The purpose of the co-curriculum programme is to cultivate and expand our students' interests, and the ultimate goal is to build student expertise through developing their potential. Therefore, we are not limited to one learning model. Different courses have different learning needs. For advanced and demanding subjects, we develop school teams, and combine after-school programmes as well as weekend programmes. We have even converted some courses into compulsory courses, such as Drama and English debate, community service and so on. We will provide as many platforms and opportunities as possible for our children in a holistic manner. We trust that flexible and diversified supplementary courses can help our children develop in the most comprehensive way possible.

Most of the co-curriculum activities are elective and are divided into higher and lower-age groups, through a mixed-class model in order todevelop children's communication and interpersonal skills. One of the 10 attributes of the IB learner profile is being 'caring’; through mixed classes of different ages, in this mixed-class environment, student leadership, assistance, teamwork and communication skills are further cultivated and exercised.

The co-curriculum programme occurs within the school day as part of the ISA curriculum. Students can experience diverse learning from varied courses under continuous supervision by the school and within the school day. Therefore, we not only ensure the quality and continuity of the school day programme but also save time and expenses that parents invest in after-school activities.

In addition to the qualifications of the organization and teachers, we control the teaching quality of each programme. We arrange our own teachers to assist and supervise the classes, so as to ensure the teaching quality of each class. Instead of introducing the course directly, we have specific requirements, supervision and management for the institution, according to the characteristics and requirements of ISA Liwan and participate during the whole course.

PAI aim to perfect our talents and allow students to perform at every level, from school events to global competitions. The ISA Performing Arts Institute will become a centre of excellence, inviting outstanding artists from all over the world to share their learning and deliver professional masterclasses.

The ISA Sports Teams allow students who enjoy sports to have the opportunity to access better training resources and develop their skills. The Academy is dedicated to providing expert training for our young people as part of a wider range of instruction.

The after-school programme encourages students to continuously explore their interests and specialities after class.

The Weekend Programme provides a range of professional, high-quality courses and resources for learners from the wider society, including ISA community members and non-ISA community members and adults.

Personalized tutoring is meant to take into account the uniqueness of students' personalities and individual differences in constructing learning plans and customizing growth for each student.

The ISA International Academy and ISA Liwan provide multi-level, diverse competitions and guidance beyond the classroom to explore subjects, generate original thinking, broaden horizons and cultivate personalities. Participation in competitions will help children build self-confidence and inspire them to explore and enjoy their learning with greater enthusiasm.

The ISA International Academy will cooperate with the ISA Charity Fund to build a bridge, connecting public welfare and education, and supporting the curriculum. We will create platforms and channels to encourage students and parents to personally participate in charitable activities and cultivate children's sense of social responsibility and values.
