San老师给我们带来的是DSE中大家最为陌生的——通识课。他在Demo课上，带着大家头脑风暴，探讨香港政府为什么要发展新界东建设计划。听课的“学生们”纷纷从从宏观、中观、微观等多个层次剖析背后的原因。

What Mr.San brings to us is the most strange class in DSE——general education. In the demo class, he brainstormed everyone to explore why the Hong Kong Government wanted to develop the construction plan for New Territories East. The "students" who attended the lecture analyzed the reasons from the macro, meso and micro levels one after another.

其实，通识教育已是世界各大学普遍接受的国际化议题，虽然每个国家和地区的通识课课程有一定差异，但是其核心都在探讨如何在现代多元化的社会中，为受教育者提供通行于不同人群之间的知识和价值观。具体来说，DSE通识课程的目标是致力全人教育，希望达到扩展学生视野、培养独立思考能力、对自身及社会有深刻的认识、了解香港通识教育代表人物、事件等的目的。总之，通识课是一堂培养学生综合能力的课程。

Although there are some differences in general education courses in each country and region, its core is to explore how to provide educatees with knowledge and values that are common to different groups of people in a modern and pluralistic society. 接下来出场的是我们亲切可爱的外教人文老师Basil。他给我们讲解了地球板块运动对火山爆发、高山形成的影响，也普及了地球各板块之间的关系等知识。大家听得津津有味。为了加强课堂趣味性，他用板块运动视频导入，启发大家思考板块活动频繁会带来什么后果。最后他将地图板块做成拼图，让老师们拼好各个板块，大家都觉得对板块知识的印象更深刻了。

Next on the stage is our kind and lovely foreign teacher humanities teacher Basil. He explained to us the influence of the movement of the earth's plates on volcanic eruptions and the formation of high mountains, and popularized the knowledge of the relationship between the earth's plates. Everyone listened with relish. In order to make the class more interesting, he used the introduction of plate motion videos to inspire people to think about the consequences of frequent plate activities. Finally, he made the map plate into a jigsaw puzzle and asked the teachers to put together each piece, and everyone felt that they were more impressed by the knowledge of the plate.
