Over the past weekend, the 2024 IB China Annual Conference was grandly held at the Shenzhen Foreign Language GBA Academy. This event, closely following the pulse of "global education localization and sustainable innovation," covered various aspects of IB education, including IB kindergarten, primary school, middle school, university preparatory, vocational education, and educational leadership. As an internationally recognized educational system, IB education leads the direction of global education development with its unique international perspective and diverse educational concepts.



在刚刚过去的周末,2024 IB中国区年会在深圳外国语湾区学校盛大举行,此次盛会紧扣“全球教育本土化与可持续性创新”的时代脉搏,内容涵盖IB幼儿园、小学、初中、大学预科、职业教育及教育领导力等IB教育的各个层面。作为国际认可的教育体系,IB教育以其独特的国际化视野和多元化的教育理念引领着全球教育的发展方向。

At this IB China Education Forum, the PIEP research team had the privilege of gathering with education elites from across the country, engaging in thorough exchanges regarding the challenges, achievements, and experiences along the path of integration and innovation.



本次IB中国教育论坛,PIEP教研团队有幸与全国各地的教育精英汇聚一堂,就融合与创新之路上的挑战、收获、经验进行了充分交流。



At this educational forum, which aimed to gather front line teaching experiences and educational case studies from IB educators nationwide, the PIEP research team's presentation, titled "How to Help New Teachers Become IB Educators in the Early Childhood Education Stage," stood out among over 3000 applications and was successfully selected. During the sub-forum, PIEP had the honor of showcasing its deep understanding and application of the IB philosophy, as well as its exploration and practices in the growth and development of IB teachers, to thousands of IB education managers and practitioners from across the country.

本次教育论坛向广大IB教育者征集一线教学经验及教育案例分享,PIEP教研团队的演讲主题《在学前教育阶段,如何帮助新教师成为一名IB老师》从3000多份申请中崭露头角,成功入选。在分论坛上,PIEP有幸向来自全国各地上千名IB教育管理者和工作者,展示PIEP对IB理念的深入理解和运用,及对IB教师成长和发展的探索实践。
Principal Shirley shared how PIEP systematically constructs the path for the growth of IB teachers, helping them evolve into competent IB educators and lifelong learners. PIEP aims for every teacher in the school to embrace change and continuously pursue learning and growth. This transformation starts from the school and teachers, influences specific teaching practices, and ultimately extends to the students, nurturing them into independent, flexible, and innovative lifelong learners. This integration of individual teacher development into the overall development of the school is a crucial reason why PIEP prioritizes it.


Shirley园长分享了PIEP是如何一步步搭建IB教师的成长之路,帮助园内教师成长为合格的IB教师兼终身学习者PIEP希望园内的每一位老师是拥抱变革的,是不断追求学习和成长的。这种变化将从学校、教师开始,进而影响到具体教学实践,最终传递到学生,将我们的孩子培养成自主的、灵活的、创新的终身学习者。这也是PIEP把教师个体的发展融入到学校整体发展中的的重要原因。


Teacher Suki shared her experience in the growth of IB teachers at the early childhood education stage, delving deeper into the analysis of "concept-driven inquiry-based teaching." She explored how teachers can cultivate students' innovation, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork spirit through inquiry-based teaching, thereby enhancing students' interest and effectiveness in learning.



Suki老师则分享了在学前教育阶段IB教师的成长经验,更深入️分析“以概念驱动的探究式教学是怎样的”,探讨了教师如何通过探究式教学,培养学生的创新能力、问题解决能力和团队合作精神,提高学生的学习兴趣和学习效果。



With a wealth of practical insights, Suki's sharing provided an exemplary demonstration of high-quality development, showcasing an IB learner community at the forefront of integrated domestic and foreign curriculum construction. It attracted numerous attendees for learning and exchange, undoubtedly offering inspiration to fellow educators and front line teachers present at the event.



干货满满的倾囊分享为现场教师展现了一个高质量发展的,中外融合课程建设走在行业一线的IB学习者社区,吸引了众多听众聆听和交流学习,相信也给予现场教育同行和一线教师一些启发。






While generously sharing our expertise, we also encouraged PIEP teachers to step out, absorb, integrate, and innovate. The IB China Annual Conference serves as a significant platform, bringing together experts, scholars, practitioners, and educators in the field of IB education, aiming to promote the deep development and innovation of IB education in China through sharing experiences and exchanging ideas. In the 80 sub-forums, front line IB educators brought their authentic experiences and curriculum case studies, from which the PIEP research team also benefited greatly.



倾囊分享的同时,我们也让PIEP教师走出去,吸收、融合、创新。IB中国区年会作为一个重要的平台,汇聚了IB教育领域的专家学者、实践者和教育工作者,旨在通过分享经验、交流思想,推动IB教育在中国的深度发展与创新。80场分论坛上,具有一线教学经验的各位IB教育者带来了他们的真实经验和课程案例分享,PIEP教研团队在本次盛会中也受益匪浅。

During this event, PIEP teachers seized the opportunity to deeply learn from the teaching practices of other IB educators. Not only did this enrich their own teaching "toolbox," but it also broadened their perspectives in the field of education, prompting them to continuously enhance and improve teaching methods to provide children with more high-quality and diverse inquiry-based curricula.


