老师：作业是对学生所学知识的掌握和反馈，是老师了解你知识积累的镜子，也是爸爸妈妈最心心念念的那一个任务。

Teacher: Homework is the test of your mastery in knowledge, it provides feedback and mirrors your learning ability to the teacher. It is also the one task your parents cared most in your daily routine.

妈妈：你写完作业了吗？

Mom: Did you finish your homework?

传统认知中的作业，是刻板的抄写、重复又重复的背诵，但是ASJ学生的作业生动有趣，通过不同孩子呈现出来的作业，突出ASJ教学的灵活，让孩子更好地学以致用。孩子们在各科作业中大显神通！今天就让我们走进教室，来看看这里的孩子都在做些什么作业吧！

The stereotypical impression of homework assignments believes that homework is the combination of rigid copying and repeated recitation. However, homework in ASJ is both educational and interesting. 在ASJ作业的定义不仅仅见于作业本、习题纸以及练习册。我们对作业的定义有着自己学校独特的见解。在课堂上，老师通过一个模拟招聘现场提升学生的英文和自信能力，在美术教室，学生可通过自己美术作品体现自己的艺术感受，在探究课上，学生的探究作品背后往往体现出学生在完成作品过程中的分析归纳、总结、领导力、演讲能力以及逻辑分析能力。

教育不是一蹴而就的工程，教育是需要这些稚嫩的花朵在园丁们一点点的浸润中逐渐成长的过程。

In ASJ, the definition of homework is not just found in workbooks, worksheets, or exercise books. ASJ has unique take on the definition of homework. In class, teachers improve students' English and their confidence through a job-hunting mock. In art class, students demonstrate their feelings through their artworks. And in inquiry class, students' inquiry work often reflects their analysis skill, leadership, presentation ability, and logical analysis skills in the process of completing the tasks.

Education is not an overnight project but a process that requires these young flowers to grow as the gardener infuses them little by little.

在PYP小学的教学中，探究是一个非常重要的教学环节。作业是以探究为课程的核心，从而使孩子们的教育与世界接轨。

培养孩子成为拥有全球公民和卓越学术使命共存的“世界小公民”，主要目的是要让孩子养成良好的习惯，在学习中学会尊重，学会有责任心，同时学会谦让，学会帮助，学会助人为乐，学会包容，而且最重要的是学习到的这些不只是让孩子们想学到而已，而是要学会学以致用，把所学知识直接、自然的融入到生活工作中去。

Inquiry is a very important part of teaching and learning in PYP elementary schools. Assignments are centered on inquiry as the core of the curriculum, thus bringing children's education into line with the world. To develop students into a "young citizens of the world" with a global citizenship and academic excellence is to develop their good habits, to learn respect, responsibility, humility, tolerance, to learn to help others, and most importantly, to integrate what they have learned directly and naturally into their lives and work.
