The Reading Program has started and children have to get started to borrow books in the library class at the end of October.

This Reading Program aims to let parents read with children at home. And after finishing reading books, parents may help children to fill in the Reading Record, as shown in the below picture.

Children borrow and return books in Library Class every week. Parents, please return the books on time for a smooth process.

在10月底，阅读计划正式开启，小朋友在阅读课上第一次尝试了借阅图书。

此活动旨在家长与小朋友通过亲子阅读，增进亲子关系的同时，培养小朋友良好的阅读习惯。我们鼓励家长与孩子完成阅读后，在每月的“阅读记录”上记录相关的内容，如下图所示。

在此后每周的阅读课中都可以借还图书，请家长按照小朋友班级借书的时间按时归还图书，以便孩子每周都能够选择新的图书带回家。

Besides, the 21 Days Good Habit started in November. Cultivating daily reading is a good habit. It’s a long-term process and is done everywhere and every time. 

The Good Habits campaign in November is about “Good Manners”.  Parents may review the whole-day activity with their child at home and discuss whether they practise good manners or otherwise.

天启幼儿园尊重孩子的天性，因我们相信天性是生而有之，是作为人的独立及独特部份。教养及良好的习惯则不同，必须透过学习，我们认为很多一生受用的良好习惯需要在学前阶段重点培养。

好习惯的培养是长期累积的，需要学校及家庭协作；不单是只在上学的时间里进行，学校以外的时间也应如此。因此，从11月开始，21天好习惯也同时启动。

For example, using polite words such as “Please” and “Thank you”, proactively saying hello to teachers, classmates or adults and etcetera, on daily basis.  If they feel the challenge to adopt good habits then the parents may encourage them by marking down a “tick” in the column daily.

We hope children can keep good habits along with their lifelong learning.

11月的好习惯是“有礼貌”，家长可以在家中与小朋友回顾一天发生的事情，与小朋友讨论今天是否有做到“有礼貌”，如用到了文明用语“谢谢”、“请”，有主动跟大人或老师或同学打招呼，说“你好”、“再见”等。

若小朋友有做到，可以在方框下面打个勾。希望小朋友们可以每天都保持优良的好习惯。

The second flag-raising ceremony was held on November 1st. It’s a pity that parents cannot come in and participate in it because of the COVID situation and EDB’s restrictions.

But every child in BKIK was encouraged by K3B students’ spirit and energy. Patriotism is ingrained in everyone’s heart.

Assemblies in all schools around the globe play vital roles in student development. At BKIK, our Assemblies form portals for these young learners. The Assemblies showcase their talents, demonstrate their knowledge and allow others to gain a general understanding of what they have learned or what they know!

Above all else, Assemblies are ways which take student-initiated action and bring them past the borders of the classroom walls. Our students' performances demonstrate these either through their actions, singing or dancing.
