——诗中有画，画中有诗

A poem in a painting, a painting in a poem

“展开想象的翅膀，带上专业的眼光，诠释名人的佳作，书写自己的诗歌。”这是语言与文学学科组为学生们设计的探究活动。

徜徉于网络，学生们有兴奋、激动，也有烦躁、不安，诗歌的品鉴能够帮助学生在他人和自己的诗画中寻找情绪的安放之处。同时，学生们也可以在思想、内容、风格、技巧、结构、语言等一个个审美要素的探究中，在诗意的自我构建中，提升诗歌的审美能力和创作能力。

“Spread the wings of your imagination, bring a professional eye, interpret the masterpieces of famous people and write your own poetry.” This is an inquiry activity designed by the Language and Literature Group for students.

Wandering through the internet, students are excited and thrilled, as well as irritable and restless, poetry appreciation helps children find a place to rest their emotions in the poetic pictures of others and themselves. At the same time, students develop their aesthetic and creative skills in poetry through the exploration of every aesthetic element, such as thought, content, style, technique, structure and language.

轴对称图形设计

同学们结合所学的轴对称知识，利用图形的变化原理与规则，设计呈现对称美的图形，感受数学在美术中应用。轴对称图形不仅仅是抽象的图案，也可以是具象的物；在制作设计风筝时，学生再次感受数学中尺规作图的准确性。线上教学期间，学生在课余时间设计图案和制作风筝，感受数学在美术和生活中的应用，在尝试放飞风筝的同时，放飞自己天赋！

The students combined with the axisymmetric knowledge they learned, used the changing principles and rules of graphics, designed and presented symmetrical graphics, and felt the application of mathematics in art. Axisymmetric figures are not only abstract patterns, but also concrete objects. When making and designing kites, students will feel the accuracy of the ruler drawing in mathematics. During the online class, students designed patterns and make kites in their spare time, felt the application of mathematics in art and life, and expressed their gifts at the same time.

语言魅力无处不在

The charm of language is everywhere

在线上教学期间，三个年级的学生分别用不同的活动展现了他们运用英语的魅力。七年级学生用文字和图画展现了他们最爱的季节，八年级学生手工制作了感恩节卡片，表达了他们的感激之情。同时，他们也深度探索了古代和现代的种种交流方式。九年级学生则进行了一场关于健康饮食的探究，记录和分析家庭的食谱，并设计健康食谱。这充分展现了同学们懂得关爱和勤于思考的品质。

During the online lessons, all the students in different grades explored the charming usage of English. Students in Grade Seven showed their favorite seasons. Two students in Grade Eight made several thanksgiving cards expressing their feeling to whom they love, and they also made some research about communication in ancient time and modern society. Students in Grade Nine carried out an inquiry activity on the theme Balanced diet. They designed healthy recipes for family members. As IB learners, the students have fully showed caring and thinking skills.

身边的“小探索家”

The "little Explorers" around you

科学的精神就是不断的探索、不断的实验、不断的创新。网课期间，同学们继续践行着停课不停学，探索无止境的精神。将身边简单的工具变为科研器材，把房间变实验室，利用所学的知识进行了力所能及的研究。八年的同学们利用所学的光的折射知识自己制造了一束束彩虹，在给平淡的阳光增加了色彩，并深化了对色散的理解；九年级的同学将土豆这种食物玩出了新的花样，不仅理解了过氧化氢的知识，更明白了化学对人类生活的重要影响。

The spirit of science is the spirit of continuous exploration, continuous experimentation, and continuous innovation. During the online classes, the students continued to practice the spirit of learning and exploration, they turned the simple tools around into scientific research equipment, turned the room into a laboratory, and used the knowledge they have learned to conduct a lot of researches. Students in Grade Eight used their knowledge of refraction of ray to create rainbows. Grade Nine students used potatoes in the experiments. They not only understood the knowledge of hydrogen peroxide, but also understood the huge impact of chemistry on human life.

在学习完抗日战争的历史后，学生将课堂学到的知识，以图文结合的方式，向父母进行讲授。在探究过程中，学生实现了知识的二次升华，由单纯输入式学习方式，转为输入与输出相结合的学习方式，同时也增进了家长对学生学习效果的了解，并在“听课”过程中，感受了学生的家国情怀，也增进了亲子关系。

After learning about the Anti-Japanese War, students tried to tell their parents about what they have learned on class. During this process, students realized the sublimation of knowledge. Their parents can know what the students have learned, and feel the students' mindedness of home and country. This method can enhance the parent-child relationship at the same time. 

读史，亦是读人。历史，不仅仅是一串串数字，一件件文物，更是由一个个鲜活的人组成。由这些鲜活的人物构成的历史，从来不是冷冰冰的，是有温度的历史。通过了解历史人物，感受他们独特的人格魅力。人文历史学科选择了历史人物作为探究主题，让学生们感受历史与人物的紧密联系。

Learning History is learning not just a string of numbers, cultural relics, but also live people. History is made up of these figures, and it is not cold to feel. Through understanding historical figures, we can touch their unique personality charm. History class chose historical figures as the subject of inquiry so that students can feel the close connection between history and figures.

