May 18th is "International Museum Day". Located in Anren, a town which is famous for museums, Cogdel School Chengdu shared the unique and precious resources of the museums. Today, P1-P5 graders of Cogdel School Chengdu visited hundred-year-old architectural communities, namely Yang Menggao Mansion, Liu Yuanhu Mansion, Liu Yuanxuan Mansion, and Chen Yuesheng Mansion.

Through the teacher's explanation, the children learned that there are a total of 63 museums in Anren Ancient Town, including the four ancient mansions visited today.As highlighted in the ICOM Resolution, all museums have a role to play in shaping and creating sustainable futures, and they can do this through educational programs, exhibitions, community outreach and research. In Anren, the historic community, our students can enjoy rich museum resources anytime and anywhere, and immerse in history and culture.

博物馆课程作为我校特色课程之一，将博物馆与教育相结合。每一座博物馆都承载着一段历史，是文明进步的缩影，博物馆课程为孩子们提供一个直观、立体的学习环境，从而激发他们的好奇心和探索欲，博闻强识，通古识今，对比历史，启发思考。同时，成体系的博物馆课程为小学的PYP超学科探究项目提供了支撑。

As one of our featured courses, the museum course combines museums with education. Every museum carries a history and is a symbol of civilization and progress. Museum courses provide children with a fun and vivid learning environment, stimulating their curiosity and exploration, gaining knowledge and understanding, comparing history with the present, and inspiring thinking. At the same time, the systematic museum curriculum provides support for PYP transdisciplinary inquiry projects.

今年3月，我们结合本学期第一单元的PYP探究主题，组织学生“与古蜀文明艺术对话”探访三星堆博物馆，并且邀请了相关领域的专业人士为孩子们进行了讲解，不仅增长了见识，还对考古学，金器工艺等方面进行了深入的探讨和研究，孩子们在整个过程当中收获颇丰。

In March of this year, in combination with the first unit of the PYP program this semester, we organized students to visit the Sanxingdui Museum with the theme of "Connecting with the Civilization and Art of Ancient Shu". We also invited professionals from relevant fields to lecture, which not only increased students' knowledge range but also conducted in-depth discussions and research on archaeology, and metalworking techniques. The students gained a lot throughout the entire process.

On May 18th, the Day of International Museum, we actively respond to the call of the International Council of Museums and encourage all members of civil society to step into museums, and realize the full transformative potential that museums have for sustainable development and well-being!
