About CBFS

长沙彼一米森林学校(Changsha BeeMee Forest School，简称CBFS)是耕耘本土、师资雄厚、文化多元、面向世界的K12一贯制国际化未来学校。自2022年9月开学，我们以“激励每个人不断突破自我，让社会更美好”为办学愿景，在执行国家课程的基础上，创造性地融合国际先进教育理念、教学策略和评价方式，旨在为年龄在6岁至18岁的学生提供高质量的国际化基础教育及高品质教育资源，致力于培养深谙中华文化之美兼具开放、追求卓越与国际情怀的世界公民。

Changsha BeeMee Forest School (CBFS) is a local, culturally diverse and world-oriented K12 school of the future, filled with highly-qualified staff. Since the opening of the school in September 2022, with the vision of "To inspire commitment to personal excellence for the betterent of society", based on the implementation of the national curriculum, we have creatively integrated advanced international education concepts, teaching strategies and assessment methods, aiming to provide students aged 6 to 18 with high-quality international basic education and high-quality education resources, dedicated to cultivating a deep and profound understanding of the world.

BeeMee Curriculum System（BCS）

彼一米以国家课程标准为核心，融入国际先进的课程理念及IB的课程框架，以空间探索STEAM为特色的融合BCS课程体系，包括核心课程、探究课程及特色课程三大板块。彼一米在日常教学中将这三类课程有机打通，通过PBL项目制、探究学习、跨学科、中英双语沉浸式开展课程，形成彼一米特有的教学模式，为学生提供独一无二的国际化全人教育。

Taking the national curriculum standard as the core, integrating international advanced curriculum concepts and the IB curriculum, enhancing BCS curriculum system featuring space exploration STEAM, which consists of three major divs: the core curriculum, the inquiry curriculum, and BCS featured curriculum. BeeMee organically integrates these three types of courses in daily teaching, and through PBL project system, inquiry learning, interdisciplinary, Chinese and English bilingual immersion courses, BeeMee’s unique teaching model is formed to provide students with a unique international whole-person education.

核心课程严格执行国家课程标准，为学生建立基本的知识架构。同时以知识为载体，让学生在学习的过程认识自我、社会及世界，树立基本的价值观与文化认同。

探究课程是在核心课程的基础上，以主题单元探究、概念驱动、跨学科及超学科等形式开展的研究型课程。该类课程高度融合了以卫星制作及空间探索的STEAM元素，帮助学生多维度地理解所学的知识，并与现实世界建立连接，“发现”未知的世界，提高综合能力，激发学习的热情。

The Inquiry Curriculum is a research-based curriculum that builds on the core curriculum in the form of thematic units of inquiry, concept-driven, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary programmes. These programmes are highly integrated with the STEAM elements of satellite production and space exploration, helping students to understand what they have learnt in multiple dimensions, connect with the real world,"discover" the unknown, improve their overall competence, and stimulate their passion for learning.

The Featured Curriculum is an expansion and extension of the core curriculum. The school provides students with a wide variety of extracurricular classes and club activities covering the four major areas of humanities, arts, science and sports by making use of on-campus, off-campus and even global resources to help students broaden their horizons, cultivate their 21st century extracurricular skills, and enhance their understanding of society and their sense of responsibility.

彼一米的“学院”由来自各年级的学生及老师组成。现有“居里学院”“爱因斯坦学院”“牛顿学院”“屠呦呦学院”等四大学院。学校通过组织学院间日常德育行为积分竞赛，各类体育项目、才艺表演、辩论赛和社交活动等等，形成良性竞争关系，增加学生的集体感和归属感。

The "House" of BeeMee consists of students and teachers from all grades. There are four colleges: "Curie House", "Einstein House", "Newton House" and "Tu Youyou House". There are four houses. The school organises inter-house competitions on daily moral behaviour points, various sports, talent shows, debates and social activities, etc. to form healthy competition and increase students' sense of community and belonging.

Mentorship

每位学生配对一位导师。导师将深入了解他们的学生，提供一对一的全方位人文心智关怀和额外的学术或个人全面发展的整体规划和指导，包括学业、心理、生活、社交、升学等方面。

Each student will follow a mentor. Mentors will get to know their students well and provide one-on-one holistic humanistic care and additional holistic planning and guidance for overall academic or personal development, including academics, psychology, life, social life, and further studies.

学校忠实执行国家“新课标”对于学生评估的指导建议，并引进IB(International Baccalaureate) 的评估的策略，采用过程性评估与总结性评估相结合。在每个探究单元或项目学习前就让学生了解评估细则与标准，使每个学生清晰奋斗目标，真正做到让评估促进学生的学习与成长。

The school has faithfully implemented the national "New Curriculum" guidelines for student assessment and introduced the International Baccalaureate (IB) assessment strategy, which combines process and summative assessment. Students are made aware of the assessment rules and standards before each inquiry unit or project, so that each student is clear about their goals and objectives, and assessment is truly used to promote students' learning and growth.

BeeMee focused on our goal from the beginning and planned the campus design based on the BCS curriculum needs, and built the campus around the purpose of "hollistic student-centered learning". The campus planning is based on the design concepts of "close to nature", "ecological sustainability", and is "people-oriented", innovatively integrating multi-dimensional educational space, supporting students' academic, sports, and artistic needs, and striving to create a unique, dynamic, and peaceful learning, living, and work environment for each teacher and student.
