Introduction of Mark

About Mark

My name is Mark and I come from the UK. I graduated from Arts University Bournemouth with an honour’s degree in Visual Communication. I have been teaching Middle school students in China for five years and enjoy providing meaningful and engaging lessons in order for the students to become interested in learning English. I feel that my Design education helps me to create an immersive and enjoyable classroom environment.

As a foreign English teacher in China I believe I should focus on the communicative approach to language teaching where the goal of language education is the ability to communicate in the target language.

Come to China

My coming to China due to the reason that I am interested in learning about different Culture’s and ideas. I’m interested in the humanities field and enjoy reading and learning about subjects such as Philosophy, Psychology, Culture, Art & Design etc. My reason for coming to Sanshui is because I wanted to help start the Cambridge English course as that is relevant to my country’s education, it’s a skills-based course that seeks to develop a student’s critical and creative faculties and to form an engaged and responsible young individual. I also miss the rivers from my hometown and feel happy living near freshwater.

Mark Deane, 北外附校三水外国语学校初中剑桥项目外教，来自英国，毕业于泰晤士排名前50的英国公立大学——伯恩茅斯艺术大学，获得视觉传播设计学位。他在中国有5年中学英语教学经验，并曾于北京一所高校为本科生与研究生进行EAP教学。他致力于将所学的视觉传播设计专业与英语教学相结合，为孩子打造沉浸式的、轻松的英语课堂氛围，从而全面提高孩子的英语语言运用能力、培养孩子的批判性思维和创新思维。他对中国的文化有着浓厚的兴趣，期待能够在北外附校开展“来自英国的”剑桥英语相关课程。生活上，他喜欢阅读不同的领域的书籍作品；此外，他也是一个运动爱好者，三水的天然环境恰恰为他提供了酷似其家乡的运动场所。

我眼中的Mark

Cambridge Class 1 Sandy 陈珊

My foreign teacher is Mr Mark. He is knowledgeable. He helps me become more interested in reading and speaking. He is always there and ready to do me a favor when I have troubles.

He often separates his class into different parts which makes us know exactly what we should do. And he often prepares a vocabulary list for us to help us understand more words. He tries his best to make each class interesting to get all of us involved. For example, when someone gets the best score in our class, he will give a pizza to the student. This can make us happy.

All in all, having his lessons can truly improve my English level. Thank you so much, Mr Mark.

我的外教是马克先生。他是知识渊博的。他帮助我对阅读和口语更感兴趣。当我有困难的时候，他总是在那里，随时准备帮忙。

他经常把他的班级分成不同的部分，这使我们确切地知道我们应该做什么。他经常为我们准备一个词汇表来帮助我们理解更多的单词。他尽力使每节课有趣，让我们所有人都参与进来。例如，当有人在我们班得到最好的分数，他会奖励一个比萨。这能让我们快乐。

总之，上他的课可以真正提高我的英语水平。非常感谢，马克先生。

Cambridge Class 1 Avice 王延祖

In our Cambridge class, we have special foreign classes. It is interesting. Because in foreign classes if you get the best point, you can get a big and real pizza. So everyone works hard.

And our foreign teahcer——Mark, he is kind. When someone can’t speak well, he will be patiently teach them. Also, he encourages us to be more confident when answering and discussing with other classmates.

So I’m happy and interested in the foreign class. Study English with him is an enjoyable journey for me.

在我们剑桥班，我们有特殊的外语课。它很有趣。因为在课堂上，如果你得到最好的分数，你可以得到一个真正的披萨。所以每个人都很努力。

还有我们的外教——马克，他很善良。当有人表达不出来，他会耐心地教他们。他还鼓励我们在回答问题和与同学讨论问题时要更加自信。

所以我很开心，对外语课也很感兴趣。和他一起学习英语对我来说是一段愉快的旅程。

The moment of class

A good teacher is a lighthouse that leads us to the other side of getting success. Mark would be this lighthouse to me. He is friendly and knowledgeable. With Mark’s help, my English expression ability is getting better and better, and I dare to express my views. All in all, I think I can be better with Mark’s help, and Mark will be the lighthouse that leads us to our destination.

好老师是一座灯塔，指引我们到达成功之彼岸。马克就是我的灯塔。他既友好又知识渊博。在Mark的帮助下，我的英语表达能力越来越好，敢于表达自己的观点。总而言之，我想在Mark的帮助下，做得更好，Mark将是指引我们到达目的地的灯塔。

I truly enjoy Mr Mark’s class which makes me become more interested in reading, writing and speaking. He is so nice and knowledgeable that can teach our English very well.

Mr Mark brings many useful skills to us and we learn about them. His class is full of fun. That’s the reason why I always immerse myself in his class. Mr Mark encourages us to learn more vocabulary. And he gives us a piece of vocabulary list. All in all, having his class can truly improve my English skills and have a lot of fun.

We all like him. Oh, Mr Mark can play football very well.

我非常喜欢Mark先生的课，这让我对读、写、说更加感兴趣。他很好，知识渊博，可以教我们很好的英语。

马克先生给我们带来了许多有用的技能。他的课很有趣。这就是为什么我总是沉浸在他的课上的原因。马克先生鼓励我们学习更多的词汇。每次他会给我们一张词汇表。总而言之，上他的课可以真正提高我的英语技能，并有很多乐趣。

我们都喜欢他。哦，还有，马克先生足球踢得很好。
