DIY迷你书·DIY Booklets

金盏校区的中学生在ICT课程上用学到的电子书制作相关知识，为自己最喜欢的书编写了7页迷你阅读手册，用精美的排版和精彩的内容提炼，吸引别人一起加入到阅读中来：

Students made a digital booklet to introduce their favorite book to others, using what they learnt on ICT class. It's a great opportunity for them to review the book contents and learn digital design and English writing.

逛书市·Book Fair

金盏校区还邀请书商“Share Kids Books”入驻学校，在多功能厅开办了为期3天的书市。在课下时间，学生可以来多功能厅挑选图书并自行购买。与此同时，赫德学生会也联系到欠发达地区的一所学校，组织各学院向该校捐赠图书。

The school invited Share Kids Books (a book company providing book exchange, book fair and book purchase) to the school for a three day book fair, during which students can freely choose and purchase their favorite books. HDBJ Secondary Student Union ran a book drive. Student representatives established contact with a school in need of resources and encouraged HD students to donate their gently used books to help the school and their students.

阅读马拉松·Read-a-thon

在东坝校区，孩子们受邀参与赫德举办的“read-a-thon”阅读马拉松竞赛，谁能在一周时间内读最多页数的英文原版书，谁就是阅读马拉松的赢家！这激发了孩子们的超高阅读热情，每天回到家的第一件事就是阅读！早晨一来学校，他们就会兴奋地跟老师分享阅读进度，还互相检查同学的进展。阅读马拉松还为赫德家庭创造了很多亲子共读的美好时刻：

During Literacy Week, all children were invited to take part in HD's read-a-thon challenge. Their task was to read as many pages of an English book as possible. The students took part in the challenge with great enthusiasm, and they arrived at school excitedly each morning, ready to show their reading records to the teachers. It was wonderful to see their increased passion for reading and how well they commended each other on their efforts.

互读·Buddy Reading

孩子们还参与了打破年级共同阅读的“互读”活动，高年级同学会进到低年级的教室，与学弟学妹们一起度过读书时光。这让孩子们因读书而结识了更多的朋友，也让高年级的孩子得以展现自己，发挥读书的榜样力量。低年级的孩子也在伴读中被感染和带动，收获更多读书的快乐！

The children participated in a buddy reading event, in which upper school students came to lower school classrooms and read with their book buddies. Students were able to spend time together in celebration of reading. The students enjoyed the opportunity to interact with students from other grade levels. The upper school students were able to showcase their expressiveness while reading and act as role models for the lower school students. The lower school students were able to see how exciting and engaging reading can be, especially when shared with others.

图书互换·Book Swap

读书周期间举办的“图书互换”也是一次巨大的成功！这是最让大家期待的环节，每个人可以捐出自己不再需要的书（上限为5本），当他们的书被别人换走时，他们就可以得到1个书币，1个书币可以从其他同学手中换回自己喜欢的1本书！成功将自己看过的书推荐给同学时，他们别提有多自豪啦！

The book swap held at HD Beijing was an absolute success. It was an exciting event that everyone looks forward to throughout Literacy Week. The students donated up to five books each and were able to exchange them for books given by other students. The books that were supplied spanned many different genres and categories. The success hinged on student involvement and participation.

教室门装饰大赛·Door Decoration

为了给读书周增添更多的氛围感，赫德还举办了精彩纷呈的教师门装饰活动，每个班级都以一本书为主题进行创意装饰，由师生共同完成。教室门被装点成书中的情节，孩子们觉得推开门就如同走进了书中的世界！还有由老师和5年级同学组成的评委团，投票公议推选出每个年级的最佳装饰奖——KC,1E,2A,3A,4C,5B：

As part of Literacy Week, we had a Door Decorating Competition.  Each class chose a book to focus on and creatively decorated their doors around that theme. The children had great fun helping with the door displays and the quality was outstanding.  Some children from Grade 5 were the judges along with Ms Julie and Ms CJ.  Congratulations to our winners: 5B, 4C, 3A, 2A, 1E and KC.

书籍巡演·Book Parade

巡演可谓是读书周最热闹的盛事！师生可以自由装扮成他们最喜欢的书中角色进行欢乐游行，当每个人穿上costume盛装出席的时刻，大家纷纷互猜同学们扮演的是哪本书中的什么角色，也激发自己带着好奇心去阅读更多的书！
