I am sure that all students, parents and teachers will offer Carl a very warm welcome when he arrives officially after the New Year. He told me just yesterday that he is excited to begin teaching and to see first-hand the quality of the sketchbooks and art works that are now being seen across the school.

我相信全体师生与家长会十分欢迎Carl在春节后的到来。对于年后正式加入辰美并展开这里的教学工作，Carl感到非常激动。他也十分期待看到全校学生第一手的素写练习及艺术作品。

Carl is not only an artist working in a range of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, installations, ceramics, and 3D Design, but has also been the Head of Art Departments in schools such as Dulwich College and Nord Anglia during the past 12 years. His experience with many different types of curriculum and working with different mediums will be most helpful as we continue to develop the talents of our students, and challenge them to create exceptional works.  

作为一名艺术家，Carl涉足绘画，素描，雕塑，装置艺术，陶艺及3D设计等多项领域。在过去的12年中，他曾任职于德威，诺德安达学校的艺术部主管。他对不同课程体系的深刻理解以及丰富的跨行业经历会十分有助于培养学生的才华，从而鼓励他们创作出非凡的作品。

Although, he originally studied at Manchester Metropolitan University and St Martins in London, he has also studied Western and Chinese Art in Beijing. Along with the mediums above, Carl is also interested in photography, glass work, and is a master baker. Such a well-rounded approach to the Arts should help to inspire our students to think and develop likewise. Again, a warm welcome Carl!

Carl毕业于曼彻斯特城市大学及伦敦圣马丁艺术学院。他也曾在北京学习过西方及中国艺术。另外，Carl对摄影，玻璃工艺也很感兴趣。同时他也是一位烘焙大师。其对艺术领域的广泛了解有益于激发学生创作和思考的灵感。我们一起热烈欢迎Carl的加入。
