2021年11月6日至7日,广州暨大港澳子弟学校小学部的全体教师利用周末休息时间开展了为期两日的校内IBPYP教学培训。这是学部继8月份为期一个月的教师培训后,开展的又一轮集中学习培训活动。


During November 6 to 7, 2021, a two-day in-school IBPYP teaching workshop was conducted in the affiliated school of JNU for Hong Kong & Macao students in Guangzhou. All teachers in the primary department took advantage of the weekend break to attend this workshop. This is another round of intensive learning and training activities since last teacher training workshop in August.








#为什么培训?#

Why do we need to host training?

IB课程是由国际文凭组织IBO为全球学生开设的从幼儿园到大学预科的课程体系,为3-19岁的学生提供智力,情感,个人发展,社会技能等方面的教育,使其获得学习,工作以及生存于世的各项能力。






IB课程对教师教学能力要求如此之高我们从上面的介绍中可见一斑。


根据IB 年审的要求,为保证授权学校提供与IB要求相一致的高质量的课程,在项目试运行期间,学校必须保证满足IB课程实施人员的专业发展培训,做到与最新的IB课程文件相一致。所有教师,无关资历,均需参加“发展PYP”校内培训;

The IB program is a kindergarten to university preparatory curriculum offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) for students worldwide, providing students ages 3-19 with the intellectual, emotional, personal development, and social skills to learn, work, and survive in the world. The IB program requires such a high level of teaching competence as we can see from the above description. In order to ensure that authorized schools provide a high quality curriculum that is aligned with IB requirements, schools must ensure that they meet the professional development training for IB curriculum implementation staff during the pilot period of the program to be aligned with the latest IB curriculum documents. This is also in accordance with the requirements of the IB Annual Review. All teachers, regardless of seniority, are required to attend the Development PYP in-school training.

The teaching philosophy of the IB program is to develop lifelong learners. We are not only educators of the IB, but also practitioners of the IB's goal of lifelong learning education. We are in a fast-changing world, where technology is developing and knowledge is innovating, and experienced teachers need to have a brainstorming session at the right time. All teachers and administrators in the elementary department were actively engaged in this very valuable training opportunity.

IB课程的培训就是还原课程原本的模样。教师们通过培训也切身体会了做为学生的课堂感受。





两日校内培训呈现的就是一幅幅生动活泼的课堂实景图。


根据活动,灵活分组,搭档常换,角色常更,思维常新。

讨论不停,质疑不断,灵感时时迸现,共鸣就在某个瞬间产生。

遵守规则,恪守时间,课堂有序,聆听时落针可闻,讨论时积极热烈。

小组协作,他说你记,你导我演,人人上阵,各展风采。



The IB training is about restoring the curriculum to its original form. The teachers were able to experience what it is like to be a student in the classroom. The two-day in-school training presented a lively picture of the classroom in action.

Flexible grouping according to the activities, partners and roles always change to provide different thinking perspective. Non-stop discussions and questions, inspiration bursts forth and resonance is created at a moment's notice. The class is orderly, listening and discussing with enthusiasm. Group collaboration are emphasized, everyone showed their efforts and charm on the stage.

让我们来听听老师们的收获,他们平时是三尺讲台上的讲者,今天他们又是孜孜探究的学生:

Grace老师是小学高端的英语老师同时也是小学PYP的主任,她有着近20年的教学经验,是一位资深的英语教师,她的体会是:

IB PYP主要的教学方法就是探究。本次培训中Cherie老师从几种探究循环方法来梳理探究循环步骤。探究的方法不同,学习的效果大不相同,它可以让学生学习成长从被动变成主动。对于英语学科来说,英语的学习应该撇开枯燥的语法灌输教学,让学生能主动探究英语的语言规律,比如小组合作学习,成员间讨论,自主阅读,从而生成能力,也就能真正的实现对于知识的综合、分析和加工处理等能力的提升。

Ms. Grace is a high-end English teacher in elementary school, and also the director of PYP. She has nearly 20 years of teaching experience. Here is her reflection:

The main teaching method of IB PYP is inquiry. In this training, Ms. Cherie talks about several methods of the inquiry cycle, trying to sort out the steps of the inquiry cycle. Different methods of inquiry can make a big difference in learning, and it allows students to grow from passive to active learning. For the English subject, English learning should leave aside the boring grammar indoctrination teaching, so that students can take the initiative to explore the language laws of English, such as cooperative group learning, discussion among members, independent reading, so as to generate the ability, which can really achieve the synthesis of knowledge, analysis and processing and other abilities to improve.


