Experiential Learning in the GBA Factory | 东莞ASJ经济科学生走进大湾区企业

This semester, the Economics students have learnt about the ownership of the firms, factors of production and specialisation in the production process. Gaining hands-on experience in a real factory setting provides valuable insight into economics, observing how everything works in practice to allow for more informed decisions.

本学期，选修经济学科的DSE学生们已经学习了关于企业的所有权、生产要素和生产过程中的专业化的知识。而让他们加深对这些主题理解的最好方式就是让学生们走进一间真正的工厂，去发掘这些因素在经济学中的重要性。

On May 25th, 31 Grade 10 students went on a visit to Wong's Kong King International (WKK) Technological Park. Students were guided by the factory and HR manager on the factory tour to experience a day of staff in the company from their workplace to their leisure life in the factory.

5月25日，东莞ASJ三十一名G10学生走进王氏港建科技城，在厂方和人力资源经理的带领下进行了工厂参观，体验作为员工在工厂中从工作场所到休闲区域生活的一天.

Mr. HUNG Tacho (GM of DNP (Dongguang Nissin Plastic Products Co., Ltd.) ), pointed out that work-life balance is vital for today’s labours and the company sees that lifelong learning is essential to every worker in the organisation and they as a company, provide a free package to all the staff for obtaining a university degree. This showcases the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and how a firm promotes productivity through education.

孔德浩先生（东莞日新塑胶制品有限公司总经理）指出，工作与生活的平衡对今天的劳动者来说是非常重要的，公司认为终身学习对组织中的每个工人都是必不可少的，他们为所有员工获得大学学位提供补贴。这显示了企业社会责任的重要性，以及公司如何通过教育促进生产力。

Students were also arranged to have the same experience as the assembly line workers in the factory. They were invited to visit the dormitories of the workers, have the same lunch and work on the production line with them. Mr. Hung also shared a few stories from the assembly line workers that they have been working on the line for years to maintain the livelihood of their families. This is an opportunity to educate students to appreciate the hard-won learning opportunities they have now and to respect the different stakeholders in society.

学生们也体验了一番工厂里工人们的生活，他们参观了工人们的宿舍，吃同样的午餐，并与他们一起在生产线上工作。孔先生还向学生们分享了一些工人们的故事，他们多年来一直在流水线上工作，以维持他们家庭的生计，借此教育同学们珍惜现在来之不易的学机会以及尊重不同阶层的社会持份者。

At the end of the visit, students gathered together and shared how they feel and what they have learned in the factory tour. DNP also invited the key stakeholders to give a seminar to the students explaining the questions that have been designed for this tour.

参观结束后，学生们分享了他们的感受和在参观过程中的收获。东莞日新塑胶制品有限公司还邀请了公司核心成员为学生们做了一次讲座，讲解了为这次参观而设置的相关问题。
