I am glad to announce our first Prefect Board in YWIES-GZ formed successfully, it would be a real challenge for our senior students, who were self-nominated or by teacher’s nomination. Unlike the prefects in the public schools, our prefects are mentoring other students, but not supervising other students.

我很高兴地宣布，广州耀华国际教育学校第一届领袖生团队成功成立。领袖生项目对于我们的中学生来说是一个真正的挑战，他们或是自荐或由老师提名。与公立学校的领袖生不同，我们的领袖生是指导帮助其他学生，而不是监督其他学生。

They are also part of the voice in our school by participating the school policy annual review. They are going to play an important role in our school, and their first challenge will be mentoring the new students joining us in semester 2. Wish them luck in 2021, and I will accompany and share different skills in leadership, problem solving and cooperation with them.

他们通过参与学校政策年度回顾发表声音和表达意见。领袖生团队将在学校中扮演重要的角色，他们的第一个挑战将是指导和帮助新学期加入广州耀华的新生。祝领袖生团队的同学们2021年好运，我会陪伴着他们，与他们分享领导力和解决问题方面的不同技能，一同合作。

I'm Bobo from year 12.

我是12年级的王歆瑜。

It is my honour to be in this position, and I'm willing to devote my time and ideas to the prefect team, helping to maintain collaboration among all prefects.

能担任这个女领袖生长这个职务是我的荣幸。我愿意把我的时间和想法奉献给领袖生团队，帮助所有的领袖生保持协作。

As a prefect, our responsibilities include being a mentor,  companying with new students till they get along at our school. Helping school and students together to manage school events as well. We also welcome to collect suggestions and feedbacks from students about the school’s current policies. We can discuss together and improve our learning environment.

 作为一个领袖生，我们的职责包括指导类工作，比如陪伴与帮助新生，直到他们在新校园的学习与生活感到舒适；帮助学校和学生一起管理校内活动。我们也欢迎学生对学校现行政策的任何建议或反馈，我们可以一起讨论和改善如何让校内的学习环境变的更好。

The prefect team has just officially formed, it still has lots of detailed work we need to focus.  In the future, we hope we can act as a bridge between school and students so that we can maintain an atmosphere in friendly cooperation, discipline, and unity in our school. 

 领袖生团队才刚刚正式成立，还有很多细节工作需要我们去专注。希望在未来，我们可以作为学校和学生之间的桥梁，使我们能够在学校里维持友好合作，纪律良好，团结互助的氛围。

I’m Jacky from Y12. It is my pleasure to be the first Head Boy of the Prefect. For those who are not familiar with the prefect, this is a new committee in our school, helping students to communicate with the teachers, as well as helping new students better adapt to our school. 

大家好，我是12年级的黄德恺。很荣幸成为第一届领袖生团队的男领袖生长。领袖生团队是我们学校一个新建立的组织，致力于促进学生和校方的沟通，帮助新同学适应学校生活。

For this year, I will mainly focus on improving overall learning experience and building a mutual assistance atmosphere in our school. Many of you may experience the following situations: finish all the homework 1 hour before the end of self study; having something I really passionated about but struggle to find people with the same interests in the school,etc. All the scenarios mentioned above are the dilemmas I will like to solve in this year. 

在这一年中，我会注重于提升学生在学校的整体学习体验，建立一个互帮互助的校园氛围。也许你们在学校中曾碰到以下情况：在晚自习结束前一个小时就完成了作业，剩下的时间无事可做；有自己非常投入的兴趣爱好却无法在学校中找到相同爱好的人等。我们将会在这一年中帮助解决类似以上的问题。

Prefect is a neutral group between students and teachers. We will act as the bridge between two sides, promote more communication that student’s will be heard by the teacher in terms of modifying policies, and teachers decision will be understood by the students. If you all have suggestion or issues related to school, please contact anyone of the prefects. We will devote our time to help you improve it, Thank you.
