师资大揭秘 | 国王中班和大班,中外师资强强联手,助力孩子全面发展!

今年是国王幼儿园的第四年,看着孩子们在任何场合都能大方展示自己,我们为其骄傲;看着一届届学生自信、阳光地迈入小学,我们倍感欣慰!作为国际幼儿园,我们注重让孩子们感受多元文化的碰撞。每个班级均配备1名英文主班老师、1名双语主班老师和1名双语外教,小小班还有1名保育员。所有外籍教师均持有PGCE,所有中国籍教师均持有教师资格证。稳定的外教数量,高质量的师资团队,所有老师全天候在班级陪伴、关心小朋友,提供必要的引导和人文关怀,促进孩子的身心发展。

主班老师


在顺利度过小小班和小班后,孩子们逐渐从家庭生活融入到集体生活,逐渐从家庭迈向社会。到了中班,孩子的可塑性很强,培养他们的独立性尤为重要。中班每个班级,均配备1名外籍英文主班老师,1名双语主班老师,以及1名双语助教。三名教师不断创造和利用幼儿园的每一处空间,拓宽孩子们的学习体验,满足孩子们的个性化探索需求。

Carmen Yelumalai

K21 英文主班老师

Carmen本科毕业于德班科技大学,在加入国王幼儿园之前,她曾在辽宁教授ESL(English as a Second Language,以英语为第二语言/外语)课程。在中国的五年生活及教学经历,让Carmen更了解中国家庭,了解中国学生。她善于关注每位孩子的学习状态并予以积极的回应和支持。Carmen热爱音乐,她常常将音乐和旋律创作融入孩子们的班级活动中,用爱心与热情将孩子们带入有趣的双语学习之旅。

Mandy Zeng

K21 双语主班老师

Mandy拥有深厚的专业背景,本科毕业于美国华盛顿州立大学幼儿教育专业,并拥有香港中文大学教育学硕士文凭。她持有国家教师资格证书,亦是香港的注册教师。Mandy曾在香港和北京的多所幼儿园任教,拥有丰富的幼儿园教学经验。2020年加入国王幼儿园,她的专业及有爱也深得学生喜爱和家长信任,她希望和孩子们一起探索未来的所有可能。

Benedict Raikes

K22 英文主班老师

Benedict来自英国,热爱音乐与运动,在中国已有三年EYFS体系下的少儿教学经验。他坚信学习应该基于兴趣和游戏体验的原则,鼓励孩子们在老师的指导下提出问题并寻找答案,进而扩展知识面。Benedict坚信每个孩子都是独特的,应该采取因材施教的原则促进孩子们的发展。他努力让教室成为一个有趣、令孩子们欣然向往的地方,他期待与孩子们建立积极良好的关系。

Daisy Luo

Daisy拥有优质的专业背景,本科毕业于四川师范大学教育专业,硕士毕业于澳大利亚迪肯大学英语教育专业。Daisy参加过英式学校的沉浸式专业培训,也曾在多所国际学校工作过,是一位经验丰富的教育者。她于2019年加入国王幼儿园,对国王课程体系和该年龄段学生的学习特点有清晰的认识,她希望通过各类活动激发孩子们的想象力,塑造他们的创造力和批判性思维。

到了幼儿园大班,孩子们心智更为成熟。国王幼儿园共有四个大班,每个班级均配备1名外籍英文主班老师,1名双语主班老师,以及1名双语助教。与其他年级有所区别的是,大班所有班级都是由男性外教担任英文主班老师,更好培养孩子们探索世界的勇气,更好促进孩子们的全方位发展。

Ross Kay Hards

K31 英文主班老师

Ross是教育专业出身,曾在多个地区的多所国际学校任教过,拥有丰富的幼儿教学经验。Ross于2021年加入国王大家庭,对孩子幼儿阶段的规则建立和英语自然拼读方面有丰富的经验和独到的解决方案。他还是一名热爱体育的运动健将,同时在数学方面也有所研究。Ross深受孩子喜欢,他鼓励并带领孩子们在学习过程中从容面对挑战,不断取得进步。

Kanis Nie

K31 双语主班老师

Kanis毕业于澳大利亚麦考瑞大学的幼儿教育专业,并持有幼儿园教师资格证和儿童早期教育及护理三级证书。Kanis热爱教育,对教育充满热情。她于2019年加入国王幼儿园,一直担任K3双语主班老师,采取因材施教的原则进行教学,为孩子们提供足够的关爱与帮助。Kanis能够将中英文课程融会贯通,为学生的幼小衔接给予最有力的支持。

