LEH Foshan International School is excited to welcome three new teachers to join us this September. 

佛山市霍利斯国际学校非常高兴地宣布，今年九月份开学时将有三位新老师加入我们的大家庭。

Dr Chengming Xie joins LEH Foshan as a Teacher of Chinese. She has a PhD in Chinese Linguistics from Peking University and a Mandarin Chinese PGCE with EAL from the Institute of Education, University College London. 

谢成名博士以中文教师一职加入佛山LEH。谢博士拥有北京大学中国语言文学博士学位，英国伦敦大学学院中文（普通话）的教育学研究生证书以及英语非母语教学资格（PGCE with EAL）。

Dr Xie taught Chinese language and literature to both native speakers and foreigners in Beijing before she relocated to the UK, where she taught Mandarin to beginners, GCSE students and A Level to Chinese heritage speakers. Dr Xie had led a Chinese language and culture club in Oxford, teaching Chinese characters and classics to both foreign and heritage learners. 

谢博士曾在北京向中外学生教授中国语言和文学。之后，她在英国教授初学者和GCSE学生中文（普通话），以及华裔学生A-Level课程。她亦在牛津中国语言和文化俱乐部给外国及华裔学生教授汉字和中国古典文学。

"I am keen to start teaching and getting to know all the students at LEH Foshan. Chinese is a beautiful language with a long history and rich culture. I hope to inspire intellectual curiosity, creative thinking and a lifelong love of learning in our students. Meanwhile, I am excited to learn some Cantonese and explore local culture, such as Gongfu and Cantonese opera, with my students."  

“我热切盼望着尽快与佛山LEH的学生们见面，带领他们领略中文的魅力。中文是一门美丽的语言，它有着悠久的历史和丰富的文化底蕴。我希望能激发学生的求知欲、创造性思维和对学习的终生热爱。同时我也期待能在佛山学习一些粤语，跟我的学生一起探索当地文化，例如功夫和粤剧。” 

Mr Neil Cairnie comes to LEH Foshan as the Head of Biology and brings experience teaching sciences in public and international schools in Canada, Malaysia, and China. He followed his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Master’s in Science in Biology at the University of New Brunswick in Canada. His scientific interests include human origins and evolution, environmental sustainability, the molecular nature of life processes, and forest ecology. 

He is excited and grateful for this opportunity in China at LEH Foshan. "I’m looking forward to returning to China and to teaching, learning, and living at LEH Foshan. It’s going to be an amazing opportunity and experience for us all." 

Cairnie 先生对在佛山LEH的教学工作充满期待。 “我很期待回到中国，来到佛山LEH的校园里教学、学习和生活。这将会是一段奇妙旅程！”

Ms Danielle Morgan joins us from the UK as the Head of Sport and Activities. Ms Morgan previously taught Physical Education in Birmingham and worked as a Head of Year for several years in London. 

Danielle Morgan 女士以体育和课外活动学科主任一职加入佛山LEH。她曾在英国伯明翰教授体育学科，也担任过伦敦学校年级主任数年。 

Ms Morgan has a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Surrey and a Master of Science in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy from the University of Birmingham. Ms Morgan has taught Dance, Yoga and Fitness in the UK and in Australia. 

Danielle Morgan 女士拥有伯明翰大学体育教育和运动教育学硕士学位和英国萨里大学舞蹈学士学位，曾在英国和澳大利亚教授舞蹈、瑜伽和健身课程。

I am looking forward to joining LEH Foshan and creating opportunities for students to enjoy the fantastic benefits being physically active and of participating in a wide range of creative activities can bring throughout their lives.”

Our native-English speaking teaching staff are recruited from leading schools around the world, and bring maturity and dynamism to the classroom. Most hold Masters or PhDs in Education and have, on average, 15+ years teaching experience.
