Exploring CUHK-Shenzhen ｜中学部升学活动——走进香港中文大学（深圳），探索前沿学术殿堂

To enable our students to closely engage with the educational philosophies and teaching styles of universities, and to assist them in making informed choices for their future academic pursuits, on 27th November, ASJ (Dongguan) arranged a visit and an exchange trip for students in Grades 11 and 12 to The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen).

为让学子们近距离接触大学的办学理念和教学特色，以便他们未来选择合适自己的大学进行深造，11月27日，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校组织中学部十一和十二年级的学生前往香港中文大学（深圳）（以下简称：“港中深”）进行参观交流。

Upon arriving at the CUHK-Shenzhen campus, the students embarked on an exciting campus tour. They visited various public facilities, including teaching buildings, administrative buildings, and the library, immersing themselves in the university's abundant resources and vibrant academic environment. The students were particularly struck by the campus's contemporary architecture and picturesque natural surroundings, which not only offered a conducive learning environment but also sparked their intellectual curiosity and future ambitions.

学生们抵达港中深校园后，即刻开始了令人兴奋的校园之旅。他们浏览了校园内的公共设施，如教学楼、行政楼和图书馆等等，感受大学资源的丰富和学习氛围的浓厚。学生们惊叹于校园的现代化建筑和优美的自然环境，这些设施不仅提供了舒适的学习环境，也激发了他们对知识的渴望和对未来的憧憬。

After experiencing the advanced facilities and academic atmosphere of the university, the students had a privilege of attending a meticulously prepared science lecture by Professor HUANG Xianda, the Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine at CUHK-Shenzhen, titled "The Drop of Blood from a Mosquito Bite - Initiating the Great Future of Life Sciences". They learned about the mysteries of life sciences and developed a strong interest in this cutting-edge discipline. This lecture not only broadened the students' horizons but also stimulated their interests in life sciences research.

在感受完大学的先进设施和学术氛围后，学生们有幸聆听了港中深医学院副院长黄宪达教授精心准备的科普讲座《蚊子叮上的那滴血-启动生命科学大未来》，了解生命科学的奥秘，同时也对这一前沿学科产生了浓厚的探究欲。这场讲座不仅拓宽了学生们的视野，也激发了他们对生命科学研究的兴趣。

Following the lecture, Professor HUANG provided the students with an in-depth overview of CUHK-Shenzhen's academic resources, the university's profile, and its distinctive teaching methods, encouraging them to set ambitious goals early on and to pursue academic excellence. His insights offered the students a more profound understanding of university life and invaluable guidance for their future planning.

随后，黄宪达教授还向同学们详细介绍了港中深的学术资源、学院概况以及教学特色，并鼓励同学们趁早设立目标，勇攀学术高峰。教授的分享让学生们对大学的学习生活有了更深入的了解，也为他们的未来规划提供了宝贵的参考。

Furthermore, the students gained insights into the university's admission policies and criteria from the admissions team at CUHK-Shenzhen. This part of the visit gave the students a clearer understanding of how to prepare for university applications and illuminated the path to their academic advancement.

除此之外，学生们还从港中深招生组老师处了解到了该校的招生政策和录取标准。这一环节让学生们对如何准备大学申请有了更清晰的认识，也为他们的升学之路指明了方向。

As part of the academic activities for our Secondary department, this visit not only allowed students to immerse themselves in the educational environment of a leading university, but also intensified their eagerness for future university life, inspiring them to strive for excellence. Through direct engagement, the students encountered the diversity and challenges inherent in university life, undoubtedly laying a robust foundation for their future decisions and career planning.

作为中学部的升学活动之一，学生们从本次的探访中不仅得以体验前沿大学的教育氛围，还增加了对未来大学生活的向往，激励他们奋发向上。这次活动不仅是一次知识的探索，更是一次心灵的触动。学生们通过亲身体验，感受到了大学生活的多样性和挑战性，这无疑为他们的未来选择和职业规划打下了坚实的基础。