Paddy Cooper

K32 英文主班老师

Paddy来自爱尔兰,在亚洲拥有超过10年的任教经历,有着丰富的IB、STEM及EYFS课程教学经验。Paddy于2014年来到深圳,开始从事幼儿早期教育;于2021年加入国王幼儿园,与K3教师团队通力合作,研发出一套适用于该年龄段儿童的英文自然拼读课程。他相信创造一个积极乐观、鼓舞人心的学习氛围可以促进孩子们的自主学习。

Sophie Xiang

K32 双语主班老师

Sophie拥有美国马萨诸塞大学幼儿教育专业学士学位,以及加拿大学前教育教师资格认证。在2019年加入国王幼儿园之前,Sophie曾在深圳多所国际学校任教。她有8年以上的幼儿园教育教学和班级管理经验,是一名专业的双语教师。在国王担任K3双语主班老师期间,Sophie对课程及学生学习特点把握到位,经验丰富,能够从课程到方法上为孩子们的幼小衔接提供充分支持。

Rudi Nel

K33 英文主班老师

Rudi拥有超过8年的儿童教学经验,他注重提高孩子们的自我意识和自身发展,也深知让每个孩子形成和发展各自思维与个性的重要性。Rudi热爱运动,擅长柔道,还是一名职业柔道运动员,曾获得各种国际奖项。他深知体育运动对身体发展的重要性和对学习的积极影响,他认为良好的学习习惯应建立在日常的生活中。幼儿园阶段应养成喜欢运动、喜欢阅读、喜欢探究等终身受益的良好习惯。

Doris Zhu

K33 双语主班老师

Doris拥有超过6年的教学经验,硕士毕业于香港浸会大学教育学专业,还拥有国家教师资格证书和英语专业八级证书。在加入国王之前,Doris拥有名牌双语学校小学低年段的从业经历,对学生幼小衔接有相关经验。Doris于2020年加入国王幼儿园,她了解国王课程体系,新学期将给孩子们带来更加丰富的课程之旅,激发出孩子们的无限可能。

Dewayne Ohlsson

K34 英文主班老师

Dewayne在中国拥有超过四年的教育教学经验,曾在北京、南京的知名英语教育机构教授英语并担任班主任。他对CLIL(Content and Language Integrated Learning,内容和语言融合学习法)、EYFS英国早期教育课程体系、戏剧和表演艺术等方面都拥有独到见解与相关经验。加入国王幼儿园之后,他为孩子们注入了新的活力和信心,取得了突出的效果。

Nicole Lin

K34 双语主班老师

Nicole是教育专业出身,在知名国际幼儿园拥有超过9年的教育教学经历,曾多次获得“优秀班主任”的称号。她于2019年加入国王幼儿园,主要担任K2及K3的双语主班老师,对各年龄段学生的学习特点和课程安排有成熟的经验。Nicole尊重孩子,对孩子有极大的包容和耐心,她也深得孩子喜欢、家长信任。

Homeroom Teacher

After having wonderful time in PreK and K1, the children gradually integrate from family life to collective life, and gradually move from the family to society. At the stage of K2, children have strong plasticity, and it is particularly important to cultivate their independence. Each class of K2 has three teachers (including a foreign homeroom teacher, a bilingual homeroom teacher and a teaching assistant). The three teachers constantly create and utilize every space in our Pre-Prep campus to broaden children's learning experience and meet their individual exploration needs.

Carmen holds a bachelor's degree from Durban University of Technology. Before joining the King's School, she worked as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Liaoning. Carmen has been living and working in China for 5 years which has helped her to understand more about Chinese students and families. Carmen is attentive to each child's learning needs and responds, and she supports the students positively. She loves music and integrates music and rhythms into activities, bringing children into a fun bilingual learning journey with the love and enthusiasm.

Mandy Zeng

Mandy has a strong professional background: she has a bachelor's degree in Early Children Education from Washington State University and has a master's degree in Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mandy holds a Pre-Prep Chinese National Teacher's Qualification and is a registered teacher in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in various kindergartens in HongKong and Beijing. Mandy joined the King's School in 2020, and her professional and loving commitment has won her the trust from students and parents.

