On July 12, the Guangzhou high school entrance examination conducted the first batch of planned enrollment (Zhongkao examinations). We wish all the candidates best of luck and hope that they get admitted to their ideal schools. Application Procedure

PART-1

预约参观学校

Make an appointment to visit the school;

PART-2

提交填写完整的入学申请表

Submit a completed application form;

PART-3

参加入学考试,包括笔试(数学、英语)和英语面试


Take the entrance exam in Mathematics and English, and an interview (in English);

PART-4

学校将于考试后两周内以电子邮件和电话形式告知申请人录取情况,被录取的学生需要在一周内支付保证金以保留入学资格。


School will inform applicants of the admission status within two weeks, applicants are informed via email and a phone call, and admitted students need to pay deposit within one week to retain their entrance qualification.

        When I first arrived at AIC, what surprised me most was the diversification of extracurricular activities in the school. Comparing with the school systems, AIC had ample opportunities for me to participate in various activities, and both my leadership and execution skills were exercised. At the same time, participating in various competitions organized by the college system gives me more sense of team honor and belonging. In addition, AIC attaches great importance to cultivating students' self-discipline and self-learning ability, for every day we have a certain amount of personal discretionary time, which can be flexibly used to improve or relax ourselves, thereby enhancing self-management awareness and improving learning efficiency.

        I think AIC has provided me with a pluralistic and inclusive environment, it also gave me the opportunity to learn with students from all over the world and share unique knowledge and insights.       参观AIC的时候,我一下就被六楼浓厚的艺术氛围征服了。随后在与校长和老师的面谈中,我充分了解到了AIC的IB课程远不止于拿到好成绩那么简单。它看重及培养的是学生们积极探究的兴趣、懂得关爱的善心、勇于尝试的动力以及平衡生活与学业的能力。这种与我初中时截然不同的教育理念让我对AIC-IB课程产生了极大的兴趣。

        When I visited AIC, I was conquered by the strong artistic atmosphere on the art floor. In subsequent interviews with the Head of School and teachers, I fully understood that AIC's IB program is much more than just getting good grades: it values and cultivates students' interest in active inquiry, caring kindness, motivation to try, and to balance life and study. This educational philosophy is so much different to my junior high school which made me very interested in AIC-IB.

       AIC有很多来自世界各国的老师和学生,为学生提供了良好的语言环境;学生人数不多,小班教学的方式能够让学生离老师更近,也更容易接受学习的内容;课外活动丰富,有足够的时间让学生参与课外活动和喜爱的体育项目。AIC会邀请很多名校的招生办老师来面对面给学生介绍学校,包括UBC,新南威尔士和华威等名校。对我来说,我也能够更直观的了解到很多大学,在招生办老师的介绍和讲解过后,也让自己清楚更适合哪些大学,他们对我的优势。此外,AIC有专门的升学团队,每当我遇到什么问题的时候,我的升学导师Vivian Liang都会很耐心,负责的指导我完成大学的申请,也为我提供了很多相关的帮助。

        AIC has many teachers and students from all over the world, providing a good language environment for students;Small class teaching can make students closer to teachers and easier to adsorb the content of learning; There are abundant extracurricular activities and sports, there is also enough time for me to participate in them.AIC invites many University Admissions Officer from worldwide for students to consult face to face, including famous schools such as UBC, The University of New South Wales and The University of Warwick. For me, I can also understand many universities more intuitively. After the introduction and explanation from the councilor, I understand which universities are more suitable for me and their advantages to me. In addition, AIC has a councilor team. Whenever I have any problems, my enrollment councilor Vivian Liang will be very patient and responsible to guide me to complete my college applications, and also provide me with a lot of relevant help.

