3月24日-26日，来自AIC DP1商业管理和心理学班的6名学生参加了在深圳举行的ASDAN商业模拟初赛。此次比赛来自中国各地10所学校的15支队伍参赛,AIC的团队为第12号参赛队。

Over the weekend of the 24th and 26th of March of 2023, 6 students from the DP 1 business management and psychology classes took part in the preliminary round of the ASDAN business simulation held at the Ikingfan International Academy in the Nanshan district of Shenzhen. Our team was the 12th company to sign up for the competition which had a total of 15 companies participating from 10 schools from around China.

About the ASDAN Business Simulation

ASDAN 模拟商赛是为帮助未来商业领袖和企业家更好地掌握经营企业的实际战略而创立，模拟赛事中，学生可参与从公司文化到生产所需的创造、考虑和决策全过程，是让学生思考企业经营实践的一种绝佳方式。

表现优秀者将有机会获得ASDAN青年企业家证书，证书由ASDAN英国总部颁发，说明学生在企业运营方面的初步能力，同时证明了学生在优秀的商学活动中取得优异成绩，增加在大学申请时的优势。

The ASDAN Business Simulation has been created in an effort to help the aspiring business leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow grasp a better practical and strategic understanding of how to run a business. During the simulation students will be actively involved in creating, thinking, and deciding on every aspect of their business from their company culture to their production needs. The interactive aspect of the simulation is a great way for students to get involved in thinking about the practicalities of running a business.

Outstanding delegate would be awarded by ASDAN Enterprise Award from ASDAN UK. The certificate is endorsed by the British Qualifications and Curriculum Service (QCA) and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Day one

— 比赛第一天 —

第一天，学生们参加了三轮操作，这些操作由不同的业务场景组成，每个团队都必须做出业务决策，每个决策都会影响他们每轮的利润或损失。在每一轮比赛结束时，根据每支参赛队的累计利润对队伍进行分类。学生们完成了他们的商业计划，并在比赛中向评委和同行们展示了他们的计划。在开幕式上，学生们被告知独角兽挑战赛，该挑战赛包括装饰一个手提包，作为他们公司的营销工具（Muse挑战赛）。

On the first day, the students participated in three operation rounds that consisted of different business scenarios where each team had to make business decisions, each decision would affect their profit and/or loss for each round. At the end of each round, the teams were classified according to the accumulated profit each team had. The students completed and presented their business plans to the judges and their peers in the pitch deck competition. During the opening ceremony, the students were informed about the unicorn challenge which consisted of decorating a tote bag that would serve as a marketing tool for their company (Muse Challenge).

Day two

On the second day there were 2 more operation rounds which would help to decide the winners of simulation, as well as the business battle.

AIC学生们还应邀参加了将于明年举行的世界青年经济论坛。

Company 12 also was invited to participate in the World Youth Economic Forum that will take place next year.

Our company’s CEO shared her reflection, here is what she said:

CEO 团队 12 – Vivian Liang

“通过这次ASDAN比赛，我认为我们团队在某些方面做得很好。作为团队的领导者，我主要负责团队成员的物流和比赛的财务部分。通过比赛，我们可以大致了解创业的整个过程，并感知商业规律; 如产品设计、营销、品牌规划，等等……所有比赛主题都选自联合国的17个可持续发展目标，以帮助我们了解商业世界，解决真正的问题，并教会我们商业如何改变人们的生活。

通过比赛过程，我学会了如何与他人进行交易，以及如何在拍卖环节进行社交。在路演过程中，我提高了英语口语能力，并试图在公众面前发表关于我设计的公司的演讲。然后，我也了解了团队合作的重要性。

我们每天都在努力准备比赛内容，并通过多次演讲排练在路演中获奖。但我仍然想反思一下，在这场比赛中，团队成员之间缺乏沟通，这导致我们的部分比赛最终没有取得好成绩。在我们的操作回合中，一开始我们的成绩不是很好，但通过我们的努力，我们的排名达到了60%。我认为结果很好，但我希望如果我们有机会再合作，我们可以改善团队成员之间的沟通。”

“ Through this ASDAN competition, I think our group has done well in some aspects. As the leader of this team, I was mainly responsible for the logistics of the team members and the financial part of the competition. Through the competition, we can have a general understanding of the whole process of entrepreneurship and perceive business law. Such as product design, marketing, brand planning, and so on……All competition themes are selected from the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations to help us understand the world of business, address real issues, and teach us how business can change people's lives.

Through the course of the competition, I learn how to trade with others and how to socialize in the auction part. In the process of the roadshow, I improved my oral English ability and tried to make a speech about the company I designed in front of the public. Then, I also learned how important to work in group cooperation.

I think our team members did a great job in this competition. We worked hard every day to prepare the content of the competition, and we won awards in the road show through several speech rehearsals. But I still want to reflect on the lack of communication between team members in this competition, this led to parts of our competition didn’t have a good result at the end. In our operation round, our results were not very good at the beginning, but through our efforts, we came to 60% in the ranking. I think the result is very good, but I hope that if we have the chance to cooperate, we can improve the communication between the team members.”

“我们为ASDAN付出了很多，我为我的团队感到无比自豪。我的队友们全心全意地投入到这场为期两天的激烈比赛中，很高兴我们的努力取得了成果…”

“We gave ASDAN our all and I am extremely proud of my team as well as our accomplishments. My teammates poured heart and soul into the intense, two-day competition, and I'm glad that our labour bore fruit...”

Team Member – Lesley Lu:

“对于像我这样第一次参加商业比赛的学生来说，这是一次难忘的经历。作为一个一生中从未学习过任何商业或经济学相关课程的人，我们本应该再获得几枚奖牌，由于一些意想不到的问题，我们没能获得我们应该获得的奖牌。然而，作为一支主修科学的团队我们大多数人对此都是新手，我们一直感到自豪和客观。”

“It was an outstanding experience for students like me who first participated in a business competition. As someone who never studied any business or economics-related courses in my whole life, though, we should’ve gotten a few more medals but unfortunately, because of some unexpected problems, we weren’t able to get what we should. However, as a team who mostly majors in science, and how most of us are new to this, we are proud and objective for the whole time.”