PIEP教师借此机会深入学习来自其他IB教育者的教学实践,不仅丰富了自身的教学“装备库”,还开拓了教育领域的视野,促使他们不断提升和改进教学方法,为孩子提供更加优质和多样化的探究课程。


感谢领导们给予的宝贵机会。这两天的论坛经历让我收获颇丰。在与其他学校老师们交流的过程中,不仅听取了许多有关IB教育的新理念和方法,还深刻领悟到了教育的广泛意义和深远影响。


通过这次论坛,我更加清晰地认识到教育的重要性和深远影响。教育不仅是知识的传授,更是对学生整体发展的引导和培养。我们作为教育者,肩负着培养未来人才和社会栋梁的重责,需要不断地学习和进步,以更好地适应时代的变化和挑战。


在未来的教育实践中,我将积极运用论坛中学到的理念和方法,努力激发学生的学习兴趣,培养他们的创新能力和批判性思维。我深信,通过不断地学习和探索,我们能够为学生的成长和未来的发展贡献更多的力量。


I'm grateful for the valuable opportunity provided by our leaders. The past two days at the forum have been incredibly enriching. Engaging with teachers from other schools, I not only absorbed many new concepts and methods regarding IB education but also had a profound realization of the extensive significance and lasting impact of education.

Through this forum, my understanding of the importance and profound influence of education has become clearer. Education isn't just about imparting knowledge but also about guiding and nurturing students' overall development. As educators, we carry the weighty responsibility of cultivating future talents and societal leaders, necessitating continuous learning and growth to better adapt to the ever-evolving landscape.

In my future educational endeavors, I intend to actively integrate the insights and strategies gleaned from the forum, endeavoring to ignite students' passion for learning and foster their innovative thinking and critical analysis skills. I firmly believe that through ongoing learning and exploration, we can make even greater contributions to the growth and future success of our students.




参加2024年中国 IB 教育论坛,深有体会。从大局上,既目睹了全球 IB 项目的发展趋势,也领略到众多 IB 学校的闪光之处。其中,清华附中王殿军教授的演讲令人印象深刻,他提出中国的国际教育须根植于本土教育。的确,国际教育使我们在学习本土文化的基础上,拥有更广阔的国际视野。于我个人而言,众多优秀的 IB 讲师在台上自信地分享经验,让我深受鼓舞,未来 IB 学习探究之旅任重道远,我会继续努力。


Participating in the China IB Education Forum was a great experience. From a broad perspective, I witnessed the development trend of IB programmes around the world, and I also appreciated the brilliant features of many IB schools. Among them, Prof Wang Dengjun from Tsinghua High School gave a very impressive speech in which he suggested that international education in China must be rooted in local education. Indeed, international education allows us to have a broader international perspective based on learning about local culture. Personally, I was encouraged by the many excellent IB teachers who confidently shared their experiences on stage. I still have a long way to go in my IB learning journey and I will continue to study hard.




在深圳的春天里,我有幸参与了IB中国教育论坛的培训,耳闻之不如目见之,目见之不如足践之,在IB教育论坛现场,聆听了众多一线教学经验的IB教育者的真实经验和课程案例分析,让我对IB教育有了更深刻的感悟。同时此次论坛还给予了参会者参观的机会。参观学校创设了丰富的学生探究作品,给予了孩子充分的选择权、发言权和主导权。深圳之行让我深刻地体会到作为教师,育人先育己,老师首先要成为终生学习者,才能带给孩子无限可能!


The IB China education forum gave us new inspiration and ideas to take into our future education practice.We also explored the classroom environment in SGA. The school created environment with rich student inquiry work, giving children full choice, voice and ownership.As an IB teacher,embracing lifelong learning is crucial for our personal and professional growth.By committing to continuous learning,we can adapt to changes,maintain our relevance , and unlock new possibilities.




此次IB中国教育论坛上,从欣赏孩子的表演,到IB体系下一线老师们各分论坛的讨论与分享,都给予我很多的启发和灵感。


在孩子的表演呈现上,很好的呈现了孩子们勇于尝试、全面发展的培养者目标。在聆听IB教师分享时,老师提及的KUD(Know/Understand/Do)理念,个人非常认同。在日常教学活动中,我们也应该循序渐进,要让孩子们有把知识转化为行动的能力。在各分论坛的讨论和分享中,了解到其他学校在实践中的可借鉴之处,比如孩子在呈现学习内容时,可以多聆听幼儿的声音,听一听孩子们各自想要呈现的内容是什么,发挥幼儿的主导性,尊重幼儿的自主选择单元结题展可搬到户外进行,结合单元探究主题进行内容的呈现和分享,增加结题展活动的互动性等。


有幸参与年会,学习和借鉴他人的长处,为课程设置和讨论注入多样的想法和创意。


At the IB China Education Forum, from enjoying the children's performances to the discussions and sharing of the various sub-forums of the frontline teachers under the IB system, I was enlightened and inspired.

