SAIS students were privileged to present the sum of over RMB 75,000 to Shenzhen Children's Hospital. This was money raised by SAIS students and parents from the Terry Fox run held at the end of November We were also honored to have Heartland International Montessori School joined us this year.
SAIS学生有幸向深圳市儿童医院捐赠了超过75,000元人民币，这是 SAIS 学生和家长从 11 月底举办的泰瑞福克斯义跑步活动中筹集的资金。我们也很荣幸今年有 心田儿童之家共同加入我们的活动。
On Dec 14th, 2021, 5 students representing all SAIS students, Miss Kay who organised the terry Fox event for the school and one parent, with two children representing Heartland International Montessori School travelled to Shenzhen Children's Hospital to present the money raised by the schools from the 7th Terry Fox Run. The final amount was RMB 75,300 - wonderful great achievement which broke our previous money raising record! Congratulations - we are grateful to all who helped raise this money for such an important cause.
2021 年 12 月 14 日，代表所有 SAIS 学生的 5 名学生，和为学校组织了义跑活动的 Kay 老师和一位家长代表，以及代表心田儿童之家的两个孩子前往深圳市儿童医院，向深圳儿童医院捐赠了学校筹集的资金。 本次第七届义跑活动的最终金额为75,300元，打破了我们之前的筹款记录！恭喜 - 我们感谢所有为如此重要的事业筹集这笔资金的人！

The charity run was named after Terry Fox, an optimistic young man from Canada. At 18 he was diagnosed with cancer and was forced to have his right leg amputated. He then decided to raise money for cancer by running through Canada. Since 1981, the Terry Fox Run has been held in more than 60 countries around the world and millions of people have joined this great cause in raising money for cancer patients wherever they live. It is now the world's largest charity run to raise funds for helping cancer patients and for cancer research.

Every SAIS student was deeply influenced by this generous spirit, and each were eager to show their personal contribution in supporting their sick peers in order to help them have a happy and healthy life. Visiting the hospital made them understand that their fun even also had a serious and life-changing consequence as the money raised will help so many children receive the treatment they need.
