In order to promote the efficient development of classrooms at Huamei Foreign Language School, enhance the overall quality of students' English learning, and strengthen the comprehensive abilities of English teachers, on the afternoon of December 19, 2023, Huamei Foreign Language School hosted the Luohu District Junior High School English Subject Teaching and Research Activity based on the "Double New" background, as well as the special school teaching and research activity for newly recruited teachers from the private school sector for the years 2019-2023.

In the showcase of high-quality teaching lessons, Chen Jinhong, a teacher from Shenzhen Guiyuan Middle School, was invited to present an open English reading class with the theme "English Week" for eighth graders. Mr. Chen chose a topic closely related to Guiyuan Middle School's English Week activities and the ongoing English Cultural Festival at Huamei School. He vividly introduced the teaching theme - "English Week" - and, through an original rap, effectively and rhythmically sparked student interest in the classroom, expanding students' thinking on topics. In the teaching segment, Mr. Chen innovatively introduced the role of artificial intelligence (AI), actively engaging in real-time interaction with students. This not only effectively guided student learning and enriched the classroom scene but also broadened students' perspectives, fully embodying the characteristics of a digital and informational classroom. Throughout the process, students actively participated, teacher-student interaction was harmonious and loving, group cooperation was orderly, and student discussions were enthusiastic, demonstrating a positive atmosphere.

After the demonstration lesson, Mr. Chen shared his teaching design ideas, and Vice Principal Liu Yunyan of Guiyuan Middle School, English subject teachers and other colleagues present shared their observations.

Luohu District Junior High School English Researcher Ms. Yu Zhixiao provided comments and summarized the high-quality demonstration lesson. Ms. Yu fully affirmed Mr. Chen's clear teaching design logic, well-defined objectives, innovative classroom methods, and the demonstration of digital and informational classroom features required by the new curriculum standards.

In the second part, the specialized activity for the preparation of the 2024 private school junior high school English subject final exam, Researcher Ms. Yu Zhixiao gained a comprehensive understanding of the teaching progress and current situation of ninth-grade classes in private schools. She provided effective guidance on methods and strategies for the 2024 private school final exams and expressed expectations and encouragement for the private school final exams.
