教育是春风化雨。为了厚植学生爱学校，爱深圳，爱祖国的情怀，培养学生敢为人先、披荆斩棘、创新实干的精神，丰富学生校园生活，激发学生英语学习兴趣，提高学生跨文化交流素养，特举办泰然学校中学部“智启杯”演讲比赛。本次演讲采取定题演讲（六年级-summer holiday，七八九年级-I love Shenzhen）的形式。先在班级内进行选拔，然后再进行最后的决赛，决赛环节还邀请到了Miss Amy, Miss Teresa和Mr Chris作为评委给选手在演讲后进行提问。

Education is like spring breeze and drizzle breeding new life. To nurture the love of the students for school, Shenzhen and the country, develop the pioneer, innovative and practical spirit and courage of overcoming obstacles, enrich the school life, stimulate students’interest to learn English, improve students’ cross-culture communication skills , Tairan school middle school department hold a “Wisdom Cup” speech contest. This was a fixed-topic speech contest(G6: Summer Holiday, G7-G9: I love Shenzhen). The qualifying round was hold in each class, the winners from each class went to the final round. In the final round we invited Ms Amy, Teresa, and Mr. Chris for the questions and answers session after the speech.

中学部的学生们伴随着九年级乔爽同学的《莎莉花园》进入礼堂。每个人都很有秩序，安静地到指定座位就坐。

Students of middle school department entered the auditorium while G9 student Qiao Shuang playing “the Sally Garden”on piano. Everyone went to their seats quietly in order.

首先进行的是六年级的演讲比赛，他们演讲的主题是“summer holiday“以此来回顾总结自己美好的假期。别看小家伙儿们才刚刚进入中学部，但演讲起来也个个有模有样的。

First competition was presented by G6 students. Their speech topic was “Summer Holiday”, so to look review their beautiful and happy holidays. Don’t underestimate these little kids who just joined the middle school department, they all behaved professionally in the speech.

下一项是歌唱表演。G6-4班的何俊霖同学上台演唱了lemon tree。这位同学用优美的英语向我们大家完美地演绎了这首动人的歌曲。

Next it was the singing performance. G6-4 student He Junlin performed the song“Lemon tree”, he presented this appealing song perfectly with his beautiful English.

紧接着进行的是七、八、九年级的比赛。同学们用自己的一篇篇精彩的演讲词，一个个亲身经历的故事向我们阐述了自身对于深圳这片土地的热爱。

Followed by was the competition from G7-9 students. They showed their affectionate love for Shenzhen with their real-experienced stories in their wonderful speech.

最后老师们请获奖的学生排成一行，全体师生向所有获奖的学生鼓掌祝贺，这一庄严的环节让学生倍感自豪与喜悦！

At the end of the contest, teachers invited the awarded students to line up, and all other students and teachers clapped to congratulated them, which made the students extremely proud and joyful.
