AIC Talks | AIC副校长David Dai知识讲坛分享- IB的教与学!

本周, AIC Talks「齐物达观」知识讲坛的主讲嘉宾为AIC副校长兼IB协调员David Dai老师, 他毕业于香港大学教育学院,作为香港大学教育学院硕士,David dai老师有着20多年丰富的国际学校教学经验。同时,他不仅为IBDP的中文老师,也是IB的中文主考官, 他凭借着多年的对IB教学的研究与经验, 为我们AICer带来了一场以「IB的教与学」为主题的精彩演讲。


“AIC Talks" this week was lectured by the Deputy Head of school and IB Coordinator of AIC, David Dai! 

He graduated from the Faculty of Education of the University of Hong Kong and holds a master's degree & over 20 years of teaching experience in international schools. In addition to being the IBDP Chinese A teacher and Examiner, David is also the Deputy Head of School and the IBDP Coordinator. As the main speaker, David Dai shared with AICers his many years of professional experiences in the field of IB education and talked about what makes good IB teaching and learning.

正所谓「寓教于乐」, David Dai老师此次论坛的目的旨在适度的激励他人提出有价值的、与以前不同的想法, 

帮助教师反思他们的教学, 帮助学生反思他们的学习, 与不批评。


IB not only focuses on students' thinking from their previous ones. It was to help teachers reflect on their teaching and students to reflect on their learning.


IB教育与学习的核心是一个探究、行动和反思的循环,一种问、做和想的相互作用,这在教师和学生的日常活动中充分体现。同时,IB也非常重视人际关系,这反映了IB的信念,即教育成果是由教师和学生之间的关系深刻塑造的。

David Dai老师在演讲中所提到的「教师的角色」、「学习中的关系」、「全人教育VS学术成绩」、「如何教与学」、「学习方法ATL)」、「制定教学策略」、「探究式学习」、「反思与反馈」这些板块让学生与老师更好的意识到, 发展学生的学习方法技不仅是发展他们的认知能力, 还关系到鼓励学生将学习视为他们在 “积极主动地为自己做事情, 而不是被动地亦步亦趋地对教学作出反应”。通过培养学生的学习方法与技能, 使我们的学生学会如何设定学习目标, 提出更好的问题, 在学习时进行自我质疑, 产生主动性并做到持之以恒, 尝试不同的学习过程, 对学习的有效性进行自我考察, 反思学习成果, 并且在必要时改变自己的学习过程。


The core of IB education and learning is a cycle of inquiry, action and reflection, an interplay of asking, doing and thinking, which is fully reflected in the daily activities of teachers and students. At the same time, IB also places great emphasis on interpersonal relationships, reflecting the IB's belief that educational outcomes are profoundly shaped by the relationships between teachers and students.

In the speech, David Dai mentioned "teacher's role", "Relationship during learning", "whole person education VS academic results", "what to teach and learn", "learning methods (ATL)", "engagement strategies" ”, “Learning based Inquiry”, “Reflection and Feedback” those divs make students and teachers better realize that developing students’ learning method skills is not only about developing their cognitive abilities, but also about encouraging students to see learning as their own. In "actively doing things for yourself, rather than passively responding to teaching".


According to develop students' learning methods and skills, our students learn how to set learning goals, ask better questions, question themselves while learning, generate initiative and perseverance, try different learning Effectiveness conduct self-examination, reflect on learning outcomes, and change the learning process if necessary.


我在以前上LTL课的时候一直认为这是门“水课”,从没认真思考过ATL,IB Learner profile这些概念与学习方法和态度。但升到DP每天面对一堆project忙到手足无措时,我才意识到,在课上“划的水”,都是要付出代价的。


To be honest, I always thought it was an unnecessary for me to learn about the Approaches to Learning. “I never thought about the concepts seriously, learning methods and attitudes of ATL and IB Learner profile. When I joined DP and faced a lot of projects every day, I was overwhelmed, and I realized how important ATL was.”

中国香港大学 教育硕士

戴老师以优异毕业于香港大学教育学院并获该校颁发的教育硕士学位。由于他丰富的IB教学经验与IB教学的研究能力,国际文凭组织(IBO)向他颁发了IB教学资格证书与IB教学研究高级证书。在27年的教育生涯中,他在国际教育界教学汉语长达21年之久。他的部分职业生涯包括担任国际学校世界语言部的负责人、担任新聘中文教师的导师、设计不同语言水平层次的汉语课程和通过网络高中(VHS)向美国的学生教授中文课程。他有多年教学IBDP中文A与中文B的丰富经验。在国际文凭组织大学预科项目的教学中,他已经成功帮助他的学生培养国际意识并在国际文凭的最后考试中取得优异成绩。他目前担任亚加达国际预科副校长、IBDP协调员、中文部教师和IB考官。


The University of Hong Kong, M.Ed

David holds a Master’s Degree (Distinction) in Education awarded by the University Of Hong Kong. Due to his rich experience of IB teaching and capability of researching in IB teaching and learning, International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) awarded him both the IB Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Learning Research and the IB Certificate in Teaching and Learning (DP). He has been a teacher for 27 years and has been teaching Chinese in the international educational area for over 21 years. Some of his professional experiences includes being the facilitator of World Language Department, mentoring new Chinese teachers, designing Chinese curricula for various proficiency levels, and delivering online courses to students in the US through Virtual High School (VHS). He has rich experience of teaching Chinese A and Mandarin B. During his IBDP teaching experience, he has successfully helped his students develop international-mindedness and achieve excellent results in internal and external exams. He is the Deputy Head of School, IBDP coordinator, Teacher of Chinese A and an IB examiner.

What is AIC Talk?

From literature, math to philosophy and science…the knowledge of all things stems from the one source: the pure delight in knowledge itself and the joy in philosophical enlightenment.



「齐物达观」知识讲坛是由AIC中国文化协调员Caroline老师和中文部主任Yueying老师发起的知识型讲座活动,旨在为学识渊博的AIC教师和家长提供一个分享他们专业知识和激情的平台,也是一个同学们展示自己对文化的理解的艺术舞台。


AIC Talks initiated by AIC Chinese culture coordinator Caroline and the head of the Chinese department Yueying. It’s a monthly campus forum, aims to build a learning platform for knowledgeable AIC teachers and parents to share their expertise, passion and knowledge in a wide range of subject areas such as language, history, culture, music, and international education. Meanwhile, a stage for talented students to show their understanding of culture.




AIC通过长期开展齐物达观知识讲坛的活动,让学生增长见识、思考问题,培养学生的思辨能力和批判性思维, 期待学生们在一次次的学习中不断进步、通达明理,激励学生掀起学术新风, 将“终身学习”的观念贯彻落实。


Through the AIC Talks, will let students increase their knowledge, cultivate their thinking skills and critical thinking.  Motivated students to set off a new academic trend, and get used to "lifelong learning".
