阳春三月，我们的世界被绿意占据，花朵微笑、杨柳抬头，还有那不绝于耳的虫鸣。但世界的其他角落是否也在上演同样的故事呢？位于南美洲的阿塔卡马沙漠已经百年未曾降雨，新西兰奥克兰在不久前的一个月被飓风袭击，正洪水四溢，还有那多地频发的地震与火山爆发......这些截然不同的画面，似乎都在向我们诉说“其实地球并没有我们所见的那般健康”。

中山市阿丁莱幼儿园始终将IB学习者的培养目标融入到课堂和园区活动当中，希望让孩子深刻明白环保意识与关注全球问题的重要性。我们欲通过植树节这一特殊节日，带领孩子们亲自参与到解决环境问题的行动中，并成为环境保护的积极影响者之一！

带上小树苗、种子，拎起几把得力的铁锹，孩子们在老师带领下来到了三楼专属的植物园。从分工、填土、种植、浇水，到标记、收拾，孩子们在植树的每个环节都表现的井井有条，向老师们呈现出火热的劳动大场面！

每棵大树都曾是一粒种子，我们也相信每位能够驰骋世界、为时代带来改变的全球公民，也应是从小开始接受正确理念和价值观的培育。因此无论大小节日，中山阿丁莱始终坚持利用仪式感满满的活动，帮助孩子们参与到与世界息息相关的挑战中，为他们塑造一段段非凡难忘的经历。

In March, our world is overrun with greenery, flowers smile, willows raise their heads and we can hear the incessant chirping from insects. But is the same story unfolding in other corners of the world? The Atacama Desert in South America has not received rain for a century, Auckland, New Zealand was hit by a hurricane not long ago and is flooding, and there are frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in many places of the world ...... These very different images seem to tell us that "the Earth is not as healthy as we think it is".

At ACZS(Kindergarten), we have always incorporated the goal of developing IB learners into our classroom and campus activities, hoping to impress upon our children the importance of environmental awareness and concern for global issues. Through this special festival, we want to lead the children to get personally involved in solving environmental problems and become one of the positive influencers of environmental protection!

Armed with saplings, seeds and a few suitable shovels, the children were led by their teachers to the exclusive botanical garden on the third floor. From dividing the work, filling the soil, planting, watering, marking and tidying up, the children were well organised in every step of the planting process, presenting the teachers with a great scene of work!

For the children at ACZS(Kindergarten), environmental awareness has long been a part of their daily life in the school. Starting with water conservation, secondary recycling and reducing the use of plastic products, the students have been encouraged by their teachers to join the "Earth Care Team".

For this time, our children even started preparing for the Arbor Day event a month in advance. The younger children learnt about different plants and planting techniques through flash cards and picture book reading to prepare them for their future environmental activities. The elder children had an exciting exploration of 'nutrients needed for plant growth' through group discussions and interdisciplinary approaches.
