我在学校参加过的烘焙社，AICMUN让我印象非常深刻，其次是我们自己创建了乐队的社团。这个经历让我跟很多不同年级的朋友相识，互相交流自己喜欢的音乐风格，因为这个宝贵的社团经历我才得以找到大学文书的突破口～

在AIC的三年生活里, 我变得越来越独立了，尤其在生活管理方面，我可以更好地照顾自己了；在学习上，感谢AIC给了我很多课余时间和空间帮助我完成音乐作品和IB的内容。

I have participated in the baking club of AIC, the AICMUN was something that impressed me most, followed by the club where we created the band ourselves. These experiences allowed me to meet many friends of different grades and exchange my favorite musical styles with each other. Because of this precious club experience, I was able to find a breakthrough in application of my personal statement~

In the three years of AIC's life, I have learnt to become more independent, especially in life and time management, as in I can take better care of myself in terms of study.  Thanks to AIC for giving me some spare time and to assist me to complete my music works and IB content.

我申请的专业有计算机音乐（Computer Music）/音乐技术（Music Technology） /现代作曲与音乐制作（Contemporary Writing and Production），重点申请的学校有独立的音乐学院，其中也有一些综合性大学的音乐部门。其中我最喜欢的是伯克利音乐学院和约翰霍普金斯大学的皮博迪音乐学院，选择它们是因为它们是美国非常好的两所音乐学院，而且院校内有很好的音乐氛围，studio设备和很有经验的老师们，我想去认识更多喜欢音乐的朋友，互相激发灵感。加上我自己本身特别喜欢波士顿和马里兰州，这让我对两所大学有了更浓厚的兴趣。

I applied are Computer Music/Music Technology/Contemporary Writing and Production as my major study. The schools I mainly apply to are independent music colleges, and also some comprehensive universities with Music school. My favorite schools are Berklee College of Music and Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, the reason I chose them was because they are the two most popular music colleges in the United States, and there is a good music atmosphere at the school, moreover, advanced equipment, and experienced professors. I want to meet more musical friends and be inspired by them. In addition, I myself particularly liked Boston and Maryland state of the US, which is also a reason which makes me more interested in both colleges.

我的托福是在DP1下考的，所以个人推荐在DP1完成雅思/托福。虽然我的分数没有其他同学那么突出，但在我申请的学校里都够用，我就努力将时间浓缩到三个月准备。对于提高分数的话，建议是多多静心看题目，多用英语和别人沟通；如果感兴趣的话，可以像我一样在听歌或者看剧的时候发现自己不会的单词，记在vocab cards上，或者跟着角色一起念台词也是不错的选择～平时学习的话，我可能就是完成老师给到的作业，合理安排时间做作品集和练习乐理/视唱练耳等面试需要的内容，考试前多记一些笔记巩固。

我在文书中大部分写的都是自己的社团经历和音乐制作过程中的想法。其实，最重要的是去写你自己真正喜欢的东西，更可贵的是你内心对于这份专业的责任与真诚；我相信，如果你将你的诚意和爱心都表现在文书里，大学一定会相信并支持你的！除了内心的真诚与外，我觉得对于社会的责任感也很重要。无论未来大家投入到什么专业中，保持一颗善良感恩的心，相信大学也一样会看到你！

My TOEFL was taken in DP1, I strongly recommend people to complete IELTS/TOEFL in DP1 which makes life much easier.  Although my scores are not as outstanding, they are sufficient for the schools I applied.  To work on TOEFL, I tried to condense the time into three months of preparation. For improving the score, I would read the questions more carefully and communicate with others in English; you can always find words that you do not understand when listening to songs or watching dramas, write them down on vocab cards, that is what I do for my English. I also read the lines of the drama together with the characters, it is actually quite interesting.  I would always just simply complete the homework given by the teacher, then reasonably arrange the time to do the portfolio and practice music theory/solfeggio and other content required for the interview, and take some more notes before the exam to consolidate.

My own club experience is the most things I wrote in my personal statement and perhaps some ideas from the music-making process. In fact, the most important thing is to write what you like most, and the responsibility and sincerity for this profession; I always believe if you could express your sincerity and love in your essay, the university will definitely believe and support you! In addition to the sincerity of your heart, I think the sense of responsibility to the society is also very important. No matter what major you invest in in the future, keep a kind and grateful heart, and I believe the university will lay hand on you as well!

在拿到多个offer的时候，我会着重考虑专业风格和设施设备问题，比如你想就读的专业在这个学校里是否能给予你学术和技术上的全面支持；还有的话，我会比较在意自己专业里是否有喜欢的教授。其次非常重要的是学校的地理位置与食宿的环境等。只有生活和学习上都舒心才是最重要的。还有很重要的一点是关于你真正喜欢哪里，想去做什么，不要因为外界的因素而让你否认自己喜欢的地方甚至是梦校！

When i get multiple offers, I was focus on professional style and facilities, as in whether this major could bring me full support of comprehensive academic and technical aid.  On the other hand, an admirable professor is just as important to me. One other thing I would concern would be a comfortable life of study such as a good location of the school, and the quality of meals. Finally and most importantly, do not give up your dream school because of any external factors!
