Children feel the care from teachers the moment they enter the campus. The school principals, Mr. Jing and Mr. Bunting, teachers and security guards welcome them at the school gate. Warm greetings, temperature taking, and ID verification together build a safety network for school security.

Classes begin with high standards and strict requirements. The teachers make sound preparations and students are very attentive. They are curious and expectant, looking forward to the new semester.
Our goal for this semester is clear. Teachers and students will work together to build an academically rigorous and holistic authentic IB learning experience.
We have a 30-minute break to let children release their energy and enjoy health. The quiet playground turns lively during the break. Students play football and basketball and go running. Returning to school gives kids so much joy. They fill the playground with laughter and vivacity.
Parents care about the diet of their children at school. We have two focuses this semester:
Food security and sanitation. Health and safety are the top priority during the epidemic. After disinfection to hands, students dine in a staggered routine. They also understand the importance of not wasting food and table manners.
Nutrition. We offer delicious and diversified food that includes Chinese food, western food and snacks. Students will enjoy a healthy international food culture.
Reading and laughter are heard in the clean classroom in the afternoon. Students are absorbed in classes. They have new plans and goals for the new semester. They try to make more progress.
OCAC strives to build a dynamic learning environment in which each student can take part in different classes and activities. This is our goal of developing the whole child.
In-school study and after-school activities are both important to children’s growth. Students’ manners, habits, knowledge and ability developed outside of the school should be integrated with in-school learning.
In the new semester, our school offers after-school services, including tutoring on Chinese, math, and English and homework tutoring. Students can improve their academic learning, establish sound learning habits, and build essential learning skills. Being hard-working and balanced in their learning shows that they are determined to “be the best of myself”.
Boarders return to the warm dormitory at night. This is home for them. They wash and do their cleaning under the guidance of teachers. They will get used to boarding at school and make new friends.
We offer 30 CCAs related to PE, art, humanity, and science and will also design courses according to the need of the students.
We also keep records of the students’ moral behavior, making morality our focus in education.
In terms of academics, in particular, we offer such after-school services as a promotion program on Chinese, math, and English.

This is the first day of the autumn semester of 2020 in OCAC, which is filled with hope, love and respect. The children will start a new journey in their growth. We wish them to have a fruitful and happy semester.
