12月，东华文泽学校（TWIS）一年一度的冬季音乐会如期而至。一直以来，TWIS始终视全人教育和发展加德纳所倡导的多元智能理论为教育使命，而冬季音乐会则是学生展示其表演艺术成就的舞台。除了欣赏日常音乐课程的学习内容外，观众还有机会享受到CASE课外课程、PYP小学戏剧课程、TWIS音乐学院，以及PYP小学、MYP中学和DP大学预科舞蹈项目的精彩表演！

Here comes one of the most awaited events at TWIS – the Winter Concert. As an international school with a mission to nurture the whole child and develop what Gardner refers to as multiple intelligences, the TWIS winter concert is a venue to showcase students’ achievements in the performing arts. Aside from presenting our music classes and after-school CASE activities, the audience enjoyed the performances of the PYP drama, the PYP, MYP and DP dance, and the TWIS Music Academy students.

TWIS音乐课程的主旨在于通过提高学生的音乐鉴赏能力和鼓励学生思考旋律、声音或音乐符号来发展学生的音乐智能。在学习了音乐理论基础和合唱知识后，PYP小学三年级的学生组成了合唱班，他们结合了杯子敲击乐创造了美妙的纯人声前奏。

The music curriculum at TWIS aims to develop musical intelligence by encouraging a strong appreciation for music and thinking in rhythms, sounds, or patterns. After learning the fundamental theory, our PYP3 students performed as a choir adding cup percussion!

同样学习了合唱知识的PYP小学四年级则带来了一首富有非洲音乐色彩的歌曲《I Let Her Go Go!》。结合本学期学习的非洲鼓和身体乐器，他们融合了身体节奏与歌唱表演，为观众带来了一场轻松愉快的听觉盛宴！

PYP4 students, who also learned about choral singing this semester, performed the song I Let Her Go Go! with a strong African musical influence. Combining the Djembe and body instruments, they brought the audience a relaxing and enjoyable aural feast!

为了帮助学生发展“身体运动智能”，我们已经将表演艺术和体育运动项目的边界拓宽至舞蹈领域，为不同年级的学生提供别样的舞蹈体验。对于PYP小学一年级的学生来说，这是他们第一次接触到流行舞蹈文化。以欢快的旋律为背景，学生表演了一系列简单易学的流行舞蹈元素，完美地展现了手眼协调能力和身体灵动性。

To develop bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, we have expanded our performing arts and PHE programs to include dance. For PYP1 students, this is their first exposure to pop dance culture. They showcased a series of easy-to-learn dance elements to upbeat melodies, encouraging hand-eye coordination, dexterity and body movement.

MYP中学二年级学生曾经在学校餐厅的那场快闪舞蹈表演是否让你意犹未尽？这一次，学生再次将这场舞蹈表演搬上舞台。从选曲、音乐剪辑、海报制作，到完成一场精彩的表演，学生共同合作，发挥着良好的团队精神。

Did the MYP2 students put on a flash mob dance in the school cafeteria that you couldn't get enough of? Our young dancers brought the dance performance to the stage again. Working as a team, MYP 2 created their own advertising poster, and selected and edited their own music suited to the concept of flash mob.

戏剧教育也是TWIS表演艺术项目的重要一环，它不仅能提高学生的语言能力，还能培养学生的创造力和想象力。在冬季音乐会上，PYP小学五年级学生通过戏剧表演，还原了英国作家狄更斯所著的《圣诞颂歌》的故事。

The TWIS performing arts program includes drama education as well, which develops students' imagination and creativity in addition to their language proficiency. During the winter concert, our PYP5 students performed a theatrical version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

另外，口风琴CASE课外课程的学生也参演了此次音乐会，为我们带来了极具节日气氛的《Santa Claus is Coming to Town（圣诞老人进城了）》的乐器演奏。

Students from the Pianica after-school CASE added to the festive spirit by performing Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

同时，TWIS冬季音乐会也是一个学生展示其才华和热爱的大舞台。本学期初，学校有一群中学生因热爱流行舞蹈而自发组建了一支舞蹈组合——KNT舞团。在表演中，她们以一段独特新颖的舞蹈惊艳全场，她们活泼热情、充满力量，让我们看到女性力量的无限可能。

KNT Group is our first student-initiated dance group. For their first public performance, we saw girl power at its finest. Energetic, strong and enthusiastic – our MYP dancers captivated the audience.

来自TWIS音乐学院的舞蹈团队是年龄差距最大的组合——横跨6岁至12岁。然而，他们却以精湛的表演阐释了身体律动是如何造就集体表达的，给观众留下了深刻的印象。

The Music Academy’s dance team from 6 to 12 years old impressed us not only with their teamwork but with how dance can be a collective expression of the expressive possibilities of bodily movement.

自TWIS音乐学院创立以来，它便为广大希望追求更高音乐造诣的学生提供了深度探索与钻研的平台。例如，作为练琴时长最高记录的保持者，学生Logan的钢琴水平在一对一的教学指导下突飞猛进，为了响应世界杯，他带来了一首《阿拉伯风格曲》钢琴独奏。

For students who want to pursue higher musical achievements, the TWIS Music Academy offers a platform for in-depth exploration for our students ever since it was founded. For instance, as a student who has the highest data record on practicing the piano, Logan's skills have greatly improved with one-on-one tutoring, and in honor of the World Cup, he performed a piano solo L' Arabesque.

为了展示乐器演奏和歌唱能力，MYP中学一年级的学生在钢琴、吉他和架子鼓的伴奏下共同演唱了一首《力求至高（Strive for the Highest）》的歌曲。作为IB学习者，他们热衷于探索新事物和思考创新策略，挑战固有的思维方式，为追求更高的目标而努力。

To demonstrate their musical instrument playing and singing skills, MYP1 students performed a song Strive for the Highest as a choir accompanied by piano, guitar, and drums. As IB learners, they enjoy exploring new ideas and innovative strategies, challenging their ways of thinking and doing things, and striving for the highest.

在TWIS，我们始终视多元化为一种力量。我们学习和了解身处的世界，以此培养国际思维。通过跨文化理解和文化尊重，我们的学生致力于创造一个更好、更和平的世界。因此，在学习“音乐有边界吗？”这一主题时，MYP中学三年级的学生练习了歌曲《四海一家》。这一表演的编排由长笛、合成器、钢琴、吉他和尤克里里等乐器组合而成。

In TWIS, we see diversity as a strength, and we learn about the world around us to foster international mindedness. We aim to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Within the framework of their first unit, “Does Music have Boundaries?”, MYP3 students focused on the song We are the World. Their arrangement consists of a combination of musical instruments such as flute, synthesizer, piano, guitars, and ukuleles.

圣诞节将至。正如我们的学生所言，圣诞节并不仅只有礼物和派对，它还是一个关于爱意的节日，这种爱的表达并不局限于家庭，它还可以拓宽至我们所身处的社区。在冬季音乐会上，我们很高兴能欣赏到由不同年级的学生所打造的关于圣诞主题的视听盛宴!

Christmas is coming. As one of our students aptly put it, Christmas is not just about presents and parties. It’s about caring and bringing good tidings not only to our family but to our community. During the winter concert, we were delighted to enjoy a feast of Christmas-theme songs performed by our students from different grades!
