CAS算是AIC的特色，学生对CAS社团的安排有更大的自由度，且学校也会提供资金支持。MUN模拟联合国社团、乐队社团都对我的个人提升和升学起到一定的帮助，这些都有利于学生的背景提升，这些经历也被我写进了文书中。

CAS is a feature of AIC which allows students to have greater freedom in the arrangement of CAS clubs, the school will also provide financial support. Model United Nations Club (MUN) and band club have helped me in my personal promotion and further study, which are conducive to the improvement of students' background, and these experiences have also been written into the document by me.

IB学习的繁重压力让我懂得更好的安排自己的时间，老师们的高自由度管控与灵活的教学方式让我明白如何自主学习。此外，AIC是一个大社区，我结交了许多朋友，因此我的社交能力，人际关系管理能力有了很大提升。这些都为日后进入大学、进入社会打下了良好的基础。

The pressure of IB learning has helped me become better at managing my time. The teachers' teaching methods and encouragement have also made me understand how to study independently. In addition, AIC is a large community, and I have made many friends, so my social skills and interpersonal relationship management skills have been greatly improved. All these have laid a good foundation for entering universities and society in the future.

于我而言，阿思丹商赛是印象深刻的。那是我第一次在短短两天内完成一个品牌VI设计及一套手机界面的设计。除了对个人的挑战外，这对我们的团队也是一项艰巨的任务。我们没有任何的比赛经验，但我们必须在短时间内完成所有的赛前准备，例如演讲及战略策划等。因此，和队友们的配合以及任务的分配都是至关重要的。

As far as I am concerned, the ASDAN Business Simulation competition was impressive. It was the first time that I completed a brand design and a set of mobile phone interface design in just two days. In addition to personal challenges, this was also a difficult task for our team. We didn’t have any competition experience, but we had to complete all pre competition preparations in a short time, such as speech and strategic planning. Therefore, the experience also helped learn cooperation with teammates, teamwork and communication skills.

我申请的专业是Graphic Design（平面设计）、Communication Design（视觉传达设计），两者其实为同一个专业，只是每个学校的专业名称有所不同。其主要申请方向均为美国院校（ACCD, MICA, Pratt, SVA, SCAD, Parsons, RISD）及少数英国院校。在几所美国院校中，我最感兴趣的学校是ACCD, RISD与Parsons。这三所院校有所不同，RISD是偏向纯艺术类方向的设计院校，而ACCD与Parsons都是商业类设计院校，并且分别位于加州与纽约，具有优越的地理位置，因此有丰富的实习和就业机会。但就Graphic Design/Communication Design的专业而言，ACCD的专业性更强，强调设计师这一职业本身，而Parsons则是结合了商业性和实验性，让学生在学习的过程中探索更多的可能性。三所学校都有优秀的师资，绝大多数老师就是设计行业工作者；学校有时也会请来优秀的设计师进行演讲，这对所有初涉设计行业的学生而言都是绝佳的了解机会。

The majors I applied for are graphic design and communication design. They are actually the same major, but the major names of each school are different. Its main application directions are American institutions (ACCD, MICA, Pratt, SVA, SCAD, Parsons, RISD) and a few British institutions. Among several American colleges and universities, the ones I was most interested in were ACCD, RISD and Parsons. These three institutions are different, RISD is a design institution that prefers the direction of pure art, while ACCD and Parsons are both commercial design institutions, which are located in California and New York respectively. They have a superior geographical location; they have rich internships and employment opportunities. However, as far as graphic design/communication design is concerned, ACCD is more professional, emphasizing the profession of designer itself, while Parsons combines commerciality and experimentation, allowing students to explore more possibilities in the process of learning. The three schools have excellent teachers, most of whom are engage in the design industry; the school sometimes invites excellent designers to give speeches, which is a great opportunity for all students who are new to the design industry.

