【Featured Class 闪光课堂】Where We Are in Place and Time 我们所在的空间和时空

First graders have been hard at work with their unit “Where We Are in Place and Time”. Even with the challenge of remote learning, it hasn’t stopped them from fun and happy learning.

一年级的学生们认真探究了“我们所在的空间和时空”这一单元。即使面临着线上学习的挑战，它也没有阻挡孩子们快乐和有趣的学习。

The students have been inquiring about the changes in weather and seasons. They have been keeping a daily weather journal throughout the week to solidify their understanding, they’ve even predicted the weather by doing some research! They took their understanding a step further by showing what weather is like in different seasons and giving advice on what to wear in different seasons, they even had a fashion show to show off their wonderful outfits in different seasons.

学生们探索了天气和季节的变化。他们写了一周的每日天气日记，以巩固他们的理解，他们还通过做一些研究来预测天气！为了探究的深入，体现不同季节的不同天气状况，也伴随着不同的穿着，他们还进行了一场时装秀，展示他们在一年四季的精彩服装穿搭。

Furthermore, they’ve researched the different celebrations we have in different seasons. Through reading and learning about the Thanksgiving holiday, they’ve explored and made connections to other celebrations that they enjoy with their families. The students also made models using different materials from their house to show how they would seat their guests if they were to host a big holiday feast for their friends and family.

此外，他们还探索了在各个季节举行的不同庆祝活动。通过阅读和了解感恩节，他们还建立了与其他节日的联系，以及如何与家人一起庆祝。学生们还使用家里的不同材料制作了模型，以展示假如他们要举办一场节日盛宴，会如何款待家人和朋友们！
