道阻且长，行则将至！

——致PIEP学子和家长的一封信

尊敬的家长、亲爱的同学们：

大家好！

线上教学已经持续整整一个月的时间了。这段时间以来，无论是老师、孩子们还是家长，都付出了很多努力，我们一同克服了诸多困难，走过了一段必将被载入史册的岁月。在此，学校由衷地感谢每一位师生员工和家长的付出与坚守！

道阻且长，行则将至。我们的坚守，也盼来了好消息——“防控二十条”、“防控新十条”的颁布，让我们看到了全面恢复正常生活秩序的希望；12月9日，广州市教育局发布的《关于下一阶段教育教学工作安排的通知》，让我们共同期待校园很快就能重新焕发生机。

当然，现在还不是欢呼和“躺平”的时候，在孩子们返园前，我们需要共同做好以下准备：

一、关于学业安排

1、根据12月9日广州市教育局发布的通知，自12月12日起，高二、高三年级将恢复线下教学；但幼儿园的阶段暂时未收到通知复学，也就是说，我们还需要再耐心地坚持一段时间；与此同时，我们要做好随时返回校园的准备。

2、不能返校的居家生活对于教师、学生、家长都是一种考验，但同时也是促使个人进步的契机。居家期间，PIEP的教师每日会在班群发布丰富的单元主题教学资源和“四个一”主题亲子互动：每天一起参与家庭劳动、每天一起参加运动、每晚一起亲子阅读、每周一次亲子对话，家长朋友们可以根据个人的时间安排让孩子保持学习的习惯和热情。

3、居家期间，如何把亲子时间变成有质量的陪伴呢？PIEP特邀行业内知名专家给家长朋友们从亲子关系、亲子阅读、环境创设等多维度进行干货分享！PGD家长课堂系列将与你一起陪伴孩子度过这段特殊时光。

4、由于暂停线下教学而无法进行的课程和活动，园方将会协调时间顺延，如不能顺延将依规退回相应的费用。恢复线下教学后，校内所有的教学安排将进入常态化，所有的课程安排以及校园活动将恢复正常。错过的，我们尽力弥补；还没进行的，我们会做得更好！

二、关于返园后疫情防控措施

1、如果您或您的家庭成员不幸“阳”了，不必过度担心。请首先告知班主任，遵照官方发布的指引，在家或在医疗机构安心地进行休养治疗，待完全康复后再正常返校。

2、如果您及您的家庭成员正在因为疫情而进行隔离，或近5天内有国内高风险区旅居史，或8天内有境外（含港台）旅居史，或健康码为红、黄码，或有发热等症状，请再多一些耐心，暂不返校。

3、请家长自备适量的抗原检测试剂和适当的家庭常用药物。按照以往的经验，恢复线下教学前应该会安排全员的健康筛查，以确保“阳”不入校，“病”不入班。收到指引后，学校将第一时间通知家长和同学们。

4、学校已经制定了相关的处置预案。我们有实事求是的决策者，有甘于奉献的老师，有专业过硬的员工，有配合理解的学生和家长，在我们共同的努力下，每一次的应急情况都得到了得当的处置，实践是检验方案的唯一标准，我们要相信自己！

三、关于自身健康

最近网络上流行一句话：“国家保护我们三年，接下来要靠我们自己了。”

回想这一切，恍如隔世。在新冠疫情最凶猛的初期，在一切都是未知数的时候，国家果断采取行动，我们积极履行公民义务，将损失降低到了最小。如今，奥密克戎的致病力已大幅降低，但它的传播性仍然非常的高。所以，我们仍然要做好防护。

“做好自己健康的第一责任人”是近期疾控部门在积极倡导的做法。其实，在任何时候、任何方面我们都要做好自己的第一责任人——安全、学习、兴趣爱好、时间管理、梦想都是如此。

我们在路上，我们一往无前，道阻且长，行则将至！

A letter to students and parents of PIEP

Dear students and parents,

The online classes have been going on for a whole month now. During this month, both teachers, students, and parents have put in a lot of effort, and together we have overcome many difficulties and gone through a period of time that will surely go down in history. We would like to take this chance to thank every teacher, student, staff, and parent for your dedication and perseverance.

The road ahead is long and hard. Persist, success is in the cards. The release of the latest policies and guidance for COVID-19 prevention means that the order to social and campus life will be gradually restored.

However, for now, it is not the time to cheer yet, before students return to campus, we need to do the following preparations.

About the class arrangement

According to the notice issued by the Guangzhou Education  Bureau on December 9, students of senior grades will resume school from December 12 onwards. But the kindergarten division hasn’t received the returning to school notice yet, which means we will need to be patient for a while longer. In the meantime, we should be ready to return to campus at any time.

Long-term online classes are a kind of challenge for teachers, students, and parents. But it is also an opportunity to promote personal improvement. Based on the unit inquiry topic, PIEP teachers will send various activities and parent-child interaction tasks ：participate in housework together every day, participate in sports together every day, parent-child reading together every night, and parent-child conversation once a week, parents can keep their children's learning habits and enthusiasm according to their personal schedule.

How to turn parent-child time into wonderful companionship while staying at home? PIEP specially invites well-known experts in the industry to share brilliant ideas with parents from multiple dimensions such as parent-child relationship, parent-child reading, and environment creation! PGD Parent Lecture Series will accompany you and your child through this special time.

All academic courses will be normally carried out after resumption. For activities and courses that cannot be carried out due to the suspension, the kindergarten will postpone the time based on the coordination, and if it cannot be postponed, the corresponding fees will be refunded in accordance with regulations. What we missed, we will try our best to make up for. What we haven't done yet, We will do it better.

About COVID-19 prevention after back to kindergarten

Do not panic if you got infected with omicron. Please inform your homeroom teacher in the first place and follow the official guidelines to recover at home or at a medical institution before returning to school. 

For those who (or your family members) have the following circumstances, please do not return to school:

➢under a medical quarantine

➢was in a high-risk area within the last 5 days

➢has been overseas within the last 8 days

➢health QR code turned to red or yellow

Parents should stock up on some COVID-19 rapid test kits and recommended medications. There would be a PCR test for students before returning to school. If not, students should take a rapid test at home.

We made a plan in place to deal with the COVID-19 situation. Please do not worry too much, we should count on ourselves.

Stay healthy and be responsible for yourself

There is a popular saying on the internet recently: "the government has protected us for three years, and now we're on our own."

At the beginning of the most critical phase of the COVID-19 outbreak, when everything was unknown, we actively performed our civic duty to minimize the damage. Today, the pathogenicity of Omicron has decreased, but its transmissibility is increased. Therefore, we still need to be well-protected.

"Be responsible for your own health" is an approach that has been recently promoted by the CDC. In fact, we must take responsibility at all times and in all areas to ourselves. Not only health but safety, time management, hobbies, study, and dreams.

The road is obstacle-packed and long. But we will get through if we keep going together.