我认为标化成绩最好在DP1时就要准备好。如果非要等到申请开始再进行考试，你可能会因为压力过大而崩溃哦～我认为提升分数没有什么好技巧。针对写作、阅读这样的板块，只能说勤能补拙吧，因为词汇和语法就是基础。取巧一点的方式就是专注培养自己擅长的板块，尽量用这个板块提高平均分。当然，前提是你有自己擅长的板块才能启用这个计划。

I think the best time for standardized examination should be ready at DP1. You may collapse if you take the exam when the application starts, because there will be too much pressure for you to burden.  I don't think there is any good skill to improve your score because for writing and reading, it can only be said that diligence can make up for weakness, vocabulary and grammar are the foundation. A clever way is to focus on cultivating the plate you are good at, and try to use this plate to improve the average score. Of course, the premise is that you have your own plate to be good at to enable this plan.

对于申请大学时的个人文书, 在我的观点, 流露自己的真情实感与热爱但又不写废话才可以让你更有可能被录取。其实，文书中提及的各种活动的最终目的都是一样的，就是为了让大学看见你有经验和能力、有持之以恒的热情。所以，不要写流水账，专注去刻画这个活动如何影响着你对所选择专业的了解与喜爱。其实，写个人文书也需要依照学校的偏好写。所以，在描写活动、突出自身优势时可以根据学校的喜好针对性的去选择要写的内容，这样才能让招生官在第一时间获得更多“有效信息”。

For personal statement when applying for University, in my opinion is to reveal  your true feelings and love without writing nonsense can make you more likely to be admitted. In fact, the ultimate purpose of all activities mentioned in the document is the same, which is to let the University see that you have experience, ability and perseverance. So, don't write a daily account, focus on describing how this activity affects your understanding and love of your chosen major. In fact, writing personal documents also needs to be written according to the preferences of the school. Therefore, when describing activities and highlighting their own advantages, we can choose the content to be written according to the preferences of the school, so that the admissions officer can get more "effective information" at the first time.

在common essay中，我主要分享了ASDAN商赛等活动。其中，我重点描写了自己对设计师这一职业的了解程度的改变和自身心态的变化，以此来突出我自身的情绪调节能力可以使我胜任“设计师”这一职位，以及我有能力站在服务者的一方为客户提供服务。我一直认为设计师在各种合作或活动上都并非主动的一方，大多时候都需要根据他人的意愿提供专业的服务。我申请的大多数院校都是偏向商业类的设计院校，所以大学也非常注重培养学生的设计师思维。因此，将自己对专业和职业的理解传达给学校非常重要。

In common essay, I mainly shared asdan business competition and other activities. Among them, I focused on the change of my understanding of the profession of designer and the change of my mentality, so as to highlight my own emotional regulation ability, which can make me qualified for the position of "designer", and I have the ability to stand on the side of the server to provide services for customers. I have always believed that designers are not the active party in all kinds of cooperation or activities. Most of the time, they need to provide professional services according to the wishes of others. Most of the institutions I applied for are design institutions that prefer commercial ones, so universities also pay great attention to cultivating students' designer thinking. Therefore, it is very important to convey your understanding of major and occupation to the school.

最后，在拿到多个offer的时候, 我通过地理位置、就业趋势、师资、学校的价值观念、课程设置等多重角度决定选择哪个学校。其实我认为从学校的价值观念以及师资的评价去做选择是最重要的。如果学校的文化、观念与你自身并非志同道合，那么你在未来的4年可能会感到不顺心。从对老师的评价则可以看出老师的偏好，因此，综合自身学习方法与老师教学偏好考量也可以帮助你选择到一个最合适自己的学校。

When I found that I got multiple offers, I had to decide which school to choose from multiple perspectives, such as geographical location, employment trends, teachers, school values, curriculum and so on. In fact, I think it is the most important to choose from the values of the school and the evaluation of teachers. If the culture and concepts of the school are not like-minded with yourself, you may feel unhappy in the next four years. From the evaluation of teachers, we can see the preferences of teachers. Therefore, considering your own learning methods and teachers' teaching preferences can also help you choose the most suitable school for yourself.
