September 17th, Mr. Kan Huang, Grade 1 Inspector of the Beijing Education Committee visited the BIBS Shunyi Campus, and carried out inspection on the COVID-19 prevention arrangements in the new semester, and gave his constructive advices on the BIBS bilingual education concepts. BIEG Founder and Chairperson Ms. Kathy Shi hosted Inspector Huang’s visit to the school.

Mr. Si Liu, Deputy Director of the International Division of Beijing Education Committee, Mr. Changbao Feng, Director of the Non-government Funded Education Division of Shunyi District Education Committee, and the Vice President of BIEG Mr. Qiang Shi, Director of Business Development Ms. Xin Li, Director of Operations Xiaoqi Zheng, BIBS Shunyi Campus Head of Schools John D’Arcy and BIBS Shunyi Campus Chinese Principal Ming Gong joined the visit.

Visitors inspected the campus and listened to detailed report on every step of the COVID-19 prevention arrangements of the school, and highly praised BIBS’ school return, disinfection, garbage sorting and stock inventory. Inspector Huang stressed that all departments involved must pay extra attention to details and make sure every requirement is fulfilled. A perfect Lesson One must be conducted to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of all teachers and students.

Ms. Kathy Shi introduced the concept of Beanstalk International Bilingual school. While visiting, visitors had a good conversation with PTA volunteers at the Cafeteria. The BIBS Cafeterias are operated by PTA volunteers, which has over the years become the best presentation of family-school cooperation. When parents serve teachers a cup of freshly brewed coffee, when the incomes become books and supplies back to school, when teachers and parents can have an open conversation, with the joint efforts of family and school, Love, Care and Support protect the learning environment for all students.
