2022年秋季学年,达罗捷派牵手北京BISS国际学校,基于双方教育理念高度一致以及优势互补,将安贞校区进行全面升级。2023年开始双方计划将更优质的全球教学资源、更全面的拓展交流合作项目、更个性化的学生未来发展规划提供给具有多元文化背景的学生,力图培养出更加具有全球化视野的未来人才。

北京BISS国际学校(Beijing BISS International School,以下简称“BISS”)创建于1994年,是教育部和北京市教委批准的首批在京外籍人员子女学校。学校位于北京中轴线东侧安贞门城墙遗址,紧邻2022年冬奥村,与各大国际组织、各国驻华使馆、各省驻京办近在咫尺。BISS曾有来自55个不同国家的学生和老师在此生活学习,被附近社区的居民们誉为“安贞小联合国”。

若您要更改评估日期,请在评估日前3个工作日以电子邮件的方式通知我校招生办公室。逾期我校将不接收您的任何更改。每位学生只有一次更改评估时间的机会。


  1. 学生学术笔试 


达罗捷派作为一所学科课程全英文授课的学校,英语作为沟通媒介,听说读写能力是对学生的基础要求。学术笔试时长为120分钟,主要包含文书写作、英语阅读、数学(均为英文试题)。以下是入学测试具体说明。

数学 Math:
JPED 数学入学考试是针对初中及高中水平的学生设计的,该测试基于代数和初级微积分的数学知识应用能力进行考察。 总共有 20 个问题需要在 45 分钟内完成。每题 5 分,第 1-5 题为基于代数 I 的题;问题 5-15 是基于代数 II,问题 16-20 是基于高中初级微积分的题。

英语 English:
JPED 英语入学考试是针对初中及高中水平的学生设计的,该测试将对学生的读,写能力进行考察 。总共分为论文写作(主题二选一),语法语句选择题,中长篇阅读(300词),长篇阅读(500词)几大部分。


*托福成绩符合对应年级要求可免笔试


  1. 学生面试


为了更全面地了解每一位申请者,我们要求每一个申请者与学校老师进行1v1面试。申请者需要在面试中与老师积极交流,回答问题。

考察点

兴趣爱好、学科课程、成就与失败、领导和策划的项目或者活动等话题;

评分维度

语言能力、英语听力、英语口语、沟通能力、创造力、批判性思维、知识技能、领导力和责任感、解决问题的能力、好奇心;

6.家长面试/文书考察内容说明

为了更全面地了解申请者的家长是否与学校在教育理念相符,我们要求每一个申请者与学校老师进行1v1面试或以文书的形式进行概念阐述,便于校方能够更好的了解学生的生长环境,实施更加有针对性的教学。

*参加我校2023年度无论任何形式的评估,均只有一次重考机会;


*具体评估时间和安排,招生办公室将在评估前一周通过邮件发送至确认邮箱,请随时关注报名时填写的确认邮箱;


*请参与评估的学生携带报考确认函提前到达学校登记,考试开始15分钟后将不接受学生进场;


*评估后一周内,我校招生办公室将邮件发送到评估结果到报名邮箱。



7.入学通知


1)发放申请结果


您会在入学测试后的3-7个工作日内得到学校的申请结果。


2)学位保证金缴纳


在收到录取通知书后,请您在三个工作日内缴纳3万元学位保证金,以锁定2023学年度学位。逾期未交将视作放弃学位。


3)开学前的准备


根据录取通知书准备入学相关资料及缴纳学费;

1.达罗捷派学院所采用的的课程体系和教学方法是什么?

  3.什么是项目式学习?

项目式学习(Project Based Learning,简称PBL)作为内容丰富的跨学科学习方式,通过发展适宜性的实验和探索来帮助学生建立理解和解决现实世界问题的框架。从提出一个有意义的问题开始,学生通过多步骤的过程解决问题。项目要求学生合理运用多种学习技能,包含阅读、写作、数学和研究、逻辑推理以及其他21世纪人才需要的核心能力。项目式学习推崇团队协作,鼓励学生创造创新。

在达罗捷派,升学指导课程覆盖全校学生的日常课程安排中,根据升学压力逐年级增加课程安排的时长及指导。从9年级开始,升学指导为每位学生安排单独一对一的沟通时间,树立高中各阶段的学习目标;10年级开始,安排每个家庭单独一对一的升学指导,邀请家长参与学生的升学规划;11年级开始,为学生提供定制化的标化提升指导;12年级开始,为每位学生进行大学申请系统提交指导及文书一对一撰写辅导及修改。

  6.达罗捷派接受插班生吗?有年级限制吗?春季入学学费如何计算呢?

