Congratulations

to the Class of 2022!

Dear class of 2022,

It is a real honour for me to address these few words as you are about to fly to higher skies.  As Ms Dorothy Wong mentioned, you are leaving, but it does not mean that you become strangers.

UISZ has been your second home for many years now (more so these past weeks while in quasi-lockdown), and there will always be a special place for you on our campus.  I will remember your leadership the first time I noticed you all showcasing your energy and talent during the Festival of the Arts in 2020.  At that moment, you unknowingly left a part of your legacy to younger UISZ students following in your footsteps by performing this song and dance taken from a famous musical.

Students certainly, I hope, saw your positive energy, your poise, and your determination.  I am sure they were impressed.  Since then, you did not deceive by helping to keep UISZ life thrive with your various endeavors while preparing your future, destined to be bright.

Every moment, they saw in you role models, and I am forever thankful for that.

Thank you also for your sense of agency, and your advocacy to stand for things you judged right not only for you, but also for your classmates and the school.  At times, we have been sitting at opposing side of the table, but  I always felt that we were steering towards the same goals.

Dear class of 2022, I am looking forward to celebrating the upcoming graduation with you.  Will it be at the hotel?  At school?  With or without your parents?  Who knows?  What I know for sure, it is that you are prepared and comfortable to embrace these uncertainties.

Once again thank you!  Congratulations, and safe travels!
