今天我们要演讲的主题是《懂得关爱》。

Today our topic is Caring

“懂得关爱”是我们IB教育的十大培养目标之一，要求我们对他人表现出同理心、同情心和尊重；努力开展服务，通过行动使他人的生活和我们周围的世界发生变化。

"Caring" is one of our IB learner profiles, requires us to show empathy, compassion, and respect, to have a commitment to service, and to act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around us.

关爱是人类在进化过程中形成的珍贵品质。中国自古就有“路见不平，拔刀相助”，认为关爱他人不仅是一种善行，更是一种英雄主义；而在西方也有“赠人玫瑰，手留余香”，关爱他人不仅给他人带去了暖温，也给自己带来了快乐。

Caring is a precious quality formed during human evolution. Since ancient times, China has ' uneven road, pull the sword to help ', that caring for others is not only a kind of good deeds but also a heroism; in the West, there are also ' giving roses, leaving fragrance ', caring for others not only brings warmth to others but also brings happiness to ourselves!

广州斐特思公学的六大核心价值之首是“家庭”。“家庭”并不是说我们在一起住、在一起学习和工作就是一家人。只有当我们懂得去关爱他人，用”关爱“来连接彼此时，我们才是真正的一家人。

As we all know, the first of the six core values of our school is ' family '. ' Family ' doesn't mean we live, study, and work together as a family. Only when we know how to care for each other, with ' caring' to connect with each other, we are the real family.

我们将如何用关爱来连接彼此呢？当老师苦口婆心地授予我们知识与做人的道理时，我们的倾听与行动是关爱；当同学勇敢挑战自己时，我们的掌声与鼓励就是关爱；当朋友伤心难过时，我们的拥抱与陪伴就是关爱；当他人面对困难时，我们伸出双手便是关爱。关爱，不分大小，哪怕是一句话、一个手势、一个微笑，都会给他人带去温暖。

How will we connect each other with caring? When the teacher teaches us knowledge and human truth, our listening and action are caring; when our classmates bravely challenge themselves, our applause and encouragement is caring; when our friends are sad, our embrace and companionship are caring; when others face difficulties, our extending hands is caring. Caring, regardless of format, even a word, a gesture, a smile, will bring warmth to others.

让我们从今天开始，关爱他人，关心自己，携手共创一个“人人为我，我为人人”的互助互爱的校园，开创一个更美好，更和平的世界！

Let us start from today, caring for others, caring for ourselves, and working together to create a campus of mutual help and love of "everyone for me, I for everyone", create a better and more peaceful world!
