爱丁堡公爵国际奖从1956年创建开始致力于帮助青年策划并开展活动计划，促使他们在精神上，身体上及情感上全面发展。爱莎荔湾注重学生综合能力的提升，以世界为教材，以问题为导入，以概念为驱动，以探究为主要的学习方式。在探究过程中学习和提升研究、沟通、思考、社交和自我管理技能，激发孩子的无限潜能。而 “爱丁堡公爵国际奖”则是其中一个权威的衡量指标，全球众多名牌大学和知名企业高度评价该奖项，并将其作为录取/录用的参考。
广州荔湾爱莎外籍人员子女学校正式获得英国爱丁堡公爵奖官方授权，成为该奖项在中国的学校奖项执行中心之一。
爱丁堡公爵国际奖为年轻人的人生成长提供助力。它是世界领先的青少年成就奖。在2015年，全球140多个国家和地区的110多万年轻人参与了该奖项。“爱奖”自60多年前诞生以来，激励了数百万年轻人改变自己的生活。
通过为年轻人创造发展技能、锻炼身体、提供服务和体验冒险的机会，“爱奖”可以为年轻人在课堂外的成长中发挥重要作用。与此同时，“爱奖”参与者所取得的独特经验和成就也将得到国际性的认可。
爱丁堡公爵国际奖由金、银、铜三个奖项级别和四个科目组成。奖项参与者需在每个级别完成所有四个科目。在金奖级别，参与者还需要完成团体生活项目。
志愿服务
参与者自愿加入社区服务，为社会做出积极贡献，展现社会责任感。
体育锻炼
鼓励年轻人加强身体素质，享受身心健康的生活方式。
技能学习
提升参与者的才华，扩展技能，增强自信，提高就业能力。
户外探索
发掘年轻人的冒险精神，加深对自然和环境的了解。
申请金奖的额外科目 -- 团体生活
参与者需要共同经历一个陌生环境，让他们拓宽生活经验，建立有价值的人际关系。

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award was founded in 1956 and was intended as a means to support young people on their journey of self-development, regardless of their background, culture, physical ability, skills or interest. ISA Liwan emphasizes the improvement of students' overall ability. It takes the world as the textbook, questions as the introduction, concepts as the driving force, and inquiry as the main teaching and learning approach. Learn and improve research, communication, thinking, social and self-management skills in the process of inquiry, practice and stimulate children's unlimited potential. Then what are the criteria for the "Holistic Education"? "The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is one of the authoritative measures, and is highly regarded by leading universities and companies around the world as a reference for admission/employment.
ISA Liwan International School of Guangzhou has been officially authorized by The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to be one of the school award centers in China.
What is the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award equips young people for life. It is the world’s leading youth achievement award. In 2015more than1.1million young people around the world took part in the Award in more than 140 countries and territories. Since the Award’slaunch60years ago, it has inspired millions of young people to transform their
lives.
By creating opportunities for young people to develop skills, get physically active, give service and experience adventure, the Award can play acritical role in their development outside the classroom. It also allows their achievement to be consistently recognized worldwide, giving young people unique international accreditation of their experiences.
The Award is comprised of three levels and four divs. Participants complete all four divs at each level in order to achieve their Award. At Gold level, participants also complete a Residential Project.
The three levels to the Award:
Bronze: for those over 14 years.
6 months minimum participation.
Silver: for those over 15 years.
12 months minimumparticipation
Gold: for those over 16 years.

Participants volunteer in their communities, make a positive contribution to society and demonstrate social responsibility.
Physical Recreation
Encourages young people to improve their fitness and performance and enjoy healthy lifestyles for good mental and physical wellbeing.
Skills
Enables participants to develop their talents, broaden their abilities, increase theirself‐confidence and improve their employability.
Adventurous Journey
Young people discover a spirit of adventure and gain a deeper understanding of the environment and the great outdoors.
And at Gold only:
Residential Project
Participants broaden their experience by staying in an unfamiliar environment with other young people, taking part in a worthwhile project and building new relationships.
As the award center of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, ISA Liwan will uphold the concept of "DofE" and offer global village-like excellent learning experience with multicultural integration to students, guiding students to learn, cooperate and communicate with others, develop spontaneous advocacy and thinking skills, and learn to persevere and overcome difficulties while challenging themselves.
