On Thursday, Professor James J. Heckman, a Nobel Prize winner and esteemed professor at the University of Chicago, gave a lecture at Jinan University. He holds multiple positions at the university, including Director of the Center for the Economics of Human Development and Co-Director of Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Global Working Group. He is also a Professor of Law and a senior research fellow at the American Bar Foundation.

星期四，诺贝尔奖得主兼芝加哥大学深受爱戴的James J. Heckman教授在暨南大学做演讲。他在大学担任多个职位，包括人的发展经济学研究中心的主任和人力资本与经济机会全球合作组联合主任、法学教授和美国律师基金会的高级研究人员。

The accomplished Professor Heckman earned a PhD in Economics from Princeton and is highly regarded for his empirical research in labour economics, with a focus on the effectiveness of early childhood education programs. He currently conducts research on subjects such as inequality, social mobility, and economic opportunity.

成就不凡的Heckman教授在普林斯顿获得经济学博士学位，他在劳动经济学里的经验研究备受推崇，他重点研究学前教育的作用。他最近研究不对等、社会流动与经济机会等课题。

During his presentation titled “Interactions as Investments: The Microdynamics and Measurement of Early Childhood Learning”, he shared research findings obtained from his work with families residing in Jiangsu, China. 

在他名为“投资般互动：微观经济学与儿童早期学习测量”的演讲中，他分享了在江苏家庭的研究中获得的研究发现。

The emphasis of the presentation was on the importance of favourable interactions among Early Years children, their environment, and key individuals. These interactions are instrumental in fostering the acquisition of skills that are vital for a lifetime. Positive interactions with caregivers and peers promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth, laying a strong foundation for future success. The lecture proved to be an excellent opportunity for our staff to enhance their comprehension of the significance of interactions during the Early Years.

此次演讲强调学前孩子、环境和关键人物之间良性互动的重要性。这些互动在技能获得的培养上发挥着作用，而且对他们一生来说，起着重要的作用。与照料者和同龄人的积极互动能促进社交、情感和认知方面的成长，为将来的成就奠定强而有力的基础。事实证明这次的演讲是我们员工的绝佳学习机会，加强了他们对互动在学前阶段重要性的理解。
