In a humorous tone, teacher Paul told the story of the American destroyer William D. Potter vividly and interspersed with key lessons brought by the story.

威廉·D·波特是美国海军于二战时期建造的驱逐舰，在历史上曾屡次闹出笑话，比如刚出海锚就被旁边的军舰绊住，有一次甚至“误向美国总统开炮”。

USS William D. Porter (DD-579) was a destroyer built by the US Navy during World War II and has made a fool of itself many times throughout its history, such as tripping over a nearby warship just as it was leaving its anchor at sea, and once it even "accidentally launched a torpedo at the battleship that was carrying the President of the United States".

但在后面的战役中，这艘驱逐舰“屡立战功”，在一次海战中结束了自己“传奇”的一生。

But in the following battles, the destroyer "achieved many military successes" and ended its "legendary" life in a naval battle.

以电影《少年的你》开篇，来自A Level 12年级的两位主持人（Maria、Harry）点出本期分享主题：校园霸凌。这是第一部得到社会广泛关注、严肃探讨校园霸凌的国产电影，折射了在校园里滋生的黑暗暴力。

Starting with the movie "Better Days", the two hosts (Maria and Harry) from A Level G12 pointed out their sharing theme of the presentation: campus bullying. The Chinese movie was the first to discuss the topic campus bullying, a topic that reflects the dark violence happening on campus and thus received widespread attention.

校园霸凌的可怕在主持人播放的电影片段中直观展现，影像画面带来的冲击直击人心，让人心痛愤怒的同时忍不住思索：如此残忍的霸凌行为为何在校园中发生，如何才能得到解决。两位主持人以自己的思考表达了对这两个问题的看法。

The horror of campus bullying, captured in the movie clips played by the hosts, was like a blunt blow to our hearts. While heartbreaking and outrageous, we can not help thinking: why does such cruel bullying happen in schools, and how it can be addressed. The two hosts shared their views and thoughts on these two issues.

从电影出发，两位同学从霸凌者、被霸凌者、旁观者三者的角度分析了霸凌发生的原因。对于电影中的霸凌者魏莱来说，也许是家庭教育的扭曲造成了她安全感和自我价值感的缺失，从而通过对他人施加不良行为使自己得到病态的控制感和安全感。

Starting from the movie, they analyzed the reasons for bullying from the perspectives of the bullies, the bullied, and bystanders. For the bully Wei Lai in the movie, the distorted family education led to her lack of security and self-worth; as a result, she imposes bullying acts on others to gain a morbid sense of control and security.

而对于被霸凌者而言，反抗是困难的，因为往往招来施暴者更加凶狠的攻击。至于变成加害者的旁观者，则因为“如果我不参与，下一个被欺负的就会是我。”

For the bullied, resistance is difficult because it often invites more vicious attacks from the abuser. As for the bystander who becomes the perpetrator, it is because "if I don't participate, the next person to be bullied will be me."

分享最后，两位同学说到了针对校园霸凌问题一些可能的解决方案，比如被霸凌者应当勇敢说不，不要被动接受不愿意去做的事；对霸凌者进行心理辅导和家庭沟通，情形严重者交给法律处理。

At the end of the sharing, the two students talked about some possible solutions to the problem of school bullying. For example, the bullied should be brave to say no and not passively accept what they don’t want to do, and the bullies could be provided with psychological counseling and family communication with serious cases referred to the law.

的确，校园霸凌和唐山打人事件中的社会暴力都是犯罪行为。暴行应当受到法律的严厉制裁。正如两位同学所呼吁的，“不是所有的陈念都有一个小北”，“请重视校园霸凌”；请坚决打击制止一切暴力行为。法治归位，才能惩奸除恶。

Indeed, school bullying and the violence in the women’s assault case in Tangshan are both criminal acts. And atrocities should be severely punished by the law. As the two students appealed: "Not every victim has a protector"; "School bullying should be taken seriously"; all violence acts should be firmly combated and stopped. Only when the rule of law takes full effect can it be possible to eliminate all evil and criminal acts.
