这是美国史斯克兰·吉利兰的一首小诗，从这首温馨的词句里可以了解到亲子共读，是培养亲子关系最重要的一环。在图书周，家长们被邀请进入校园和孩子们一起阅读，共享愉悦的亲子共读时光。
2. Library-scavenger Hunt
图书馆寻宝
图书馆里有很多精心准备的“宝藏”等待孩子们去探寻。孩子们以小组为单位找到所有宝藏后，每个成员都能够获得院舍积分。
3. Drop Everything And Read
放下一切，开始阅读！
哈罗海口读书周的另一项重要活动是DEAR，即“Drop Everything And Read”。我们希望通过这项活动帮助学生养成专注的阅读习惯，享受无干扰的读书时光。哨声响起，无论你在做什么，都快停下开始阅读吧！
读书同时还能演出？
今年，音乐组的老师们为低年级的孩子们策划了特别的读书演出，谁定义读书只能正襟危坐？爱好阅读，可以在任何场景！
5. Book Cover Competition
封面设计大比拼
孩子们找到自己喜欢的书，根据自己的理解为这本书设计封面。看看孩子们是如何发挥创造力, 把书中的奇妙场景带进现实世界的吧！
每年读书周的高潮非书籍角色变装日莫属了！每位同学都可以选择去变身自己喜欢的角色，最终评选出最佳装扮奖。来看看谁的变装最有创意吧！
在哈罗海口，阅读一直是我们所重视并倡导的一种学习方式，我们希望为孩子们创造丰富的活动机会来帮助他们感受读书的乐趣，为养成终身阅读的习惯打下基础。期待2024年读书周再见啦！

Harrow Haikou Book Week 2023 has begun!
This week, our students and teachers turn into various book characters, enter the wonderful world of books and movies, explore the school library for treasure, complete the fun quiz to win a prize, and much more…
For this year's Book Week, Harrow Haikou has prepared lots of great activities for our children and their families.
You may have tangible wealth untold;
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be--
I had a Mother (Father) who read to me.
This is a poem by American poet Strickland Gillilan. From this cute and sweet poem, we can understand that parent-child reading may be the most important part of cultivating parent-child relationship. During our Book Week, parents of students are invited to enter the campus to read with their child and share this pleasant reading time together.
2. Library-scavenger Hunt

There are many well-prepared "treasures" in the school library waiting for children to explore. After the children find all the treasures as a team, each member is able to earn House points.
3. Drop Everything And Read
放下一切，开始阅读！
Another important event of Harrow Haikou Book Week is DEAR, which stands for Drop Everything and Read.
Through this activity, the school hopes to help students develop the habit of concentrating on reading and enjoying reading time without distractions. So, when the whistle blows, stop whatever you're doing and start reading!
Have you tried reading and acting at the same time?
This year, the academic team of our Music Department planned a special book dance event for the children of Lower School. Who stipulates that we can only sit still when we read? In our view, if you love to read, you can do it anytime, anywhere!
5. Book Cover Competition
封面设计大比拼
Children find one of their favorite books and design the cover for the book according to their own understanding and interpretation. Let’s see how our children unleash their creativity and bring the wonderful scenes from the book into the real world!
The highlight of Book Week every year is our amazing Dress Up Day! Each student can choose to dress up as their favorite character, and finally the best costume award will be selected. Let's see who has the most creative costumes!
At Harrow Haikou, reading as always been a way of learning that we value and advocate. We provide children with a variety of activities and opportunities to help them feel the joy of reading and lay the foundations for developing lifelong reading habits. Looking forward to meeting you again at Book Week in 2024!
