Nishi Arachchilage will be the first student to take an exam in Public Speaking. For this exam, students must write and deliver two four-minute speeches. In addition, they are assessed on the quality of their address and delivery skills.   Nishi, who has previously taken LAMDA Acting exams, said, "For a change, I wanted to try out public speaking, to think about presenting in different contexts".

Kenny Xie and Delia Djobo from IGCSE2 will be taking Shakespeare and Acting exams. They performed their monologues to great acclaim at the recent language day event. Delia commented, "Just when I think I know everything, something comes up to help me learn more about theatre; it has been an enjoyable experience".

Reige and Delia will perform one of their duologues at the House of Entertainment performance in school this Friday morning. Reige commented: "It felt amazing to work with my friend Delia and we had a wonderful experience doing our duologue".

Sally had this to say, "This is my second time taking a LAMDA exam. Compared with Grade 5, I feel more challenged. For example, we need to answer questions about breathing techniques and how to apply these in performance. That is something I haven't thought about before. This exam is a good opportunity for me to accumulate experience."  Grade 6 students need to present monologues from different periods in theatre history.
