Prep School create an even better nurturing and forward-thinking environment that prepares all our students for success in all aspects of life.
As our Prep School’s journey of growth and achievement continues, we look forward to seeing what the future holds for our vibrant community!
