今年的书写对联活动我们有幸邀请到了东华高级中学的艺术组组长王乐老师。有着三十多年教学经验的他给大家带来了一场别开生面的书法讲座及书法体验活动。小学的同学学习了如何书写“福”字及四字对联，中学的同学学习了如何书写七言对联。有些同学还将书法练习与对联写作相结合，现场创作了自己的新年对联。

TWIS is honored to invite Mr. Wang, an art teacher at Tungwah Senior High School, as our Chinese calligraphy practice teacher. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, he has brought us an exclusive calligraphy lecture and experience. PYP students learned how to write the character of "福" ("Fortune") and four-character couplets. Our MYP students practiced writing seven-character couplets. What's more, some students also combined calligraphy practice with couplet writing and created their own New Year couplets during the session.

礼堂门前有一幅“牛”的壁画迎接我们，这表示我们在礼堂欢迎着大家的到来。春节联欢会集唱歌、跳舞、诗歌朗诵和角色扮演于一体，每一个学生都站在舞台上，给观众带来最衷心的祝福。联欢会的最后，老师们身着中国传统服装精彩亮相，给大家带来美妙的舞蹈表演！

TWIS非常感谢充满活力的中文组与音乐、舞蹈和视觉艺术老师合作，呈现了一场如此动人的表演。我们也很期待下一场的到来。

We are greeted by a mural drawing of a cow in front of the auditorium. This signaled that we were in for a treat! The Chinese New Year assembly was a delightful mix of singing, dancing, poetry recitation and role-play. It was wonderful to see every child at TWIS on stage – even their teachers danced and modeled traditional Chinese clothing!  

We are grateful to our dynamic Chinese department who collaborated with our dance, music and visual art teachers to produce such a delightful array of performances. We can’t wait for the next show!