达罗捷派学院按照美国学制分春季和秋季两次入学,分别是每年3月和9月。春秋两季入学均可申请。春季入学的费用按照占全年学时的比例收取。

  7.达罗捷派的GPA是怎么计算的?学术课程有排名吗? 

达罗捷派学院的GPA并不止计算学生的期中或期末考试成绩,而是将学生每一天的学习习惯、学习态度、学习表现等都纳入到评价体系当中,进行个性化且全方位的评定。比如考勤、课堂表现、团队合作、项目成果、作业完成情况、测验成绩、考试成绩等都会计入期末的GPA当中,以促使学生每一天都专注于学业提升,并将所学到的知识和技能在大脑中长期储存。

  8.学生现在就读于公立学校,入学达罗捷派英语会不会跟不上呢?  

我们在笔试和面试的时候会考察学生的英语能力,但是录取考量的是学生的综合实力,不会仅凭英语能力决定是否给予录取。如果获得录取,则说明我们认为该学生英语能力合格,或者可以通过入学前的准备和入学后一段时间的适应即可融入新的学习环境。从任何非全英文教学的学校转学过来的学生,都会经历一个适应和过渡的阶段,全英文的课堂学习是帮助学生提升英语的最佳环境。

  9.美高小留学生因疫情原因回国,是否可以招收?招生政策如何?  

达罗捷派学院所采用的Common Core State Standards(CCSS)美国教育规划共同核心标准课程体系,可与其他美国本土高中课程无缝连接,学分可以直接兑换。课程设置无论是从课程难度、教学模式设置均与美国本土私立中学相近,回国小留学生无需适应,可正常入读。

达罗捷派所有外教均来自英语为母语的国家,均毕业于优质大学且均有国外或国内的任教经验每一位教师的加入,都会经历达罗捷派学院人力专员-人力总监-执行校长的三次面试,符合达罗捷派学院对于教师的选拔规则后由创始校长敬沛亲自终面的形式招聘录用。我们的外籍教师团队非常稳定,大家都能在达罗捷派这个集体里找到自己的价值和归属感,与学生和学校一起成长。

12.外教老师跟孩子是否能亲密互动? 

达罗捷派学院的外教老师不仅是学生们的任课老师,还是项目导师以及成长导师,从学习和生活各方面去陪伴学生们的成长。

达罗捷派的创始人、外方校长、执行校长都会亲自参与教学活动,分别担任选修课和必修课的授课老师,以及作为导师给予学生一对一的指导。并亲身参与所有校园活动、学生社团,传递教育理念,与学生一起共同成长。 

14.达罗捷派采用的IB课程还是AP课程么?上课用的教材是什么呢?

达罗捷派学院采用个性化教学和因材施教的教育方式,因此不采用第三方提供的标准化教学教材,教师课堂所用教材均以Common Core State Standards(CCSS)美国教育规划共同核心标准课程体系为基础,自主研发的教学内容。

Common Core State Standard(CCSS)共同核心国家标准, 是美国K-12(学前班到高中毕业的12年级)的统一教学标准,是美国国家课程标准。目前美国 46 州,占全国 80%的学龄儿童,都实施该课程标准。

美国高考SAT考试是根据CCSS课程标准来进行设计的。

15.达罗捷派有哪些课外活动的设置?  

达罗捷派的课外活动非常丰富,主要分为三类:义工活动、体育活动、社团活动

1)义工活动:

泰康燕园之家社区服务,为养老院中的老人提供电子设备教学以及与老人下围棋、弹奏钢琴、学习绘画等;鹏鹰学校英语教学,为鹏鹰学校的学弟学妹们提供英语教授课程;昌平政府收容所义工活动,为需要资助的人士通过手工制作进行义卖筹款;“有爱相伴,共同成长”周边幼儿园服务项目,帮助幼儿园维护校园设施,与小朋友做游戏等。

2)体育活动:

作为一所美式中学,我们非常重视体育活动,因为体育活动可以培养学生的团队精神、体育精神、忍耐力和毅力等。每天都安排一个半小时的体育课,在专业的场地和专业教练带领下开展篮球、足球、排球、网球、棒球、羽毛球、高尔夫球、轮滑、瑜伽等运动。同时根据季节的不同和学生自身发展需要,每周还会安排一项专项体育特长的培养,例如滑雪、马术、游泳、散打,也由专业的教练进行一对一指导。学校还有设备齐全的专业健身房,供学生在闲暇时间锻炼身体。

3)社团活动:

学校的所有社团都由学生自发成立,学校和老师给予支持和指导,目前学校拥有音乐社团、舞蹈社团、创意社团、厨艺社团、摄影社团、无人机社团、艺术社团、读书社团,学生们在每周的社团活动时间可以和志同道合的伙伴一起尽情的发挥自己的特长。 

16.校方如何跟家长保持沟通和联系?

