2020年的夏天是莱克顿机器人战队首次参赛，在疫情的影响下，FIRST科技挑战赛改为线上评选。因热爱走在一起的学生们没有因变化而不知所措，他们积极应对，没有任何参考，一切只能靠自己去探索、摸索。在准备了技术、作品、程序、策略等内容后，学生们又开始紧张地准备线上答辩。历经种种挑战，他们不负期望与汗水，踏出了在FIRST科技挑战赛上的第一步，并赢得了二等奖。
这是小小的一步，却是一次大胆的尝试，至此，莱克顿人真正踏上了科技赛事的征程。

In the summer of 2020, there was an exciting news -- the students of Lucton won the second prize in the FIRST Tech Challenge! This is the first time that students have participated in the competition, which was changed to online voting due to the epidemic. This is a new experience, and all of it was the first time for students to explore. Techniques, works, procedures, strategies, and online defense had been fully prepared by students, all of which are the first step in the FTC.
本以为2020年的赛事会就此落下帷幕，在9月，学生们得知FIRST科技挑战赛将在上海举行线下形式的邀请赛。为了弥补今年未能参加线下赛的遗憾，更是希望与其他学校面对面的竞争，交流。莱克顿机器人战队毫不犹豫地应邀，报名参加该赛事。
这是莱克顿学子第一次参加线下形式的FIRST科技挑战赛，一举夺得“冠军联盟”奖，莱克顿学子在科技实战赛事上，就此踏出了坚实且辉煌的一步。
回首莱克顿人参赛的路程，不禁为他们感到骄傲，一路的坎坷见证了真正的莱克顿精神。

To make up for having to compete online only before, the offline 2020 FIRST Tech Challenge—Shanghai Invitational Competition was held in September, which Luctonians were so excited to participate in. As the first time to take part in offline format, we are proud to announce that our students won the "Champions League" award.
9月20日比赛日，带着忐忑的心情，学生们来到了科技挑战赛的现场。然而，万事开头难，这次竞赛并非是一帆风顺的。
在比赛初期，突发状况，由于现场技术问题，机器断连，无法操控，使莱克顿本来较好的排名瞬间落后，不过学生们没有放弃，努力解决问题，继续比赛。落后的重压，让学生更加紧张，操作中出现了失误。在休息时间，学生们进行了交流和反思，同时，他们也在观察其他强队，分析他们的优点，积极学习。实战比赛是宝贵的经验，莱克顿学子抓紧了一切学习的机会。

On 20th September, at the beginning of the Competition, Lucton team faced many unexpected situations. Due to on-site technical problems, the machine was disconnected and it was uncontrollable, which seriously affected the team ranking. However, the students did not give up, tried to solve the problem and continued the competition.
根据赛程规定，排名前四的队伍可以选择两个战队作为自己的队友，组成联盟，共同参加接下来的比赛。莱克顿的机器人战队的实力还是得到了认可，被康德Smashers队选中，赢得了继续比赛的“门票”。
如同过山车般跌宕起伏的过程，让所有人都捏了一把汗，一直在场内外加油的家长们、老师们激动不已。这无疑是一次宝贵的机会，而常言道：机会是留给有准备的人的。
莱克顿人一直做足了准备。

According to the rules, the top four teams could choose two teams as their teammates to form a league and participate in the following competitions together. Lucton team was recognized for their expertise, selected by Smashers team, and won the "ticket" to continue the competition. Parents and teachers were thrilled by this opportunity, and as the saying goes: Chance favors only the prepared mind. And Luctonians have always been well prepared.
接下来的比赛赚足了眼球，康德Smashers队、WITIEKO队、莱克顿机器人战队三支队伍组成的联盟将两两合作与其他联盟比赛。莱克顿机器人战队与WITIEKO队的合作十分默契，赢下了对决，贡献一分，联盟以2:0的成绩赢下半决赛，成功杀进决赛。
在决赛中，莱克顿学生们面对的是包玉刚Treeman树人队和平和双语PH队，两只强队组合，这无疑是十分强劲的对手。莱克顿机器人战队与WITIEKO队各自操控机器，合作、对接十分流畅。以精彩的表现，取得了99的高分，赢下比赛。当主办方宣布成绩，三支队伍赢得了“冠军联盟”的荣誉时，大家激动地欢呼、雀跃。

What follows is an exciting competition in which a league of three teams, including Smashers team from Shanghai Concord Bilingual School, WITIEKO team and Lucton team, teamed up in pairs to compete with other leagues. Lucton worked very successfully with WITIEKO to win the game and contributed a point to the final with a 2-0 win.
In the final, the Luctonians faced two strong teams, Treeman from YK Pao School and PH team from Shanghai Pinghe Bilingual School. Lucton and WITIEKO, operating their own machines, worked together to score 99 points and win the game. It was exciting when a league of three teams was announced to win the "Champions League" award.

回首整个赛事过程：
在出现故障时，莱克顿人能冷静应对；

在绝地翻盘赢下荣誉时，
莱克顿人亦不骄不躁，复盘学习。
这一切，都是莱克顿精神最好的写照，
是胜过千言万语的证明。
值得一提的是，
莱克顿机器人战队选择用“1708”
英国莱克顿总校成立的年份，作为队伍编号参赛。
于学生们而言，
学校是支持他们梦想强有力的后盾，
于莱克顿而言，
学生是学校的骄傲，
他们会将莱克顿的名字带到每一个赛场，
带到世界各地，而最重要的是留在他们心里，
因为所有的莱克顿人都有着共同的信念。