Tracy 刘老师来自香港,在香港的IB学校有多年的教学经验,她对于IB 培训的体会:

在培训中,首先培训教室用一个框架的形式 把整个PYP所有元素展示给老师。通过这些不同活动元素的展示,受训的老师非常积极参与,培训气氛很活跃  互动性强。

通过培训,我们的收获:

Ø 学习者档案的建立 教师把学习者档案和班级联合在一起,教师建立班级规则的时候能够以学习者档案为导向,使目标更加明确清晰指引性强;

Ø 时间朋友的策略是一个非常好的办法,促进了老师们更够更多的互动;

Ø 在整个培训过程中,我们不断进行反思 在每一个小结结束后我们都会反思该节的探究互动内容是什么 如何把探究内容运用到教学上。


Tracy Liu is from Hong Kong and has many years of experience teaching at IB schools in Hong Kong. Here is her reflection:

During the training, all the elements of the PYP were presented in the classroom to the teachers in the form of a framework. Through the presentation of these different activities, the teachers were very active and the training became interactive. There are several ideas that inspires me. First, the creation of learners’ profiles. Teachers combine the profiles with the class, so that teachers can use the learner profile as a guide when creating class rules, making the goals clearer and more directive. Secondly, the time-friend strategy is a very good way to promote more interaction among teachers. Thirdly, we continued to reflect ourselves throughout the training. At the end of each quarter, we reflected on what the inquiry interactions were for that div, how to apply the inquiry to our teaching.



Danie老师来自新加坡,他在新加坡和中国内地也有着十分丰富的英语教学,做为英语为母语的外教老师,他的体会有:

在学校筹备期间,学校已经为我们做了为期一个月的培训,但是那时候没有学生,对实际教学状况不了解,只是在理念、理论上有一些基本的认识,但是通过这次培训,我再回头看已经掌握的理论知识,一下子豁然开朗。能够更好地做到理论结合实际,在理论的基础和支撑上,老师们本身做事情的方式也是发生了改变。我体会了反思的重要性和多样性,更想要在教学中贯彻学校的理念,如何把自己的经验在IB的教学理念去更好的体现。

Originally from Singapore, Mr. Danie has extensive experience in teaching English in Singapore and China. As a native English-speaking foreign teacher, here is his reflection:

During the preparation of the school, the school had already done a month-long training for us, but at that time there were no students, thus little understanding of the actual teaching situation. What we had was some basic understanding of the concept and theory. Through this training, when looked back at the theoretical knowledge I had already acquired, and the truth dawns on one in a flash. I am able to better integrate theory with practice, and on the basis and support of theory, the way the teachers themselves did things was changed. I experienced the importance and diversity of reflection. I want to implement the school's philosophy in my teaching and put my own experience in the IB's teaching philosophy to daily practice.







Ronnie老师是小学高端的数学老师,她有4年的数学教学经验,教学风格沉稳亲和力强。

下面我们看看Ronnie的体会:

我是数学老师,通过这次培训,我深刻感受到这个培训颠覆了我对传统数学教学的印象,以前的数学学科是传统教学,它不像探究课程那种形式有吸引力。但是通过培训2 其我认识到不管语文、数学课,这些传统的看似枯燥的基础课,其实是可以以工作坊的形式来交给学生

分组,让他们充分去探究,让学生乐学,用探究的好奇去发现数学原理和规律。对整个教学过程会有一个启发,我会用工作坊的形式用在数学教学中,通过这个学习激发了我对于整个数学IB教学的认识和启发 。