达罗捷派设有家长课堂,由专业心理学专家、家庭导师教授家长如何与学生积极有效的沟通,引导家长与学生共同成长,建立良好的家校氛围心理专家还为学生们开设了心理选修课,带领学生们揭开最贴近生活的心理学的全貌。同时,心理专家也在校园内为学生们提供随时随地的心理咨询服务,帮助学生疏导心理压力以及在青春期遇到的烦恼。

18.如何保证校园安全和餐饮安全? 

达罗捷派为寄宿/走读学校,每日三餐两点均采取自助方式,餐饮供应商为学生项目中选择的优质有机餐厅,且教职员工与学生一起在餐厅用餐。学生在学习日期间,没有特殊情况不准许单独外出或点外卖。达罗捷派聘请了专业厨师为学校提供配餐,不论资质或是菜品质量,均经过严格的审查,并定期回访学生及外教老师的反馈情况,做出及时的调整。 

  19.学校对家长有要求吗? 

我们会在与家长以文书/面试的形式进行沟通,从而了解家庭的价值观,以及家长的教育理念是否跟学校匹配,确保学校提供的环境能适合学生的成长以及实现家庭对孩子的教育规划及人生规划。

  20.就目前的疫情发展趋势及中美关系,达罗捷派毕业生是否可以申请除了美国之外的大学? 

可以。达罗捷派所培养的毕业生不论是英语能力、学科能力或者实践能力都可以满足不同国家不同大学的录取要求。学生毕业后可申请任何英语为母校的国家,同时,也可以申请任何英语非母语国家,但为英语授课项目的大学。

  21.达罗捷派毕业生在申请大学的时候有什么优势?

首先,达罗捷派采取学科课程全英文教学,配备了优质的教学团队,学生在英语的听说读写能力,以及美式课堂的适应能力上很有优势,能轻松应对托福、雅思、SAT等标准化考试。

达罗捷派的暑期项目均为学生发起,由师生共同策划。因此是符合校内学生成长需求的个性化定制项目,向在校生和已录取新生开放。如有个别有入学意向的同学感兴趣,可以跟校方沟通,可以有少量名额开放给符合条件的同学。

  23.达罗捷派对于学生的电子设备管理的具体规定是什么呢?

达罗捷派所培养的是未来世界公民,电子设备与学生未来的大学生活、职场就业密不可分,良好的电子设备使用能力及自我管理能力的培养对于学生来说是非常重要的;学生在校期间不能使用手机,根据教学需要可使用笔记本电脑、iPad等学习必备的电子设备。
 
24.达罗捷派是否有奖学金政策?

4. Student Academic Written Exam

As a school where all subject courses are taught in English, English is used as a channel of communication, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are the basic requirements for students. The academic written test is 120 minutes long and mainly includes essay writing, English reading, and mathematics (all in English). The following are specific instructions for the entrance test.

Math:

The placement test of JPED is designed for high school prep and high school students, according to their individual math solving ability based on algebra and precalculus study.  There are 20 questions in total, within 45 minutes to complete the exam. Each question is awarded five marks. The first five questions are based on Algebra I, question 5-15 on Algebra II, and the last five problems on Precalculus.

English:

The English placement test of JPED is designed for high school prep and high school students. The test will examine students' reading and writing abilities. It is divided into essay writing, with a choice between two topics, a grammar and syntax multiple-choice div, a medium-length reading (300 words), and finally a long reading (500 words).


*TOEFL scores that meet the requirements of the corresponding grade can be exempted from the written test.


5. Student interview

In order to have a more complete understanding of each applicant, we require each applicant to have a one-on-one interview with a school teacher. Applicants should actively communicate with teachers and answer questions during the interview.

Topics such as hobbies, subjects, achievements and failures, and projects or activities led and planned may be covered.

6.Parents’ Assessment

In order to understand more comprehensively whether the parents of applicants are consistent with the educational philosophy of the school, we require each applicant to have a one-on-one interview with the school teachers or explain an educational concept or philosophy in written form, so that the school can better understand the growth environment of students and implement more targeted teaching.