——地理(Geography)

方言，是一种乡音，是一种文化，天然承载着地理因素。爱家乡，要更爱家乡的声音。人文地理学科召唤学生们跟父母了解和学习家乡的方言，并用方言对爸爸妈妈说出“爸爸妈妈，我爱你”，增强亲子沟通，寻根探源，了解故土文化！

Dialect is a kind of local sound and a kind of culture, which naturally carries geographical factors. Loving your hometown is somewhat loving the sounds of home. During the online study, students communicated with their parents in dialects by saying "Mom and Dad, I love you" to parents in dialects to enhance parent-child communication, and to better understand their native culture!

——道法(Morality and Law)

新的奋斗征程呼唤新的使命担当，深刻领悟二十大精神，传承红色基因，汲取奋斗的力量，学党史，听党话、跟党走，自觉做中国特色社会主义的坚定信仰者、忠实实践者，做党和新时代的优秀接班人！道法科目结合最近学习的二十大会议内容和党史内容鼓励学生跟着党的步伐走，学习二十大精神，并制作了精彩的学习手抄报！

Students combined the recent study of the 20th People's Congress content and our Party history content to make hand-coped newspaper in order to show their embrace of PRC!

Appreciation goes hand in hand with taste

鉴赏音乐中的进行曲、探索卡通和漫画背后的创作故事、设计即将到来的新年祝福，成为本期艺术学科组的主题。孩子们在音乐中发现创作规律，在图画中了解创作灵感，在设计中体味祝福，艺术就是这么神奇！

Appreciating the march in music, exploring the creative stories of cartoons and comics, and designing the upcoming New Year's greetings have become the themes of our art subject group. Students discovered the rules of creation in music, understood the inspiration of creation in pictures, and appreciated blessing in design. Art is so magical!

除了线上学科学习外，线上第二课堂——中黄管乐ECA也没有停下脚步。中黄乐团课聘请乐团名师，开展一对一及一对三的专业辅导。乐器包括长笛、圆号、萨克斯、单簧管以及打击乐。线上乐团课的开展，使学生的音乐素养进一步提高，对乐器的练习也能够持之以恒，专业度大大提升。同时第二课堂也丰富了学生的课余生活，陶冶了情操，帮助学生在居家上课的过程中，放松心情，释放压力，增进了亲子关系。

In addition to online subject learning, we also carried out the second online class -- Wind Music (ECA). ZWIE Orchestra class employs famous orchestra teachers to carry out one-to-one and one-to-three professional guidance. The Instruments include flute, French horn, saxophone, clarinet and percussion. The development of the online orchestra class has further improved the students' music literacy, and the practice of musical instruments can also be sustained, and the professionalism has been greatly improved. At the same time, it has enriched students' extracurricular life, cultivated their sentiments, and helped students releasing pressure and enhancing parent-child relationship in the process of attending classes at home.

When the first ray of sunshine in the morning spread to the earth, the teachers gave the students a warm call to prepare their morning reading. 线上教学期间地球故事给学生们准备了三大主题的故事和新闻：看锦绣山河，爱美丽生活、追梦记、缅怀伟人江泽民同志追悼会。其中12月6日当天同学们在观看完毕江泽民同志的追悼会后纷纷为伟人默哀、送别，并书写了对伟人的缅怀之情！

During the online teaching, we prepared stories and news about three major themes for students in the Earth Story time: Watching beautiful mountains and rivers to enjoy beautiful life, chasing the dream and attending online memorial meeting of comrade Jiang Zemin.

身体健康从运动做起

我们不会因为线上教学就停止对学生身体素质提升的要求，每天学生们都会在有序的组织下居家体育锻炼。学生通过练习八段锦养生功法提高自身免疫力；同时四年一度的世界杯期间，鼓励学生深入研究足球技术，参与足球练习，学习竞技场上的拼搏精神，真正做到全民运动。抗疫从锻炼身体做起。

We never stop practicing students' physical fitness even they have to do the exercises at home. Our students did physical exercises at home in an orderly way. The fight against the epidemic starts with exercise.

ATL skill: self-discipline

线上教学需要鼓励学生充满正能量，积极管理自己的行为，学会面对和应对网课带来的精神压力和不便。因此，线上授课期间，中学部老师们特别是班主任们，利用每个班会机会与学生探讨自律的重要性。生活物品整理收纳的自律、按时参与线上升旗的自律、认真完成课后作业的自律……请看被抓拍的学生们的各种“自律”表现！

Online teaching should encourage students to be full of positive energy, actively manage their behavior, learn to face and cope with the mental pressure and inconvenience brought by online classes. Therefore, during the online teaching, the middle school teachers, especially the homeroom teachers, used each class meeting time to discuss the importance of self-discipline with their students.