       我是在高一阶段来到AIC的。在AIC的三年,除了英语能力的提升,我还提高了时间管理的能力。作为一个爱玩的人,我会因为出去玩耽误了学习的时间。但是,面对IB繁忙的课业,我逐渐学会了合理安排时间,学的时候好好学,玩的时候好好玩。同时,AIC鼓励学生独立学习的教学方式,更是提升了我自我探索,自我学习的能力。而这些能力对大学的学习尤为重要。

        I joined AIC at IGCSE2. During my three years at AIC, in addition to improving my English communication skills, I have also improved my time and self-management skills. I changed from being a person who loved entertainment (would delay study until last minute) to someone who could manage her time better. I have learned to know when to study and when to play and be a more balanced student. IB is hard but it also helps with skills development and getting to an awesome university. AIC's teaching method of encouraging students to think critically and to become independent learners has enhanced my self-exploration and self-learning ability. These abilities are especially important for university study; I feel confident about venturing outside of China and studying in a brand new place all by myself.

       我9年级时想寻找一个更有活力,更适合我的国际学校而找到了我的朋友Irene,再经过一些了解后来到学校参加考试,10年级的时候加入了亚加达国际预科AIC这个大家庭。

首先,我感觉AIC的氛围非常好,而且时间安排相对自由,大家可以去做一些除了学习以外的活动,扩展兴趣爱好;其次,我比较喜欢相对自由和快乐的环境,这使我感受到AIC的与众不同。

         When I was in grade 9, I wanted to find a more dynamic and suitable international school for myself. After some research I took the enter exams for the AIC, and I made it to the AIC big family in PDP4, I also found my best friend Irene here.

First of all, the atmosphere of AIC is perfect for me, and the schedule is relatively free. Everyone can do some activities other than study to expand their hobbies; secondly, I prefer a relatively free and happy environment, which makes me feel the difference of AIC.

      初来AIC时,我的英语水平并不高,有时甚至不能完全理解课堂上的内容。然而,在身边同学和老师的帮助下,我逐渐能理解课堂内容,甚至是输出自己的观点。课堂上对于全球事务的讨论也激起了我对全球政治、历史等方面的知识的兴趣,在学习过程中不断朝着成为全球公民的目标迈进。AIC融洽的学习氛围也使我变得更加乐观和健谈。

        When I first came to AIC, my English was not very good, and sometimes I could not even fully understand the content of the class. However, with the help of my classmates and teachers surrounding me, I can gradually understand the content of the class and even output my own opinions. The discussion of global affairs in the classroom also aroused my interest in knowledge of global politics, history, etc., and continued to move towards the goal of becoming a global citizen in the learning process. AIC's harmonious learning atmosphere also made me more optimistic and talkative.

      在初三时,我与家人就开始了解国际课程和国际学校的各方面情况,对比了AP/AL/IB课程体系后,我更倾向于IB课程,经过更深入了解后,我对IB的全人教育、全面发展这种教育理念很认同,决定选择IB国际学校。我对AIC相对自由的学习环境、课程设置等印象较深,因此选择了AIC.

        In the third year of junior high school, my family and I began to search all aspects of international courses and international schools. After comparing the AP/A-Level/IB curriculum system, I was more inclined to IB courses. After a deeper understanding, I agreed with the educational concept of holistic education and all-round development of IB and decided to choose IB international schools. I was deeply impressed by the relatively free learning environment and curriculum of AIC, so I chose AIC.

      我想找到一所更加重视艺术教育的国际学校,因此选择了AIC。在首次参观校园的时候,AIC的艺术学科楼层与教室让我十分满意,图书馆的装横、各种艺术装饰品也让我感受到校园内的艺术气氛。其次,相对于AP,Aleve课程,AIC所提供的IB课程也更适合当时还未确定去何国家留学的我。

       I wanted to find an international school that paid more attention to art education, so I chose AIC. When I visited the campus for the first time, I was so impressed with the art floor and classroom of AIC. The horizontal decoration of the library and various art decorations also made me feel the artistic atmosphere in the campus. Secondly, compared with AP and A-leve courses, the IB courses provided by AIC were also more suitable for me who had not determined which country to study in at that time.