*You will only have one chance to retake any form of assessment for the 2023 academic year.

*The specific assessment time and arrangements will be sent to the confirmed email one week before the assessment. Please monitor your email for the notice of confirmation.

*Students participating in the assessment should arrive early to the campus and bring with them the confirmation letter for registration. Students arriving more than fifteen minutes after the start of the test will not be allowed entry.

*Within one week after the evaluation, the School Admissions Office will send the evaluation results to the registered email address.

1. What is the curriculum system and teaching methods adopted by JPED Academy?

JPED adopts the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), and offers core courses in several categories such as STEM courses, humanities courses, art courses, Chinese courses and Physical courses, combined with scientific learning curve theory , to build an China-US combined education system, lay a solid foundation for students' general studies, and cultivate students' life-long learning concepts and abilities. Project Based Learning (PBL), as a content-rich interdisciplinary learning approach, helps students build a framework for understanding and solving real-world problems through developmentally appropriate experimentation and exploration. 5. How is JPED's further education plan arranged? How does it help students with their college applications?

In JPED, the admission guidance course covers the daily curriculum arrangement of all students, and the duration and guidance of the course arrangement are increased grade by grade according to the pressure of admission. Starting from grade 9, the college guidance will arrange individual one-to-one communication time for each student to establish learning goals for each stage of high school; starting from grade 10, college guidance will arranges individual one-to-one guidance for each family, and invites parents to participate in the student's further education planning; starting from grade 11, college guidance will provide students with customized standardized improvement guidance; starting from grade 12, college will provide guidance for each student in the use of the university application system, one-to-one writing guidance and revision for each student.

6. Does JPED accept transfer students? Is there a grade limit? How is the tuition fee for spring admission calculated?

According to the American academic system, JPED Academy is divided into two admissions in spring and fallwhish is in March and September seperately each year. Both spring and fall admissions are open to apply. The fee for spring admission is charged as a percentage of the whole year's semester hours.


7. How is GPA calculated in JPED? Are academic subjects ranked?

The GPA of JPED Academy does not only calculate students' mid-term or final exam scores, but incorporates students' daily study habits, learning attitudes, and learning performance into the evaluation system for personalized and comprehensive evaluation. For example, attendance, classroom performance, teamwork, project results, homework completion, test scores, test scores are all included in the final GPA, so that students can make academic improvement every day and apply the knowledge and skills they have learned storage in the brain as long-term memory.


8. The students are currently studying in public schools, will they be unable to keep up with the English level if they transferd to JPED?

We will examine the English ability of students through the written test and interview, but the admission is based on the comprehensive strength of the students, and will not decide whether to grant admission only based on English ability. 9.American high school students returning to China due to the epidemic, can they be recruited? What is the admissions policy?

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) curriculum system adopted by JPED Academy can be seamlessly connected with other American high school courses, and credits can be directly exchanged. The curriculum is similar to that of American private high schools in terms of curriculum difficulty and teaching mode. Students return from abroad do not need to adapt and can enroll normally.


10. What is the level of teachers at JPED Academy?

All foreign teachers of JPED Academy are from English-speaking countries, graduated from high-quality universities and have teaching experience abroad or in China. Every teacher who joins JPED will go through three interviews from the Human Resources Commissioner - Human Resources Director - Executive Principal. The teacher who meet the selection rules will be interviewed by the founding principal Jing Pei. Common Core State Standard (CCSS) is the unified teaching standard for K-12 (from kindergarden to 12th grade of high school) in the United States. It is the national curriculum standard in the United States. Accounting for 80% of the country's school-age children in the United States implement this curriculum standards at present.
The US college entrance examination SAT is designed according to the CCSS curriculum standards.
15. What extracurricular activities does JPED have?
JPED has vast rich extracurricular activities,  which are mainly divided into three categories: volunteer activities, sports activities, and clubs.
1) Volunteer activities: Taikangyanyuan Nursing Home community service: providing electronic equipment teaching for the elderly in the nursing home, playing Go and piano, learning painting with them. Pengying School English teaching: teaching English for the students in Pengying School; volunteer activities at the Changping government shelter: raise money through charity sales of handmade crafts for those in need; "Grow with love and grow together" surrounding kindergarten service projects, help kindergartens maintain campus facilities and play games with children.
2) Physical activity: As an American-style middle school, we attach great importance to physical activity, because physical activity can cultivate student spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, endurance and perseverance.
