Besides the year 4, 5, and 6 trip to Cliff Haus next week, the entire school has entered into a more academic mode as the sprint to the end of semester has begun. We want to thank all parents for supporting their children. Also, should you have any questions, don’t hesitate to communicate with our team.

Last Friday we held our annual UISZ Winter Concert and Arts Fair which was a great success - with many parents coming to see their children perform on stage. Here are a few photos documenting the performances.

In K3/Year 1 class, we have just started our new UOI How the World Works. The students have started their exploration into different types of materials. In class, we have created an inquiry station where students can explore and sort different items (changed daily) into material groups. This station has provided the opportunity for our younger learners to experience and feel different types of material to understand their properties.

This news story is about a camp called Week Without Walls for primary students to explore. The Primary Y4 - Y6 is going on a camping trip called ‘Week without walls’ to the destination of Cliff Haus in Yingde.

Ms. Jennifer who I interviewed says we are going to stay there over 3 days.

这个新闻故事是关于一个名为“无墙周”的营地，供小学生探索。Y4 到Y6小学将进行一次名为“无墙周”的野营旅行，目的地是英德的涯迹。我采访的Jennifer老师说我们将在那里呆3天。

Last time, because of COVID 19, the camp that was planned got cancelled. And that’s why our school is planning to go on a camp this year. The meaning of ‘Week Without Walls’ is that if we are inside a classroom there are walls around. But if we explore outside - not at school - there are no walls. And the reason the school is on a camp is because this camping was our school’s tradition, and we can have fun and enjoy camping. The activities we are going to do are swimming, climbing walls, trust activities, and other fun activities. The materials we can bring are a phone and camera to take photos about our adventure.

上次因为COVID 19，本来计划的营地取消了。这就是为什么我们学校计划今年去野营。“无墙周”的意思是，如果我们在教室里，四周都是墙。但是如果我们在外面探索，而不是在学校，就没有墙。学校举办露营的原因是因为露营是我们学校的传统，我们可以享受露营的乐趣。我们要做的活动是游泳、爬墙、信任活动和其他有趣的活动。我们可以带的材料是一部手机和一台相机，用来拍摄我们的冒险经历。
