未来已来 I 武汉爱莎2022首场开放日回顾
From 28th to 29th of May, ISA Wuhan 2022 Open Day was held in front of an eagerly awaited group of parents, students, and members of the community. Guests got to know more about our ISA school spirit.
5月28至29日，武汉爱莎2022首届校园开放日在家长、学生和社会各界人士的翘首企盼中，盛情展露IB校园风姿。
The open day welcomed nearly 2,000 students and parents from all over the world to visit the school. Amidst the laughter of surprise and praise, students and parents visited the school's international standard gymnasium, 1,000-seater auditorium, school building, dining hall, boarding houses, real grass football pitch and rugby field.
本次开放日迎来了近2000名中外籍学生及家长的访校，在充满惊喜和赞许的片片欢声笑语中，学生和家长们依次参观了学校国际赛事级标准的体育馆、千人剧院、教学楼、餐厅、学生公寓、真草足球场、橄榄球场等校园设施。

Each classroom has glass walls to facilitate the display of results and the recording of learning, and the higher area and height of the floor allows teachers and students the freedom to decorate the entire space.
With a large teacher-student ratio of 1:4, the classroom becomes a place where students feel safe, motivated and energised, and where they are happy to spend time together.

武汉爱莎餐厅可容纳约500人同时就餐。餐厅提供少盐低油的中餐、西餐、面点、糕点等，应有尽有，同时考虑不同民族习惯设置特色餐饮，满足世界各国学生的用餐需求。

The canteen can accommodate approximately 500 people at the same time.
It offers a wide range of Chinese, Western, pasta and pastry dishes with low salt and oil content, as well as speciality meals to meet the needs of students from all over the world, taking into account the customs of different nationalities.

In the STEAM lesson, ISA Wuhan science teacher, Ms. Wen Ting, led the children through life situations to understand the equipment and functions, through investigation and reflection, group work and discussion, and presentation of their work.
Each group used their science, technology, engineering, art and maths skills to investigate the principles of refrigeration and collaboratively assembled and built a mini fridge that cooled down to over 10 degrees!

There are many cultures in the world, and the cultural presence of people is necessarily a special one. This lesson uses the Chinese traditional Spring Festival as an entry point, leading students to 'self-identify' with the food and customs of the festival, express the traditional cultural identity of China and discuss their favourite festival.
Students are then guided to explore the traditional cultural symbols and ways of celebrating in different countries and regions, expressing the diversity of global society and cultural differences.

The fun reading session at the open day was based on the science of reading and allowed the children to learn to read by learning natural spelling. The lesson used songs to engage the pupils' attention and in the independent work div the children showed their inquisitiveness and creativity by not just sticking words together but also by trying to colour the word monsters after completing the word categories.