Benedict Raikes

Benedict is from the UK, and he loves music and sports. Benedict has 3 years of early childhood teaching experience in China in an EYFS setting. He believes that leaning should be based heavily around the principles of fun and play, and that all students should be encouraged to ask questions and seek answers, guided by their teachers. He always tries to make his classroom a fun and exciting place for children. Benedict thinks that each student is unique,and their education should be tailored to them and their needs through the forming of positive relationships in an enabling classroom environment.

Daisy Luo

Daisy has a bachelor's degree in Education from Sichuan Normal University and a master's degree in Teaching English from Deakin University of Australia. She has immersion training for British schools, and she is an experienced educator and has previously worked in several international schools across China. Daisy joined King's School in 2019, and she clearly understands the King's curriculum and the learning characteristics of children in this age group. She hopes to nurture the children's imagination, critical thinking, and creativity through various activities.

Our Pre-Prep has four classes in K3, and each class has three teachers (including a foreign homeroom teacher, a bilingual homeroom teacher and a teaching assistant). Different from other grades, all classes in K3 are taught by male teachers as the foreign homeroom teachers. It can better cultivate children's courage to explore the world, and better promote their all-round development.

Ross is an experienced educator and has taught in many international schools in different countries. He joined the King's School in 2021. Ross has unique experience and approaches in building order in the early years and teaching phonics. He loves sports and has good knowledge of mathematics. Ross is very popular with children and encourage them to face challenges and make progress in their learning process.

Kanis Nie

Kanis graduated from Macquarie University of Australia with a bachelor's degree in Arts of Early Childhood, and she has the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Kanis loves and is passionate about education. After joining the King's School in 2019, she has been working as a bilingual homeroom teacher. Kanis has been able to integrate the English and Chinese curriculum during her work, tailors her teaching to students of different abilities and provide sufficient care and assistance to best support her students in their transition from early childhood to primary school.

Paddy Cooper

Paddy is from Ireland and has over 10 years' teaching experience in Asia. He has extensive teaching experience in IB, STEM and EYFS courses. Paddy has been working in early years education in Shenzhen since 2014, and joined the King's School in 2021. He has worked with the K3 teaching team to make a strong progress for an effective bridging of the tiered phonics lessons for children. He believes in creating a positive and supportive environment to foster student led learning.

Sophie Xiang

K32 Bilingual

Homeroom Teacher

Sophie has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Massachusetts of USA and an early childhood teaching qualification from Canada. Before joining the King's School, Sophie taught in several international schools in Shenzhen and has over 8 years' teaching experience. During her tenure at King's K3, she has a good comprehension of the King's curriculum and children's learning characteristics, with rich differentiation experience in teaching, and can provide full supportfrom curriculum to approach for the transition from early childhood to primary school.

Rudi Nel

Homeroom Teacher

Rudi has more than 8 years of teaching experience, and he focuses onpersonal self-awareness and development in his teaching methods. It is important for Rudi to teach in such a way that every child forms and develops their own ideas and personalities. Rudi has an appetite for sports. Judo was the sport he excelled in by becoming a professional Judoka and obtaining various international titles. He understands the importance of physical development and the positive impact of sport on learning. He believes that good habits should be built into everyday life and that a love of sport, reading and inquiring should be developed at Pre-Prep level for lifelong benefits.

Doris Zhu

Homeroom Teacher

Doris has a master's degree in Education from Hong Kong Baptist University, has the Chinese National Teacher's Qualification and TEM 8, and has 6 years of teaching. Before joining the King's School in 2020, Doris has experience in the lower primary years of a prestigious bilingual school and has relevant experience in the transition programme for students, which will give them an even richer journey through the curriculum. She understands the King's curriculum, and she love to work with children at the start of their educational journey and help them to fulfil their potential.

Dewayne Ohlsson

K34 Foreign

Homeroom Teacher

Dewayne has worked as an international English teacher for 4 years in China, and taught at the well-known ESL (English as a Second Language) institutions in Beijing and Nanjing. Besides, he has experiences related to the professional training in CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), EYFS, Drama and Performing Arts. After joining the King's School, Dewayne has brought his energy and confidence to the students with outstanding and achievements.

Nicole Lin

Homeroom Teacher

Nicole has a professional education background and over 9 years' teaching experience in a famous international kindergarten. Since joining the King's School in 2019, she has worked as bilingual homeroom teacher at K2 and K3 and has proven experience with the learning characteristics and curriculum of this age group. Nicole treats children with respect and has great tolerance and patience with students. She is loved by children and trusted by parents.