Ronnie is a high-end math teacher in elementary school. She has 4 years of experience in teaching math and has a calm and friendly teaching style. Here are her reflections:

I am a math teacher. Through this training, I deeply feel that this training has overturned my impression of traditional math teaching, which used to be a traditional subject, and it is not attractive in the form of inquiry courses. But through the training I realized that no matter language and math classes, these traditional and seemingly boring basic classes can actually be given to students in the form of workshops. Let them fully explore, let students enjoy learning and discover mathematical principles and laws with an inquisitive curiosity. I will use the workshop format in teaching mathematics, and this learning has stimulated my understanding and inspiration for the whole teaching of mathematics IB.




Jason老师来自南非,是学校的外教英语老师,他做为母语为英语的老师,非常热爱学生,也非常享受在中国的教学时光,他的体会是:

我学到了很多关于“Making the PYP happen”的重要概念和关键信息。在两天的培训中,我对所介绍的内容很感兴趣,并积极参与讨论。

我有信心和动力在我的英语课堂和课程中融入更多的探究性学习机会。IB PYP培训教会我,当学生学习和探索的时候,我应该给他们更多的自主权。通过这样做,我们可以帮助学生变得更加开放。

Jason is a native English speaker from South Africa who loves his students and enjoys his time teaching in China. Here are his reflections:

I learned a lot of important concepts and key information about "Making the PYP happen". During the two days of training, I am interested in the content presented and actively participated in the discussions. The IB PYP training taught me that I should give students more autonomy when it comes to learning and exploring. By doing so, we can help students become more open-minded.





Gery&Ivy 两位老师都是来自香港的青年教师,他们两人分别在各自的教学领域发挥着重要的教学作用,他们两位教师的体会:

Gery老师:通过培训,我对IB课程有更多的掌握。从目标理念教学方法到探究等等方面有更深刻的了解。其中Speed dating教学运用的方法让我感受最深。这个活动能够刺激学生们思考和参与,我将会今后的教学中使用这个教学方法。

Gery & Ivy are both young teachers from Hong Kong, and both of them play an important teaching role in their respective teaching areas. Here are their reflections:

Grey: Through this training, I have gained a better grasp of the IB curriculum. I have a deeper understanding of the objectives, teaching methods, and inquiry. The Speed dating approach inspires me most. This activity stimulates students' thinking and participation, and I will use this method in my future teaching.




Ivy老师:在培训中学到很多不同的教学形式,都启发我可以带入我们的课堂,丰富我的上课的模式。例如上课的时候如何提问学生,对IB6个循环主题的理解让我有了更深刻的认识 。一些概念的东西更加清楚尤其是对抽象的概念的理解。

Ivy: I learned a lot of different teaching formats that I can bring into my classroom and enrich my lesson models. For example, I gained a deeper understanding of how to ask students questions in class and how to understand the 6 IB cycle topics. Some concepts became clearer, especially the abstract ones.




紧张而愉快的两天培训学习终于圆满落下帷幕,老师们满载而归。两日培训,亦经历了两日的深刻反思不仅使老师们对IBPYP课程的实施有了更为深刻的理解,同时也使学校管理层深入反思项目实施现状,思考规划如何更好地支持PYP项目的实施。


广州暨大港澳子弟学校小学PYP的教学团队将不断精进专业,以更好的姿态,迈着更加坚定而自信的步伐迎接挑战,帮助学生们成为胜任未来的终身学习者。


The two days of intense yet enjoyable training and learning finally came to a successful end. The teachers come home loaded with knowledge and new ideas. The two days of training and the two days of reflection not only gave the teachers a deeper understanding of the implementation of the IBPYP curriculum, but also allowed the school management department to reflect on the current status of the program and to think about how to better support the implementation of the PYP program. Our teaching team will continue to refine our profession to meet the challenges with a better posture, a more determined and confident stride. So that we could help our students become lifelong learners for the future.
