A strong home-school partnership is essential for students to reach their full potential. UPAZ promotes regular communication between parents and teachers, as well as parent volunteer programs. Utahloy Parent Association Zengcheng plays an important role at UISZ and is the main driver in building a cohesive school community.
Our goals are to create a vibrant global community that actively supports the school’s mission and engages our parent community.
Organize and support events that heighten community spirit and make our school a warm and inviting place for all families.
Represent UISZ families’ point of view to the school administration and be the channel for constructive dialogue between the two.
Engage with UISZ families to increase interest and understanding of the function of the UPAZ.
UPAZ works with the principal, staff, and the board of management to build effective partnerships between home and UISZ.
Educational research on the involvement of parents in schools shows that children achieve higher levels when parents and teachers work together.
UPAZ can advise the principal and Board of Management on policy issues and incidents that may require a review of school policy, e.g. Bullying, Safety, Homework, Behavior problems, etc.
UPAZ can suggest and/or organize extra-curricular activities.
UPAZ can invite speakers to address the parents on issues that are topical or relevant.
Supporting and empowering parents
UPAZ builds and encourages a strong and supportive parent community and provides a network of communication between parents, faculty, and administration, to keep administrators and parents informed, and to give parents a voice in the life of the school.