The presentation of the children's performances were a good representation of the goal of nurturers who are  risk takers and balanced. When listening to the IB teachers' sharing their experiences , the teacher mentioned the KUD (Know/Understand/Do) concept, which I personally agree with strongly . In our daily teaching activities, we should also "progress step by step", so that children have the ability to "turn knowledge into action". During the discussions and sharing in the sub-forums, we learnt about what other schools can learn from their practices, such as listening to children's voices when presenting learning content, listening to what children want to present, allowing to children's leadership to occur  and respecting children's independent choices; moving the unit exhibition outdoors, combining the unit's theme of inquiry with the presentation of the contents and sharing, and increasing the interactivity of the exhibition activities.

We are fortunate to be able to participate in the annual conference and learn from the strengths of others, injecting diverse ideas and creativity into the curriculum and discussions.




非常荣幸能够参加这次IB年会的学习。在这次学习中我深刻地认识到,在教学中注重个性化教学的重要性。通过参加这次学习,我不仅学到了许多新的教学理念和方法,还深入了解了个性化教学的概念和实践策略。在学习中,我认识到,个性化教学不仅仅是关注每个幼儿的个体差异,更重要的是关注每个幼儿的兴趣、需求、学习方式和学习节奏等方面,为每个幼儿提供适合自己的教学内容和方法,从而激发幼儿的学习兴趣和动力,促进幼儿的全面发展。


I am very honored to participate in this IB annual conference learning. Through this learning, I deeply realized the importance of focusing on personalized teaching in the teaching process. By attending this learning, not only did I learn many new teaching concepts and methods, but also gained a deep understanding of the concept and practical strategies of personalized teaching. In the learning process, I recognized that personalized teaching is not just about focusing on the individual differences of each child, but also about focusing on each child's interests, needs, learning style, and learning pace, providing each child with appropriate teaching content and methods tailored to their needs, thus stimulating the child's interest and motivation in learning and promoting their comprehensive development.




上星期六前往深圳参加2024IB中国教育论坛。这次充满活力和启发性的论坛,让我深感自己在教育领域中获得了宝贵的经验和深刻的洞见,为我提供了一个交流教育经验以及探讨教育未来发展方向的平台。


论坛上的演讲和讨论让我对国际教育有了更深入的了解。IB教育作为一种全球性的教育模式,强调培养学生的全球视野、跨学科能力和综合素质。论坛上的专家、学者和教育工作者的分享让我认识到IB教育的核心理念和实践方法。


此外,论坛上的互动环节也让我收获颇丰。我有机会与其他优秀的IB教育工作者交流想法、分享经验。这些交流让我认识到教育的复杂性和多样性,以及我们如何更好地满足学生的需求,促进他们的全面发展。


PIEP主持的论坛中,会场的来宾聚精会神、热烈参与,论坛结束后依然与我们的主持人真切交流。我们不跟随潮流,因为我们卓尔不群,所以我们引领潮流!我真为成为PIEP的一份子感到骄傲


一天半的紧凑行程在新思维迸发的火花中结束,离开前回望那个偌大、充满智慧的校园,仿佛又把我带回了学生时代,聆听、反思、努力争取更大的进步,为成为教育者这份问卷寻找最合适的答案!


I attended the 2024 IB China Education Forum in Shenzhen last Saturday. This dynamic and inspiring forum has made me deeply feel that I have gained valuable experience and profound insights in the field of education, providing me with a platform to exchange educational experiences and explore the future development direction of education.

The speeches and discussions on the forum have given me a deeper understanding of international education. IB education, as a global education model, emphasizes the cultivation of students' global perspectives, transdisciplinary abilities, and comprehensive qualities. The sharing of experts, scholars, and educators on the forum made me realize the core concepts and practical methods of IB education.

In addition, the interactive sessions on the forum have also benefited me a lot. I have the opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences with other outstanding IB educators. These exchanges have made me realize the complexity and diversity of education, as well as how we can better meet the needs of students and promote their comprehensive development.

In the forum hosted by PIEP, many guests gathered and participated actively. They communicated with our hosts even after the forum. We lead the trend instead of following the trend because we are outstanding! I am truly proud to be a PIEPer.

The tight schedule came to an end in the spark of new thinking. Before leaving, looking back at that big and intelligent campus, it seemed to take me back to my student days, listening, reflecting, and striving for greater progress, searching for the most suitable answer to the questionnaire of "becoming an educator"!



In this process of absorption, integration, and innovation, PIEP will collectively promote the healthy development of IB PYP education in China, providing children with international, personalized, and high-quality preschool education that inspires creativity.


在这种吸收、融合和创新的过程中,PIEP将共同推动中国的IB PYP教育健康发展,为孩子们提供国际化、个性化启发式的高质量学前教育。
